Scarlett Johansson: An American In Paris

What I wrote yesterday:
I barely recognized Scarlett Johansson when I saw these pics! She's been dividing her time between the US and Paris. She also has a Parisian boyfriend, Romain Dauriac. Well if this is what Paris does for you, sign me up! HaHaHa I think she looks great! She looks so different! I think she's slimmed down.

What I found out today:
Dammit! No wonder she looks different! Perez Hilton is reporting she was seriously photo shopped!!! Double Dammit! I know this happens with magazines, but too much is too much. Guess it wasn't the Paris life that made her look good after all. Triple Dammit! HaHaHa You guys have a great Thursday!

  1. I think we're all constantly being "deceived" by images in magazines. As much as we know that things are heavily photoshopped, our brain still believes what our eye sees. It's quite shocking really, if they do that with her, then there's no hope for the rest of us... ;-)

  2. Morning Kim! I neither havent recognized her! She looks totally different, you are right! More classy and sophisticated! The photos are in fact fab but what a shame they are photoshopped, I dislike when it is too much! Kisses and have a great day! xo

  3. Her face doesn't look like herself at all here! Photoshopping has just gone too far at this stage - we forget what normal looks like!

  4. I always loved her (she is half danish:) but I don't like how they photoshop people into looking like someone else/ultra thin. Such a bad image to give young (and older) girls everywhere. It's hard enough as it is - Not cool I agree. But she still looks fab ;)
    Happy day love,
    Axx

  5. She's a really beautiful woman, it's so sad that they made her into something she's not. Why can't we just be real women instead of the photo-shopped version of ourselves.

  6. This is why I gave up on reading magazines... as beautiful as the images are - and they are stunning, particularly the first one - there is so little about them that is real. At least with fashion bloggers, what you see is what you get. And there's a chance that if you feel inspired by their outfit, you might be able to afford parts of it, too!

  7. Such a shame when they photoshop so that the person looks nothing like themselves in real life! :(

She is gorgeous as is, doesn't need any photoshop!

That's the good things about blogs - you can see what clothes look like on real people who don't feel the urge to airbrush every shot. Except those that do, and mostly do it badly. Which I don't understand. People see you in real life they know what you look like, why do you feel you have to photoshop it all with the blur tool?!

Ah, bit of a side rant there, haha! Sorry Kim.

  8. She looks marvellous, though why photoshop someone who already looks brilliant to begin with!?! Never makes sense to me. If we would stop being obsessed with our weights and just be healthy, maybe it would change, but as long as magazines allow these things to happen, I guess it will continue. I love the place though, stunning photos. Love the first one. Happy Thursday doll :)) xx

  9. It's so deceiving to the point where it's getting ridiculous. One of the reasons I am slowly weaning myself off the glossies ;-)

  10. Photoshopping distorts whats real, and that's simply not good--in my opinion. That aside, the outfits and sets in these pics are great. Happy "little Friday" to you! :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  11. well that's no fair! she is so gorgeous anyways, why would they need to photoshop her? imagine being her and having such expectations to look like you do in magazines every day!

  12. She is so beautiful already, why the need to photo shop? That drives me crazy!

  13. She is so chic.

    Photoshopping = uncool.

  14. Well why woukd she need photoshopping in the first place? The pictures are great, but some of them lack that healthy glow which makes her even sexier.

  15. :) The photoshop is so obvious! But the photos do look beautiful, especially the first and the black&white ones. I am still wondering why she made the cover of the first issue... I wish they picked a model - there are so many gorgeous ones living in Paris...
Thank you for sharing the photos, Kim!

  16. I had only seen one of these photos before and was really intrigued by Scarlett's enigmatic appeal. She looks sensational. I would love to see the unphotoshopped version

  17. Yeah she definitely looks different in these photos. I wish they'd stop Photoshopping so much! Fun fact: I saw ScarJo a few years ago when she did A View From the Bridge on Broadway. :)

  18. Editorials like this really make me miss the pre-Photoshop days. I can understand it for cleaning up an image but too often they just go totally overboard. I love the way Scarlett is styled here but they should've cooled it with the PS.

She dose look a little different but she has always been gorgeous. The un-photoshop pictures are probably better.

  21. I don't know if it's the photoshop only but she does look a lot different. Maybe it's the make up too, haha. But I definitely like this more grown up Scarlett! Either way she looks amazing!

  23. I'll go with the thought of this is what Paris does to you... Perez Hilton is just envious.

  24. Ugh, why does everyone have to be photoshopped so much, especially when they're already gorgeous? Scarlett is a stunner!

  28. Wow, that is crazy how nearly unrecognizable she is! Someone so young and beautiful does not need that much digital manipulation!

  31. While you're having a good Thursday, here in Australia I'm having a good Friday:D. I still wouldn't look like that if I was photoshopped. She's definitely had a lot of help make up wise. But who can blame her. It's a lot of fun playing arould with different looks. Nice photo shoot in any case :). sparkle2day.com

  32. She still looks fab and very chic! I'm guessing everyone gets a little Photoshopped in magazines, but those editors have to be careful not to edit too much!

  33. I do not understand how far you reach them with Photoshop, it often does not match reality, so sad. She is a beautiful woman, she does not need all this. Happy weekend, darling.

  34. THAT SUCKS THAT THEY DO THAT!!!!MAKES U QUESTION SO MUCH

    ReplyDelete
  35. *sighs* That's so sad. Made me think that if they Photoshopped someone as pretty as Scarlett, is there any hope left for me? Haha.

  36. She looks beautiful in these photos, but I think its sooooooo unnecesary to photoshop photos like this. Scarlett is GORGEOUS just the way she is, there is no need to LIE about the way she looks by photoshopping.

  37. in the 2nd and 5th photo she doesn't even look like herself! look at how they have enhanced her cheekbones..this woman is desired by men and women, she is talented and accomplished..but of course that is not good enough for these stupid magazine people!

  44. To live the life in Paris and US sounds divine to me. I guess Kanye is not the only high profile celeb in love with this city. I love Scarlett but did notice her looking quite different in these photos. Still its an exquisite editorial.

    Have a great week Kim!
