Orange Glad Sweet Box Subscription: August 2013

Hey Guys! I received my second box from Orange Glad! Woot!
Below are the goodies that were in this month's sweet box! If you would like detailed information about Orange Glad's subscription service, please read my blog post from last month. Orange Glad is NEW and available only in the US! I pay for this subscription box myself and all opinions below are 100% my own.

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)
not sweet(not good, don't buy this stuff)

Popcornopolis - Gourmet Popcorn  popcornopolis.com
Supersweet

Product: SUPERB!!! This popcorn is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY AWESOME! Yes, I am typing in all caps! HaHaHa As soon as you open the bag, you smell the caramel. The popcorn is FRESH and crunchy! The caramel is buttery! The chocolate that's drizzled on it tastes SUPERB! I can't stop raving about it. You can taste each and every layer. It's a delight to munch on.

Packaging: How CUTE is the packaging? I was very impressed with the cone packaging. I felt like I was at the circus or something. I'll definitely order more and so glad I was introduced to this company. Fabulous Job Popcornopolis! You thought of everything from beginning to end. I like that in a company! :)

Gianna's Homemade Baked Goods
Lemon Frosted Sugar Cookies - giannas.com
Supersweet

Product: These cookies melt in your mouth! They are so good! Great tasting sugar cookie. They're very fresh and buttery. The cookie is crisp, but again they just melt in your mouth. I loved the lemon topping! It's a great tasting lemon. Just the right tartness. This is a very good tasting cookie and I'm particular about cookies.

Packaging: These came in an open bag!?! There were crumbs everywhere in the Orange Glad box because of this. HaHaHa At first, I was worried about their freshness, but that just shows you how awesome these cookies are. It didn't effect them! The packaging was :( but the cookies definitely made up for it.

Hottie Biscotti - Pineapple Coconut Biscotti  hottiebiscotti.com
Sweet
Product: Very crunchy. Loved the shavings of coconut. This biscotti was very fresh. A hint of pineapple. A hint of white chocolate. It was a very nice tasting biscotti. These would be great with coffee, milk or tea!

Packaging: Really cute packaging! Loved that everything was enclosed. Really cute font on the packaging label. It kept everything in tact and fresh! Perfect!

I Live For Dessert - Chocolate Cake Bites  ilivefordessert.com
Not Sweet
Product: I Live For Dessert Too, but not THIS! What happened? I must've received a bad batch. I hope that's the case. They were DRYYYYY! Like they were sitting out in the desert dry. They were crumbly. The bottom looked burned. I didn't like these chocolate cake bites at all and I LOVE CHOCOLATE CAKE BITES. I sprinkled the powder chocolate on top, but that didn't help either! I didn't even eat the second one. If a representative from the company reads this, send me a replacement and I'll do a post on this. I can't imagine your products are really like this.

Packaging: These were in a sealed, foil pouch. So freshness shouldn't have been a factor! Cute little label.

The Crispery Crispy Cakes - Chocolate Sprinkles Crispycakes - thecrispery.com
Supersweet
Product: This is the MOTHER, GRANDAD, PAPA, OF ALL rice crispy treats! So AWESOME! It was HUGE! Several people could eat off of this marshmallow-y goodness! This crispycake was FRESH!!! FRESH!!! FRESH!!! The reason I'm emphasizing this, is because I've had some old, stale-tasting rice crispy treats in the past. Have you? Well not this one! The rice crispies are crunchy and fresh! The marshmallow was fresh, fluffy, tasty & gooey ooey! The chocolate sprinkles are a fabulous topper! If you love rice crispy treats you will ENJOY and LOVE this!

Packaging: Superb! You don't have to worry about this falling apart. There's a white cardboard that covers all sides and then it's wrapped. The crumbs on the packaging were from Gianna's cookies (open package)!

Oh, I almost forgot! They give you a free gift!
This month was a honey dipper :) So cool!

  4. Oh my god! How do you manage to test all these and not feel sick with sugar-overload afterwards?! :-)

Some of these look very good - yes, that popcorn is tempting - and I like that your reviews are so honest. If something isn't great, you say it. That's exactly what I'd expect from an honest review. I think you're doing a great job with these - and I won't touch the super-dry biscuits ;-) xo

  8. It looks as if this was generally a success. I think the lemon frosted sugar cookies would have been my favourites in the box - perfect with a cappuccino! A shame about the chocolate cake bites and this was their opportunity to impress you and get you hooked! A useful free gift included too.
