Pretty As A Flower!

Stop and smell the roses! Let's paint the roses red! Sorry, everytime I see a rose, I think of Alice in Wonderland. HaHaHa I'm Offffff on a tangent again...

I thought this beauty editorial was pretty as a flower. Vibrant pinks, blues, oranges and purple seem to POP off the page.

Felix Lammers presents these gorgeous and colorful pics in February's 2012 issue of, Flair Austria. The model is Tosca Dekker. The makeup artist is Anne Caroline Ayot. Hair is by Gregory Everingham.  I love fresh flowers. :)

Speaking of purple and flowers, Laura of The Blog of Worldly Delights made me a BEAUTIFUL purple paperbag skirt. You guys, she is super talented! She has her own Etsy shop and sells all kinds of handmade goodies (scarves, pins, key chains, bows, etc. They're on SALE right now too!)! Back to the skirt! I admired a paperbag skirt she was wearing and she said she would make me one. I was overjoyed. I gave her my measurements, she sent it last week and it fit perfectly. She's not selling them right now, but Laura if you decide to I want one in candy apple red, sunshine yellow...ohhh the color possibilities are endless.HaHaHa

Y'all I NEVER EVER EVA EVAAAA do outfit posts!!! But for Laura I broke the rules (well kinda, there's half of me and I fricked up the lighting/focus in two pics...gimme a break hahaha). Let me give you the rundown on my top. It's a sweater I bought like 8 years ago and never wore (nothing truly complimented it). This is the funny part! Michael Simon is the designer (I think I got it from Nordstrom at the time) so I ran a search and there's a green one on Ebay! Just not my size and a lot cheaper! HAHAHAHA I thought about wearing all black on top, the purple skirt and black on bottom. Then ding ding I remembered this lavender sweater trimmed and sprinkled with crushed velvet flowers (which also goes along with today's post). It was a match made in heaven! SO Laura, THANK YOU for putting together a VERY cute new outfit for me. I feel pretty as a flower! You are truly exquisite when it comes to sewing and you're an awesome person. I also promise to iron it before I wear it out (sorry for the wrinkles)! HaHa Happy Wednesday Everyone! :)

  1. Only the roses were painted purple and blue instead of red here :P! The skirt really suits you, I love the colour and shape of it. You finally got something that went with your sweater too (which by the way, I love the detailing of the edges on it!) xo
