Vintage Sister Lip Licker's Review

I came across a really cute company on the internet about a week ago. They're called Vintage Sister and they sell lip balms. What caught my eye was the really cute packaging! Cute packaging gets me each and every time! HaHaHa Their website states, they have "distinctive lip balms for distinctive tastes". I like distinctive. I like unique. I'm always in the mood for something different when it comes to beauty. Well get this, they have every unique dessertie & drinkie (my made up words haha) lip balm imaginable! THINK, lemon cheesecake, rainbow sherbert, chai tea, etc. I decided to put them to the test and purchased 4 lip balms ($3.50 ea). Each has a sliding lid and very cute illustration on the outer cover. Let's see how they did! You know the scale!
Sweet-Bittersweet-Not Sweet

My Final Thoughts: They have excellent lip balms! They smell really good and they are super creamy & moisturizing. They definitely beat out those EOS lip balm egg thing-a-majings and it slightly edges out my favorite Avon lip balm. Now that says a lot! The only other thing is you'll want to either use clean fingers or get some disposable applicators to avoid cross-contamination or bacteria. The red velvet was disappointing (it moisturizes, but it just doesn't have a red velvet or distinctive cake scent), but hey what company has perfect everything. I'm definitely buying more. Also, these would be really cute gifts and stocking stuffers come holiday time. Just wanted to pass along my fabulous find to you :) And yes my sweet peeps, they SHIP INTERNATIONALLY! Woot! Have A Great Day!

  4. I LOVE lip balms, it's something I can't get enough of and these look so cute. But I'm disappointed, as I would've probably gone for the red velvet - I really like deep berry colours.
    Very cute packages!

    Have a sweet day, Kim!

  5. You had me at pina colada, Kim! Seriously, you always come across the cutest things and I love that you share them with all of us :) I just wish these lip balms came with an applicator, I hate the feeling of lip balm on my fingers... and it makes the product very hard to use on the go!

  6. YUM Kim, these look fab - I actually had a similar one once - red, and I kinda liked the tint it gave , not sure if the company was the same though. Love a good lip balm, especially important with soft lips. Happy day my friend,

  10. Too bad the red velvet was disappointing. Red velvet cake is my favorite! I am addicted to lip moisturizing. I even wear a clear gloss to bed at night. :) Thanks for sharing your review of these products--they look yummy! :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  28. Kim, thanks for the heads up on this cute brand! I also appreciate what you mentioned about eos. Although I love the packaging, I much prefer a really good balm, I'm a Smith's Rosebud Salve freak and have one in every drawer, lol.
p.s. I loved what you had to say on my fashion bullying today.

  31. Oh Kim, the packaging is definitely so cute and creative. The Piña Colada and Snow Cone looks good! But I agree, you will need an applicator. My favourite to use are the Avon lip balms. Easy to use, love the flavours and can't beat the price.

  35. Hiya doll!! These are precious, love the containers and names of them too. Shame the velvet one didn't have enough scent to it, maybe that's something they can improve on from this. I like that it gives a slight tint to the lips. All the others look wonderful too. Will have to check their site out ;)) Have a great day doll xx

  36. I love the packaging. Like you said, they would be great gifts. They look huge in your pics, how wide are the tins roughly? Price is good too. Thanks for sharing, I'm really tempted to buy some too! Susannah (sparkle2day.com)

  43. Oooo, these packages are super cute, and it's cool that all of the scents are based off of desserts and drinks! It would be even better if they were flavored as well, but that's probably asking for too much! The only real drawback with these for me is that the are not the roll on lip balm since the stic-your-finger-in kind can be very messy.

  44. yes this would make a perfect gift! im curious to try the red velvet!
