Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel

Hey Everybody! I'm passing through Memphis, Tennessee en route back to New Orleans! HaHaHa So I'll be blogging from Memphis a couple of days! Memphis is known for their barbeque, soul music, Beale street, civil rights history and Elvis Presley. Speaking of Elvis, I'm staying at the coolest place! It's called Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel (It's on Lonely St. and it's named after one of Elvis' songs). I picked this particular hotel, because I've always wanted to see Graceland (Elvis' home) in person and this hotel is right across the street from it. This hotel has furry phones, vintage televisions (that play Elvis movies & music 24/7), leopard chairs, a heart-shaped pool and pictures of Elvis everywhere. It's a small, older hotel, but it has so much charm. Plus, everyone is friendly. I swear I'm the youngest person here! HaHaHa They're looking at me, like "what do you know about Elvis?" Really not very much! But I've always wanted to see it in person. I'm such a middle-aged-old soul! Back to the hotel. This is not a 5 or even 4 Star Hotel (It's a 3 Star Hotel). It's very basic, but ALL rooms have free wi-fi, a small refrigerator, ac/heat unit and microwave. They also have free breakfast (muffins, toast, juice, cereals, biscuits, fresh fruit, eggs, grits, sausage, milk, jams, danish, donuts, assortment of fresh fruit). I'm having so much fun! I even brought my heart-themed makeup! LOL It's about 85F here right now! When I left Cincy it was 48F! What a temperature difference! It's so hot, I pulled out my sandals. LOL NO Fall weather here! LOL Here are some pics. Enjoy :)

I would stay in that hotel just for the furry phone! That's so awesome! :) I used to know a lady who was obsessed with Elvis, I thought of her when I read your post! She's visited Graceland many times, I'm sure she will have stayed at this hotel at some point! :) Sadly we lost touch, or I'd be emailing her your post right now asking her, haha!

My baby sis has been to the Heartbreak Hotel and loved it. She's an Elvis fan (has been since day one!). Safe, enjoyable travels to you!!! T. xx T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
