Tarte Young, Wild & Free Palette Review & Swatches

There's a lot to LOVE about Tarte's NEW Young, Wild & Free Palette! It's easy to carry around, because it's slightly larger than a business card case. You're given 8 beautiful eye-shadows: 2 mattes, 4 metallics, a highlighter & liner shade. It also has a generous-sized mirror so you can apply your eye shadow. The palette (eye shadows) smell like chocolate! Yummm! There's also a positive message on the front! "Throw kindness around like confetti", with bits of pink confetti gracing the front of the case. I think for kicks & giggles, they should make a "Throw shade" Palette ;) to pair with this one. LOL The only thing missing from this palette is maybe a little eye shadow applicator brush or holder where you can place one. It's an excellent palette for anyone that love nudes & neutral shades. What distinguishes it from other mini-palettes is that they give you a highlighter & liner shade. I found the pigmentation to be awesome and these shadows really have staying power. Swatch this the next time you're at ULTA, to see if this is for you. I thought this was similar to my Bobbi Brown Bellini Mini Lip & Eye Palette, but they're not even close (THANK GOD). It's Time For Another Sweet Surprise! Today's Sweet Surprise goes to Rowena of Rolala Loves Blog. I've known Rowena via blogging for MANY years. I have the utmost respect & admiration for her, both as a blogger & person. Her numerous skills constantly amaze me. She's a superb photographer! She has an eye for capturing things! It could be a moment, place, person, food, object, a flower, beauty products etc. Whatever IT is, she captures it OH SO BEAUTIFULLY. Her pictures speak to you! Their simplicity IS their grandeur. Rowena has taught me a lot about Asian culture & customs, food, movies & celebrities. I always learn so much from her posts! She's written several posts for my blog in the past, featuring these topics. I've been consumed with my house, so I haven't had much time to focus on anything extra, but I would love to revisit those topics in the future. Another thing that I admire about Rowena, is her writing skills. She's a beautiful writer! Very eloquent! Rowena, you should write a book! You're that good! You could be an author! Bottom line, I have TOTAL admiration & respect for you Rowena. I mean that. You have remained constant & consistent through the years and I thank you. I can't think of a more well-rounded & gifted person than you. I admire your personal style, your thoughts, suggestions in beauty, personality, your character and all the gifts you possess.
