Farmhouse Fresh Whoopie Cream Body Wash Review

a whoopie pie consists of two small chocolate cakes, that have creamy frosting sandwiched between them. i haven't had one in years. well, i was super excited when i came across a bath & beauty company called Farmhouse Fresh that actually makes a whoopie cream body wash (they also make a corresponding hand cream)! their products are made up of 99.6% natural and naturally-derived ingredients. everything they make is paraben & sulfate free and their fragrances are all natural or phthalate free. also, many of their products are vegan and gluten free. well, i tried it! it smells heavenly in the bottle (all of their packaging is so cute and for this particular product i love the flip top and beautiful label). this body wash smells exactly like chocolate cake and white icing mixed together! it's creamy, rich, lathers beautifully and moisturizes really well. but then there's a WHOOPS! not a whoopie...but a whoops! this baffled me. once you pour it, it smells artificial and the scent disappears. i don't understand this! how can something smell so rich and good in the container, yet smell artificial once poured??? i wanted to love this, but it just didn't happen (i've been testing it for weeks). oh well! i haven't given up on Farmhouse Fresh! i'm currently trying one of their masks and i'm going to try some of their other products (Oprah loves them!). i couldn't find actual whoopie pies for this post, but i did find these cute chocolate Hello Kitty frosted cupcakes...they were almost too cute to eat. ;)

  7. What!?! I was excited for this to be brilliant, the description of it sounds marvellous, that's a shame there was no smell really once you used it. I hate that. It's like buying a really expensive perfume that has a super strong smell when testing it, to find that it fades after less than 10 minutes. Such a shame. This sounded marvellous, super review doll. Xxxx

  8. Shame that it didn't smell as great as you thought it would! At least the cupcake looked great, I bet that was delicious, haha!

  9. Lol, Kim I didnt know that kind of cake but once I saw it on wikipedia I got it, yum! I never had it! I was totally fascinated by the description of the product but then so disappointed too, so sorry! You know, I had the same result in some natural products which smell good from the bottle but once applied the scent is zero and artificial!:/ But at least the cupcakes are so sweet!:P Hugs! xo

  12. What a bummer it didn't smell as good as it did in the bottle. I love the title and how cute it looks from the outside. On the other hand, that cupcake looks so good and I can't believe how delicious the frosting looks! Yum!!

  13. Those cute HK cupcakes almost distracted me from your review Kim :) I'm loving the Farmhouse Fresh Bunny hand cream and have been interested in trying their other products as well. This was one of them. It's a shame that the yummy scent in the bottle doesn't translate once you pour it out as it sounds so promising otherwise. Thanks for the review!

  19. How strange - and incredibly disappointing - that the smell disappears when you pour the product out of the bottle! I was so tempted by this scent but I'm going to have to give it a pass now.

  25. This is so cute but I would have liked it to be more like whipped cream - if I'm seeing the picture correctly it looks less creamy…….I hope that makes sense hahaha!!! :)

Your pictures are super-cute though!! :)

  28. I first came across whoopie pies a couple of years ago in The Hummingbird Bakery, London and they were so good I decided to make some(I even bought a special cake tray and recipe book!) but they were not a success. Disappointing like the body wash! Those cupcakes are so cute, too pretty to eat ...maybe not!

  29. I had no idea what whoopie pies were… now I do.
SOrry to hear that even though this body wash seemed to create great expectations just with the name it was bittersweet.

  35. The packaging is so beautiful I want to love it and I haven't even smelled it! It's too bad it didn't smell real outside of the package. I've found that it is rare for anything chocolate smell or flavored (besides real chocolate)to really smell or taste like chocolate. It's unfortunate since chocolate is just sooooooooooo amazing. :)

  53. I'll definitely passed on this. I'm very much into scents. :X If it smells artificial, I don't think I'll use it twice.

  54. I am completely baffled by your review. I used this this morning. I poured some into my bath pouf and worked up the lather. It immediately filled the entire bathroom with a sweet heavenly aroma. Not artificial at all. I didn't apply any lotion afterwards, however at 6pm this evening I still have a light sweet scent on my skin. Love this stuff. I'm sure I'd have more scent if I had used the lotion after bathing.

  55. I'm glad your experience was good! I still stand by my experience. It smells artificial.
