EOS Lavender Jasmine and Travel Size Pomegranate Raspberry Shave Cream Product Review

Have you tried eos (evolution of smooth) shave cream? If so, please share your thoughts in my comments section. I received a full size sample of their lavender jasmine shave cream and a travel size sample of their pomegranate raspberry shave cream for review. For the record (my older readers), I purchased eos' pomegranate raspberry shave cream last year and wrote a review (I still feel the same), but the purpose of this review is to try their new travel size. Below are my thoughts on both.

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)
EOS Lavender Jasmine Shave Cream - $3.49 - Sweet
I like it. The container is NOT like regular cans of shave cream, that can dent or leave rust stains if they fall or get wet. I also like that you don't have to shake the can (like propellant cans). You can leave the can of shave cream in your shower or bath and simply pump out the product. It pumps with ease. The lavender jasmine scent is very light and pleasant. That's big for me, because I dislike heavy scented products. The shave cream is creamy and has a very light lavender color. I have stubbly, coarse, Sasquatch hair! HaHaHa and this shave cream made all the hairs on my legs stand up for an easy shave. My legs felt super smooth and my skin felt moisturized afterwards. I didn't experience any adverse reaction while using this product (legs, underarms etc.). I DID use double the amount of pumps per leg than recommended (I used 6 pumps per leg instead of the recommended 3; but I'm tall 6'0 and have long legs LOL). This shave cream when dispensed looks like a lotion instead of a foam (like most shave creams). Some people have a problem with that (lotion texture instead of foam). It's a different experience, and I must admit that I have to get use to it also. Some other things to note is that this shave cream is paraben free, contains no animal by-products, is not tested on animals and contains aloe, natural conditioning oils, oat, shea butter and vitamin E & C. It comes in pomegranate raspberry, vanilla bliss, lavender jasmine, sensitive (fragrance free, hypoallergenic & dermatologist tested) and can be purchased at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Ai, Duane Reade, Evolutionofsmooth.com and Drugstore.com. Bottom line: I know this is better for me than my regular shaving cream, but it pretty much does the same thing as my regular shaving cream. I can't give it a Bittersweet rating, because it does a really good job, but I don't see where it does a BETTER job (again, besides being better/healthier for you & the environment). I still have to shave my legs just as often and cost is still a factor (as in my previous review). So those are my thoughts.

EOS Travel Size Pomegranate Raspberry Shave Cream - $1.00 - Sweet
I think it's awesome that companies are making travel-friendly sizes of their products. This is the same formula as mentioned above in my full size review (so I will not repeat), but it's a different scent and in a TSA approved size container. This size is great for travel, the gym, weekend getaways etc. Anywhere you don't want to bring your full size bottle of shave cream, this is the perfect size. You are suppose to press the top and squeeze the cream out, but I found it difficult. The bottom portion of the container is hard, so squeezing takes effort. The better solution (for me) was to just unscrew the top and dispense the product. EOS may need to revisit the package design for this one. The pomegranate raspberry scent is also nice.

  13. I have only used the EOS lipbalm and I love it! I didn't know they make shaving creams too. But since EOS is being sold only in the U.S. I am sad. Thank God my sister lives in the USA and I can get sometimes a nice lipbalm haha. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about these. I think I am going to like the 1st one because I love lavender.

But not sure if they will have it in the Walgreens by me...they do not even carry seltzer water without artificial sugar in it but I am looking for shave cream/gel I do not use the regular stuff it does not work well for me.

  20. Thanks for the review Kim! I've been meaning to try this shaving cream. I don't think I'd actually mind that it's more like a lotion since I've actually used lotion to shave my legs before when I ran out of shaving cream. I think it gives a closer shave btw. Their range of scents sounds great.

  21. I actually prefer lotion-y like substance over the foam. It generally does a better job moisturizing and means you are wasting less product. However, I think hair conditioner does a pretty darn good job and I can get a cheap bottle of that for $1 and it lasts forever! I'll have to try it to see if I get a smoother shave, though, since the scents sound nice. Thanks for the review!

  25. I use the EOS lip balm but had no idea they also made a shave cream! I'd try it out but ever since I tried shaving with coconut oil I haven't looked back! It's the smoothest shave I've ever gotten!

I dont shave my legs not because I am against it but because I don't grow hair on my legs weirdly.
