Serendipity 3 and Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

A sculpted garden sundae, topped with a cherry & straw (a glimpse of my mom is in the picture with the sundae further down!) Colorful flowers that looked good enough to eat! Mazes upon mazes of manicured shrubbery! Fountains that leaped into the air! THIS is Serendipity my friends! I swear I wanted to chop that sundae down and put it on the plane with me. LOL

When I first laid eyes on Serendipity 3 in Las Vegas (in 2011) I just knew I was in Wonderland. This charming restaurant opened in 2009 and sits right next to Caesars Palace. Everything about it is magical. From the pink awnings to the cute menus, this place left nothing undone. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also serve ice cream sundaes as BIG as your...ok my head. I suggest sitting outside and enjoying the sights! Bring your camera, because the beautiful Caesar's Palace gardens, prayer temple, and fountains are next door. If you have a platinum card or better, then you should shop at The Forums. HaHa!

My blog buddy Nelah of Maysa and Sunshine recently vacationed at the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. I mentioned to Nelah, that I went April 2011 (it was a surprise trip for my mom's birthday) and would share my experiences on my blog. I was new to blogging back then and didn't feel comfortable sharing personal pics. Now anything goes! HaHaHa Please realize, I didn't have a DLSR camera in 2011. If you've written a blog post on Las Vegas and would like to share your experiences, please share your link on this post. I encourage everyone to visit Vegas at least once. I'll try and put another Vegas post together for you tomorrow.

  3. Vegas looks like one of those strange places where I'm really not sure whether I'd like to visit or not. It's not exactly the most natural of places, is it? ;-)

Thanks for your comment yesterday, it made me smile. I guess one of the reasons why a lot of food is more expensive here is that we don't' have the climate to grow a lot of things and therefore have to import them. Markets are definitely cheaper and better quality than supermarkets and I try to shop as much from small local shops as possible.

Hope you're well, have a great day xo

It looks like this restaurant was designed after the theme of your blog. hehe. Thanks for sharing and that dessert looks way TOO good!

  6. I've never been to Vegas, but when I finally make the trip, I know a visit to Serendipity will be in order! Anywhere with a bush preened into the shape of sundae is as serious about desserts as I am and therefore not to be missed :) The sundae you had looks amazing! Thanks for sharing, Kim :)

  18. Those flowers are lovely and the manicured hedges so beautifully maintained. That's certainly a huge strawberry sundae and I'm sure it would take me quite a while to read through the menus and make a decision!

Seriously - hubby & I talk about it all the time & then end up picking another detour. You have sparked my interest for sure. Such unexpected beauty and scenery that doesn't only consist of casinos and booze.

Thanks for sharing this one! xo

  26. Those gardens are luxurious! And... Is that a strawberry on the top of that whipped delice? Please share more pics of this wonderland. Spring brings out my need for vacation, and the realisation that the holiday of my dreams is years of savings away :-) For now I daydream taking virtual tours when I read my friends' posts. I adore getting glimpses of new places, be them as fancy as Vegas or as cozy as Pulachoula (best strawberries). So thank you Kimmy. How are you doll? I have been feeling you are a little down lately, like a quiescent volcano if you know what I mean. Am I wrong? I'm there for you, you know. Big hugs and tons of whipped sundaes. Love

  32. AHHHHH, why would you do this to me? Absolute envy here! I've been to Serendipity numerous times in New York. Even if I have a stop over for a couple of hours, it's my go-to place. Their chocolate brownie sundae is so orgasmic. Sometimes, in my dark moments, I dream about it. I had NO idea that they opened one in Vegas too?!?!? A trip to Vegas is def overdue now.

Now I'm really hungry. For Serendipity.

Also, last time I went to Vegas was in 2004 and I went with my parents. Worst expierience of life. I did not get the memo that Vegas was not a family oriented place lol.
