Whenever I see these statuesque lions overlooking Bayou Metairie, I think about the cowardly lion in the movie The Wizard of Oz HaHaHa....If I ...Were King... of the Forest!!! Not Duke. Not Prince. Not Earl. HaHaHa So Sorry. Had a moment. HaHaHa I love that song. >.<
This is the peristyle in City Park. It has a Grecian-style, open-air, pavillion design. The chandelier in the middle, is even prettier at night (when lit up). Everything about a peristyle is so regal! You feel like dancing, twirling and curtseying. HaHaHa I thought my JCrew Chandelier Sweater and Miu Miu Crystal Loafers would be befitting for this venue (with all the stone & grey). I toned my outfit down by wearing jeans and a white button-down shirt. I was very comfy.
jcrew chandelier sweater (sold out, but sold on ebay) / miu miu crystal loafers (sold out, maybe on ebay sim, sim)
dior cherie bow collection (blush) and dior rose tulipe (lipstick) / old navy shirt & jeans
What are the lions looking at? Bayou Metairie. Bayou's are very common in Louisiana. They're home to a lot of wildlife. This one has ducks and swans in it. Some of the ducks didn't seem to want to get along (as captured in my gif below). HaHaHa So much for PEACE in paradise! HaHaHa
Well, your personal tour has concluded! Comments are happily accepted & appreciated. HaHaHa Please come again. Watch your step! HaHaHa I promise to show you more of City Park (we also have an Audubon Park & Zoo that I'll be covering). There are SO many wonderful things to do in City Park that I haven't covered yet (sculpture garden, carousel gardens, museum and mini-putt putt golf to name a few). I always pick my times, because in the Summer it's too hot... plus all the kids are out for Summer Vacation. HaHaHa I'll try and cover the Sculpture Garden next for you :) Have a great week everybody! PEACE!
I went back to take a gif of the peristyle, but they had removed the chandelier for cleaning :(

Why are all the beautiful parks not found in my homeland? I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. Totally no pun intended.
