Day 4 - Milan Fashion Week S/S 2014

Day 4 in Milan was all about details! You guys know I love details :) I loved the draping, pleating and ruffle details of Bottega Venetta's collection. I wish I had that olive green jacket (last row) in my closet :) I also love the 1st two black dresses in the second row. I love the way they're mixing leather now. Ermanno Scervino adorned his designs with gorgeous embellishments. Click on the pictures to get a close-up. They're truly gorgeous. I'll take everything on the 3rd row. Loved them! I'm not a big Pucci person. The Pucci brand is known for prints. I just think it's excessive. However, I did like a couple of solid-color pieces. But gosh, that heavyweight boxing belt has to go. LOL Then you had the clean lines of Jil Sander, Cividini & Angelo Bratis. Finally, there was a touch of tribal from Gabriele Colangelo and Roberto Cavalli. Cavalli is pretty wild and I'm not usually a fan, but the colors used seemed to soften the fierceness. So these are my picks. Two more days :) I want to thank you guys for following me while I do this. Studying these collections helps me buy & pair things in my own closet, as well as learn about some new designers. These designers have definitely given me some great ideas and I can use these as reference. So thanks! I'll return back to normal posting soon.

P.S. Kim, any idea when the Downton Abbey is going to be going on sale at all? I keep looking every day, but they failed to give the exact date - so frustrating... x

  3. Agree, Cavalli is just divine. Disappointed with Pucci, they should keep rocking those psychedelic prints. Pucci looks a bit like 'everyone else'. I've enjoyed your Fashion Week diaries. Xxx

  6. Normally collections fashion shows leave me totally indifferent, my eye is only able to capture some details that I like, but that's it. Although you already know that I am something "special" for the likes of fashion. I'm glad that you enjoy with the proposals of the designers, dear friend. Have a wonderful weekend dear Kim.

  7. Hi Kim! You are doing a great job with these everyday round up, is really helpful cause I didnt always have the time to check out better the collections, so kudos to you (in my opinion you should deserve an invite to MFW next time!). Btw, I echo you, I also love details, they always make the difference, so Bottega Veneta is also my fav in this day 4. Im into a total-black-look time and the combo of it with leather is just to die for! Also I like Ermanno Scervino, very refined, and Jil Sander, edgy and minimal. Happy Sunday dear, big kisses! xo

  20. Dear Kim, I'm enjoying a lot this mini-series of posts, especially your unconventional review of each designer. I will write just a short recap of Milan runways and will refer my readers to your blog to check out this in-depth coverage. Really impressive my friend!

  22. As much as I like my neutrals, there are a few colours which have caught my eye here particularly the rich teal. I like the clean lines of Jil Sander too but overall here black really seems to be a dominant colour in these collections. Another great round-up, Kim! http://missbbobochic.blogspot.co.uk/

  26. Once again here I am biased.
This time it's Cavalli, i worked the fragrances too so
I feel like were are "related" (haha, right) and always favor this eccentric dude's design.

  27. I am obsessed with those coats and jackets too! lol. I'll buy them all even though I live in a tropical country. Hahaha.
