Planete Chocolate

Sponsored: Can we talk chocolate today? I was taught by my grandparents to always have a box of chocolates in your home during the holidays. They thought chocolates were nice to have for guests or to nibble on when you wanted something sweet. When Planete Chocolat asked if I would like to try their chocolates, I immediately thought of my family's Christmas tradition and SMILED.

Planete Chocolat is a Belgian Chocolaterie that ships via DHL ... WORLDWIDE. I couldn't believe I was receiving, authentic handmade chocolates all the way from Brussels AND the fact they offered USA Delivery! They sent me a lovely box of their Christmas Chocolates. The packaging the chocolates come in is exquisite. Planete Chocolat really pays attention to detail. My box of chocolates came in a super soft, chocolate-brown velvet bag, inscribed with the company's logo. The box that actually contains the chocolates is gold, and decorated with the cutest gingerbread men, holly, candy canes, snowflakes, ornaments & baubles. A beautiful card, in a gold envelope was also included. Planete Chocolat's presentation is absolutely spectacular and they should be commended for doing such a great job.

Want to know what else is spectacular? Their chocolate. You guys know how particular I am (about everything) and I'll always tell you how I truly feel ... whether a post is sponsored or not. This has to be the best chocolate I have ever tried. They just sent these to me and I literally have 3 pieces left! HaHaHa I did share them with my mom & she shares my sentiments. This is the best tasting chocolate. They're bite size. They're creamy. They're not overly sweet. There's never a chocolate after taste or bitterness. They melt in your mouth. The flavors & fillings never overpower the chocolate. They're smooth. Everything blends together. There's a chart that describes each one. I never bothered to look at it! I dislike coconut, and guess what? Somewhere during the Thanksgiving holidays, I ate it. HaHaHa That's how subtle these chocolates taste. I ate the white chocolate, milk chocolate & dark chocolate! HaHaHa Planete Chocolat sent me one floor of chocolates (24 pieces). This box can hold two floors (48 pieces). Do not hesitate to give these as a gift to yourself, family & friends, or co-workers.

One more thing! When looking at Planete Chocolat's website, I couldn't help but notice they have (wait for it) CHOCOLATE COSMETICS (BEAUTY PRODUCTS)! They have chocolate hand cream, shower gel, bubble bath, body lotion, massage oil, bath caviar, macaron soaps and chocolate liquid hand soap. Pass the defibrillator, because I am having a beauty heart attack. HaHaHa I SO want to try these products! They look so good! Ok, I'm regaining my composure. I want to thank Planete Chocolat for sending me these lovely Christmas Chocolates all the way from Brussels. They are OUTSTANDING and I really appreciate the gesture. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts with my readers.

  6. The presentation is so festive and fun but that all means nothing if the chocolate isn't good so it's great to hear that these chocolates tasted as amazing as they did. Definitely a fantastic gift idea Kim! Their beuaty products sound crazy good too!

  7. Finally a good chocolate company that offers DHL shipping worldwide! Love the packaging too and we are huge chocolate fans in this house so I might do a cheeky order for ourselves. Thank you for the recommendation, Kim!

  8. Having a box of chocolates at home during the holidays is such a wonderful tradition but one that, I admit, often leads to me slowly eating the whole box myself! I usually just buy Cadbury's but knowing that there is a Belgian chocolate company that ships worldwide could be dangerous - these look and sound absolutely divine, Kim!

  16. Just looking at the pics is making me salivate, Kim! Sigh....am a huge chocolate fan. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who break out if I eat tons of it, which is really quite depressing. Anyhoo, I still eat them coz life's too short! And yes to chocolate cosmetics for sure!:D
Hope you're having a lovely Monday, my dear:)

  17. Girl, I know that you ALWAYS share your honest thoughts on products either sponsored or not, you have VERY high standards, haha, so I know when you say something is super sweet or sweet (how fitting is that for this post though, haha) then it's a hit! I think it's awesome that they ship internationally, it makes for such an impressive gift or to, like you do, keep them on hand at home for guests. The fact that you ate chocolate that had coconut when you don't typically eat it, vouches for their well balanced taste. Oh, and I love how the packing looks like wrapping paper, so pretty! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having the best start to your week so far!

  19. Aww, that's such a sweet memory. When I think of fancy chocolate boxes, I think of Matilda! I'm not gonna lie, whenever I receive boxes of fancy chocolates I devour them within a few days XD This box sounds amaaazing! I would definitely finish it just as quickly :) Best chocolate ever is a pretty tall order so it must be some really good chocolate! As always thanks for the honest review, Kim!

  27. your usual grading system is very appropriate for this post (sweet, super sweet, not sweet)! I would love to give these chocolates a try. I like the offer a great variety with this box, both white, milk and dark chocolate- I actually love them all. I love sweets and chocolate is my weakness.
I didn't know you disliked coconut, I love it, especially with chocolate.
