How To Dress Fashionable On A Tight Budget

We all want to look good, but sometimes our budget says "no" to us, so that we have to do something to have a wonderful outfit, but spend not really that much money. The experts claim that we shouldn't worry and that it is easy to look great even on a tight budget.

Here are the tips they suggest to follow:

1. Visualize What to Wear

Katie Cline recommends planning what you are going to buy. She states that each buyer has to develop his or her clothes vision. Katie insists: "You've already decided how you want your wardrobe to look, so start going through and finding what fits your vision and what doesn't". It means that first of all, you have to take a pen and a sheet of paper and write down or draw what wardrobe elements you really see on you. It worth mentioning that this should be those clothes you like the most and which fits you the best.

2. Manage Your Present Clothes

Katie is rather radical about the clothes you don't like right now or that does not fit you. She simply notes: "Take the pile of things you don't wear or use and…Sell, trade or toss". This is a good idea, isn't it? If you trade your present clothes, you can earn some money and invest it in buying the clothes that you like, which fits you, and which is top trendy now. also, if you hate the memories about the clothes item, you would better throw it into trash.

3. Limit Your Spendings

In order to look expensive on a budget, you'll need to limit yourself. Cline suggests setting a spending goal per month that you can live with. Just mark the amount of money you allow yourself to spend each month with no regrets and troubles. Doing this will help you concentrate more on the products affordable for you. In such a way you will find the acceptable price, no doubt.

4. Update Accessories Only

Buying clothes every season might be too expensive, so it's better to do it once in a few years. Jacqueline Curtis offers purchasing only the accessories to underline your style. That will refresh your look and if you select the right classical clothes, your surroundings will not even notice that you wear the same shirts for a few seasons. Accessories have a great power, so use them!

5. Shop at the Discount Stores

There is a lot of stores where you can find the brand new clothes or shoes for a small price. For example, you may visit Marshall's, Ross, TJ Maxx, or Burlington Coat Factory and find there is a great choice of a superb trendy end-of-the-season clothes. Why should you pay more if it's so easy to pay less?

6. Wear 3 Bs: Black, Blazer, and Boots

If you want to look stylish on a budget you will have to have few main elements of wardrobe for each day. You have to be able to wear them everywhere and for every event. For example, it can be short ankle boots, black, and blazer outfits. Such a casual style can be wearable almost for every event and you will finally save money.

All in all, the idea is that you have to think twice or more before you go shopping if you are on a budget. Sometimes looking expensive is such a task, but you can complete it and shine like a star!

We believe in you and your ability to be the creator and the stylist of yourself! Have a great day!

  2. Oh I love the tips! Updating accessories is such a great idea for looking in style for the moment. I am all about classic clothing styles so accessories are what I have most fun with. We have a Burlington Coat Factory in our city that I never walk out empty handed from. My husband has tons of luck there too! Since our wedding was super simple, we actually got our outfits there. :) Mine was a classic Calvin Klein B&W dress that I can wear again.
