Good Morning! Bonjour! I received a parcel from France! I never would've thought my FIRST purchase from Paris would be a box of cereal! HaHaHa Only moi! HaHaHa The shipping was more expensive than the cereal itself! But I'm so happy with my purchase. I love Anya Hindmarch (English luxury handbag designer) and had to get her Kellogg's Fashion Flakes from Colette (Paris). I didn't learn about Colette until I started blogging. They have some really cool stuff! Beyonce and Pharell were just there! I love shopping internationally. It opens you up to different & unique products. It's funny, these Frosted Flakes taste better than the ones here in the States. HaHaHa They're Gr-r-r-eat! HaHaHa They're crunchier and the box is huge! I'm going to glue the top and use it as a closet shelf decoration. Sorta like designer shopping bags in your closet (Chanel)!?! I'll have a fashion cereal box! I thought this would be a cheaper way of curbing my desire for owning her clutch, however it just makes me want it more. LOL Enter my giveaway below to win your own Fashion Flakes cereal box (includes cereal). Have A Gr-r-r-eat Week!
Beauty Wishes & Sweet Kisses is another new holiday set by Too Faced Cosmetics ($34 USD Macys - Sephora - Too Faced Cosmetics - HSN). I LOVE IT, but some beauty bloggers are not as thrilled. NOT because it's not good, but because they already have ALL THE PRODUCTS IN THE SET. HaHaHa But for those that don't (like me), it's pretty DREAMY! It features three (3) eyeshadows from Too Faced's popular Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Collection - White Chocolate, Creme Brûlée and Haute Chocolate (see my review from earlier this year), Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Snow Bunny Bronzer and a SNEAK PEEK of Naked Dolly which is a La Creme Lip Gloss launching Spring 2015. Why do I love it? Three reasons!
1. It's simple and EVERYTHING is at your fingertips to create a beautiful look! I don't know about you, but large makeup palettes intimidate me (especially eye-shadows). I never know what colors to match with what. This smaller set makes things, SO much easier (and approachable). If it wasn't for the chocolate theme of Too Faced's Chocolate Bar eye-shadow palette I probably wouldn't have purchased it! This simplifies that process. I hope Too Faced makes MORE of these kind of kits in the future. It's small, concise and no-fuss.
2. You get to sample an assortment of Too Faced's best sellers! I've never tried Too Faced's Chocolate Soleil Bronzer or Snow Bunny Bronzer! I love BOTH of them and plan on buying full sizes of each. So this small kit, let me sample what I was curious about :). I'm a woman of color. I didn't think I would like or need a bronzer. By trying this, I've changed my mind.
3. Fabulous packaging! This comes in a really CUTE and FUNCTIONAL tin! The lid is hinged and opens & closes (SNAPS CLOSED) beautifully. Nothing will fall out! It has a glitzy, gold & glittery background (the gold stays put and DOES NOT get into the makeup). This will easily fit into a medium cosmetic case or your purse. Great for travel! You can take it with you!
Now, let me suggest two things if you purchase this. Use a light hand with the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. It's easy to go overboard and you will look sun burnt and not kissed if you apply too much. The "new" unreleased lip gloss starts off really good, however a couple of hours later it gets a little "gummy". You know! Like you're wiping the corners of your mouth. Lol I hate that. Must be something with the formula. To avoid this, re-apply every couple of hours.
Now some more good stuff about this palette! It has a light, but sweet chocolate scent. Once you use the eyeshadows, I SWEAR you will want to purchase Too Faced's Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette. Apply the Snow Bunny Bronzer wherever you want a kiss of frost on your face (it's perfect for winter and is a little different than a highlighter). Ok, that's my review! Sorry for the length, but I felt like I had to explain things. All I know is I felt like a "snow bunny" at a ski resort after applying it. HaHaHa All I needed was a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows and a cabin in Aspen (strike that, hotel suite) HaHaHa! Have a great weekend everybody!
I used White Chocolate underneath my eyebrows and Creme Brulee on my eyelids. I did not use Haute Chocolate. I used Chocolate Soleil Bronzer all over my face (over my foundation). I applied Snow Bunny Bronzer on the tip & bridge of my nose and apples of my cheeks. Naked Dolly is on my lips. This set creates a beautiful neutral look. I'm loving brown and pink together.
Bust out the mistletoe, because Too Faced Cosmetics has released a Melted Kisses set for the holidays. I ordered mine from Macy's (Sold Out), but you can purchase this set at Sephora ($25 USD) and of course Too Faced Cosmetics. I swatched a couple of Melted Kisses colors at ULTA this Summer and thought they were cool, but never bought anything. Well that changed as soon as I saw this! I mean, you can buy them individually for $21 each (at ULTA) or you can get 4 in this set for $25. Now, the catch is the tubes are NOT full-size, but they're deluxe size. If you love bold colors, then you'll love this set. If you don't like bold colors, then you won't like this set. HaHaHa Personally my favorite is the melted nude (go figure) and I plan on purchasing a full size of it! I'm going for a neutral makeup look this Fall & Winter to match my wardrobe, so the nude will be perfect for me. As you can see, all colors are super pigmented and these were pretty glossy (unlike the samples I tried in ULTA...maybe because they were samples, they dried out a bit..hmmm). The velvet angled applicator, also feels really good to the lips while applying (see gif below). The only one that's problematic is Melted Berry. It has a tendency to bleed out (into lines). Maybe you can use that one for Halloween! HaHaHa It's definitely blood-lust and vampirish LOL I BITE your neck! HaHaHa Has anyone seen the trailer for the movie Annabelle or Dracula Untold? I really must be getting old, because I can't take watching crazy dolls, exorcisms and gory movies anymore. HaHaHa Speaking of Halloween, MAC cosmetics is coming out with a Rocky Horror Picture Show Makeup Collection September 29th (but sometimes they release early...check my post about that). If you love RED lipstick, there are FOUR in the Rocky Horror collection and other cool goodies. I'll review Too Faced's Beauty Wishes & Sweet Kisses for you Friday. Kisses my friends!
Barbie has been buzzin’ in the fashion world lately!
Moschino showcased a collection of Barbie inspired accessories and clothes
during Milan Fashion Week. Wildfox will be releasing a “Welcome to the Dreamhouse” collection. And about 2 weeks ago, Forever 21 released a
collection for both girls & women. The collection sold like hot cakes
(there are a few items left on their website from the collection)! I was only
interested in the lipstick set because I'm an adult HaHaHa, but a pajama set also somehow fell into my shopping cart.
HaHaHa I purchased a second lipstick set, and will be giving it away to a lucky AVSB reader. You'll receive the same lipstick set (as shown below). This giveaway is open worldwide! Use the rafflecopter widget below to enter. Be sure to follow me on instagram, because I always talk about upcoming beauty & fashion collections on there (as i did with this one).
I only swatched the red and fuchsia, because the light pink is more like a lip balm. Both colors are very pigmented and really moisturizing. They are definitely hi-gloss! Below is my pajama set. Have a great week!
