Becca Poured Shimmering Skin Perfectors in Rose Gold, Opal & Topaz: Review and Swatches

I have a headache! LOL I purchased several of Becca's POURED Shimmering Skin Perfectors last year.  They were on sale at Ulta. I'm just getting around to reviewing them, because I had to pack my makeup up due to construction. Welllllllllll, Becca has THREE TYPES of Skin Perfectors: PRESSED, LIQUID & POURED. Me did not know that! :P HaHaHa When I did my Champagne Pop Collection Review, the POURED Champagne Pop threw me for a loop. I didn't quite get it. Well these three threw me for a loopy-loop! But I've done a little research and think I've figured them out...

After using PRESSED, POURED & LIQUID SKIN PERFECTORS, I prefer (and would recommend to you) PRESSED & LIQUID! PRESSED gives you A LOT of pigmentation that you can SEE on your face. LIQUID gives your skin beautiful illumination, plus you can mix it in with your foundation, primer, bb cream etc. I'm not as impressed with POURED EXCEPT ... EXCEPT FOR OPAL! My review for each is below.

 Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Topaz  - Sweet

Topaz swatched BEAUTIFULLY! It's a bronze with lots of gold in it! You can see it on my nose, cheeks & cupids bow. BUT, this is for darker skin tones (according to Becca's video below) and I must agree.  For me to wear this, I have to bronze & contour for it to look good. So, I wouldn't recommend this for lighter skin tones. Also...once you apply Topaz, it's not as pigmented as you would swatch it on your hand. You're blending it INTO your makeup! So it spreads out, gives you a wisp of color but lots of luminosity.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold - Bittersweet

I didn't like Rose Gold at all. And now, I know why! I'm a medium skin tone. AGAIN, in Becca's video (below) they state this is for darker skin tones. LOL It doesn't look bad, but I could tell something wasn't right. See, this is why it's important to research products before purchasing. BUT my mistake, will help someone from making the same mistake. That's why I love blogging. Rose Gold simply blended into my skin. So all I can use it for is luminosity.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal - Supersweet

Here's THE WINNER! OPAL! This surprised me and knocked my socks off! It's a Universal "color" and I love it! I'm going to start using this everyday. Opal seems to give your skin a natural lit from within glow. It is so beautiful! I'm not sure if I captured it in these pictures, but I was like WOW! I put it on my cheeks, forehead, under my eyebrows, and cupids bow. I love the glow it gave my face. It's fab. The next time this is on sale BUY IT! FYI - I'm wearing Kylie's Lip Gloss in Literally; Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Sand

  5. Wow - three different types of the same product? I would immediately be overwhelmed and give up without trying any of them! But I must admit Kim, they do look gorgeous on you, especially the opal - I love the lit from within glow it seems to give you!

  6. Oh, interesting! I have the pressed and liquid versions of Opal but didn't even know there was a poured formula - obviously I need that now to complete my collection!

  10. I didn't know they had the poured version for the longest time too! Opal just looks like a winner for sure, it's such a flattering color! I have Rose Gold in the pressed version, it's not a highlight on me at all, I'm so fair it works best as a blush topper.

  11. Great review! All 3 are pretty but I think Rose Gold is my favorite for my skin tone. That stinks it didn't work for you. Opal is really pretty too! I'm glad you love that one.

  12. Until your reviews, I didn't realize that they had a poured version, either. I have one of the liquids, and I like it more than I thought I would. Opal is a really pretty shade. Sorry the other colors didn't work out as well.

  13. The peeps at Becca probably thought,"Hey, why only have one Skin Perfector when you can have three?" Nyuk nyuk nyuk....anyhoo, that Opal really is a stand out, Kim:) Thanks for swatching.

  14. I have not tried these yet Kim, and I am
wondering how they are in contrast to Anastasia's illuminators, which I love at the moment. I like the Opal one, and blogs are great for learning about new brands, & products tested. Trial and error, it always helps others! Lovely review. Thanks! :-)

  15. It's too bad the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold was such a disappointment but it sounds like the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal more than made up for it. It really gives you such a pretty glow Kim! Love the entire face!

  16. I have the liquid and pressed but not this cream version or poured as Becca calls it. Opal looks absolutely stunning, Kim! Another one added into my ever growing Becca list.

  18. Yet another great review, Kim! I love the idea and look of Topaz. I've never tried blending a perfector into my foundation before, but I'd love to give it a try for a natural looking glow all over! I also liked that you explained the differences between pressed, poured, and liquid perfectors because I'd have no idea otherwise, haha! Thanks so much for sharing, you're always so helpful and informative! I hope you're having a wonderful week so far!

  24. I didn't know about the poured version either until recently!! I prefer pressed powder products. I'm it very good at applying cream or liquid ones. The all look beautiful, but you're right that Opal is th star here! Rose gold looks very pretty, almost looks like it could be a blush lol!
