Etude House: Milk Talk Product Review

Happy Friday Everybody! How cute are these body washes!?! The package is shaped like a refrigerator. HaHaHa They're called Milk Talk and are by Etude House. Etude House is HUGE and very well known in Asian countries! Marketed for teens, adults buy this stuff as much as they do. HaHaHa Etude House has a plethora of products! I could review products for months. So, today let's start with their Milk Talk Body Washes. I purchased the sample pack (that you see below) instead of the full size containers, because I wanted to try as many scents as possible.

Just FYI - The Milk Talk body washes come in Strawberry, Banana, Chocolate and Apple & Steamed Milk (not shown / not reviewed). I purchased mine from eBay (they cost anywhere from $5-$10). You can purchase the full size containers from Sasa.com for about $7.30 (Click HERE). These sample sizes are only good for about 2-3 showers. So I'm going to tell you what full size containers you should get. Don't you love beauty bloggers? We save YOU money!

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet

Milk Talk Banana
Etude House Milk Talk Banana is SWEET
Let's just get to the bottom line. This was my favorite. Go ahead and buy the full-size of this body wash. If you read my last two posts (Holika Holika / Skin Food) Asians, KNOW banana scents! HaHaHa You will literally go bananas. It smells just like the real thing. Don't worry, you won't smell like one after you shower. It's creamy. It lathers well. It leaves your skin moisturized. This body wash gets two thumbs up from me. Love it! I will definitely purchase the full size.

Milk Talk Strawberry
Etude House Milk Talk Banana is Not Sweet
This SCREAMS artificial and the scent is almost non-existent. Did I get a bad batch? Is the larger size any better? Anyone? Anyone? Skip this one, it's not worth spending or wasting your money on. I know there are better strawberry body washes out there. I've seen good reviews for this scent, but it's not a winner in my book.

Milk Talk Chocolate
Etude House Milk Talk Chocolate is Bittersweet
It's ok. It's just not chocolatey enough for me. My standards are HIGH! The chocolate scent is very light. It's nice, but it just doesn't have oomph! Go ahead and try it, if you don't want an overwhelming chocolate scent but I bet you can do better. Those are my opinions and I'm sticking with them! LOL

I'm ordering the full-size apple and steamed milk. When I receive them I'll do a review. Next week I'll post a review on Etude House's Sweet Recipe products (Spring Collection). It was based on Hansel & Gretel, so you know it has a sweet theme. Also I'll have a review on DIOR, a book review and a sweet new subscription box I subscribed to. See you next week!!!

  1. Happy Friday doll :) Super review!! Shame the ones weren't so great, but at least the banana one was...good thinking getting the smaller sizes first or it would have been a waster for you with the ones you didn't like. I hope you have a marvellous weekend doll, am back on Monday!! xx

  2. You do help save money Kimmy. Ewww...the scent of artificial strawberry is bad. The banana one looks real good. I am so glad that Korean and Japanese products are a lot more accessible these days compare to when i first arrived in the US, they were almost non existent. Etude cosmetic line is pretty good to (at least 9 years ago when i used some of them). I am currently trying a few things from Tatcha, so far so good.

  12. Etude Houde products have the cutest packaging! Bummer that they weren't all winners but it's good to know the Banana got your stamp of approval. I love banana scented products. You're awesome for doing these reviews Kim!

Rena & I thank you for your sweet comment about our bobs. Yes mine is an inverted one. I find the angle helps release the weight of my hair cause it's quite thick and unruly. This was the original hair that Rena came with. She got tired of her bangs and went back the bob. I've never cut her hair but I did have a go at Ian's original hair. I really need to do a post on how they looked when they first came to live with me :) I bet you looked so cute with a bob and I hope to see you rocking one again soon girl! The Korean beauty market is too huge! I meant to mention that you should also look at the brand Laneige. Song Hye Kyo who was my style crush earlier this week is their spokesmodel and is her skin enviable or what? The lipstick she wore in one of the eps. of the drama she was in earlier this year sold out overnight! They're known for their sleeping pack mask and a yogurt mask which I think are both available through Sasa. I'm just gonna keep suggesting things to you as I think of them if you don't mind :)

    Have a sweet weekend babe!

  17. Doesn't sound like these are the best - banana isn't my favorite scent and if the other two aren't worth it then i'd have to pass.

  24. Hi Kim! Seriously, your reviews are awesome! I don't own much Korean or Japanese beauty products because I get intimidated by the language. I never know what's in it so it's great that you're doing all these reviews for us. :) Looking forward to all your future reviews! Have a great weekend, my dear friend!

  35. That refrigerator packaging is so cute! Those scents sound yummy. It seems like it's so hard to find strawberry scented products that aren't artificially sweet. The apple one sounds like it will be a great one. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

So sad that the strawberry smells artificial.. that's one of the worst things for fruity products. Glad the banana worked out though!
