Whim Crackling Embers & #Trending Review & Swatches

Below are two more nail polishes I purchased for Fall (as promised from last week >.<). They're from Whim, which is an Ulta Brand I had never tried. I loved the square/rectangle shaped bottle ... ahem Butter London :) ... and variety of colors offered in the Whim collection, but what about the formula? I picked 2 colors from their Fall 2015 Collection and below are my thoughts.

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)

Whim Nail Lacquer in Crackling Embers - Supersweet

I see MANY colors within this one shade! It's a copper, bronze-y brown, orange and metallic shade.  Do you see it? I took indoor and outdoor pics so you could see how the shade changes. It's very pretty, and I plan on wearing it September - November. It's a really pretty Fall shade. Only ONE coat on my nails below and the wearing time was 4-5 days.  It also has a beautiful shine to it.

Whim Nail Lacquer in #Trending - Supersweet

Psst! My little makeup room is in development (right now it's just a frame & plaster...fingers crossed mid 2016 by the time I put it all together). Putting a makeup room together, made me officially start curating all the makeup I do have. I have red polishes, pink polishes, peach polishes etc. but I don't have one burgundy nail lacquer. The closest thing I have to burgundy is Gwen Stefani's I Sing In Color (which is A LOT DARKER...google it). So I thought this would be great for my collection. The name of this is #Trending and you know what? OXBLOOD (aka Burgundy) IS BACK (at least for lips & makeup)! I'm hearing the word a lot while following Fashion Week. So NOW, I can understand why this is called #Trending (because it is). TWO COATS are on my nails below. You can do one, but two gives it a really nice finish. Wearing time again was 4-5 days.

I am REALLY IMPRESSED with Whim nail polishes! They have excellent pigmentation. They apply well. Their durability is great. They also change out their colors often, which is refreshing. Their overall color selection is very unique. Whim can be found at ULTA. There's always a sale, so be sure to catch one to get the most for your money. 13. both of these nail polishes are amazing, but the first one is my favourite because (as you say) it seems to be composed out of more than one shade (brownish, metallish, wonderfulish;)). It is great they last 4 to 5 days with only one coat.

Thank you for the sweet comment you left.

  27. Crackling Embers has to be the best name of all time for a nail polish - it's so accurate as well! I would definitely wear both of these shades for Autumn (which funnily enough, is a season that started today!) :)

  40. Wow only 1 coat ? No Way! Whim has an amazing product on there hands & I can't wait to get mine on a couple. The opacity of their polishes are perfect if you are in a rush because you only have to use 1 coat. The less coats you use the faster your nails will dry.

  47. I am so impressed by the results you got from these polishes, Kim! Just one coat is amazing from almost any brand, but for it to last so long is even better. I was gifted a lot of nail polishes for my birthday so I won't be buying any for a while but I am definitely keeping Whim in mind for the future.
