Sample Sunday: The Balm TimeBalm Skincare Coconut Milk Cleansing Face Cream

DO NOT waste your money on The Balm's Coconut Milk Cleansing Face Cream. I don't know it's affect on other skin types, but I (dry/sensitive) only had to use it ONCE (and only HALF the packet) to know it wasn't good. The coconut scent smelled artificial. My face didn't feel clean after using it. I felt residue on my skin afterwards. My face also felt dry and a little tight, after using this product. Plus, this cleanser only did an OK job removing makeup. Have you tried any skincare products from The Balm? I love their Mary, Betty, and Cindy-Lou Manizers (which I'll be reviewing soon), but I can't get with this! You can find all my The Balm reviews here.

  9. Ooh, I do not like feeling like I've washed my face, then added a different layer of something that feels greasy, or oily, sticky, etc. Thanks for the review.

  13. This product would've intrigued me because I love anything coconut but it's good to know that it's just not good for dry//sensitive skin which I also have. Thanks for the heads up Kim!

  14. Wow - only half a packet and you already knew it wasn't for you? That's fast. But better to learn quickly than continue to use it and suffer the after effects for longer, I guess!

  15. This product looks interesting, but after reading your review I know that it isn't as good as I thought. I haven't tried this brand, because it's unavailable in my country, Kim.

  17. Too bad this disappointed! I adore coconut scent--when it's not artificial smelling. The idea of residue does not sound good at all, either. T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  25. Lucky! You only had a sample size! Too bad this didn't work out. Thanks for the review Kim! Btw, I'm so happy you like L'Occaitane! I'm not familiar with their products but I went in one day to buy their hand cream and body cream and I fell in love with them. Can't wait to read your review!

  28. I am not a fan of artificial coconut smells too! It irritates my nose and I keep sneezing like crazy.

  29. Never heard of the brand, sorry to hear it sucked.
I actually thought of you today as I walked into Sephora and saw many products you have reviewed.
I restrained from shopping as I was working.
