Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette $42 - Supersweet
I really love this palette! It contains (L-R) a highlighter, blush and contour shade. All of the shades make for a soft & pretty look. They really blend well together and this palette will be great leading into Spring & Summer. It's light. It's fresh. The only problem I have is that the contour shade will not work for darker skin tones. I feel Too Faced should've added two contour shades to this palette (one for lighter & darker skin tones). Many understandably felt left out because of this. Even for me, the contour shade is light ... but I can get away with it. I think all three look pretty on me.
I'm wearing the contour (perimeter of my face & nose), highlight (nose, cheeks & cupids bow) & blush (cheeks) in all three pictures below. I'm also wearing Papa Don't Peach lip gloss.
Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Blush $30 - Sweet
Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Blush was brought back from the ARCHIVES! I didn't know that until I read the products description. It's a bronzy (to me shimmering) peach blush, that can be used on the apples of the cheeks. I use to avoid shimmering blushes like the plague, because anything shimmery will highlight an area. And if you have (like I use to) acne or blemishes on your cheeks ... you don't want to add shimmer LOL My skin is much better now and I like this effect. I think the only other shimmering blush I have is Love Lust by Tom Ford. I'm more comfortable with the blush above, but this created a nice healthy peachy glow. I'm wearing Poppin Peach on my lips.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss $19 in
(L-R) Papa Don't Peach, Peach Tease and Poppin Peach - Sweet
Lip Gloss! Let's get to the nitty-gritty! The formula for this lip gloss is superb! It has a different feel from any lip gloss I've ever tried. It's lightweight. It's creamy. It's hardly sticky. The colors proved to be very soft & wearable on me, but I have to warn you ... these lip glosses look different on everyone! On some they look horrid and others very nice. Out of the 8 offered, I felt only these would work for me. So swatch them in store. I love the peach candy scent. I'm kind of not liking the little faces on the peaches. LOL I love the peach, but just not the faces. Many have complained that Too Faced is getting a little childish with their packaging. I love cute, but not kiddie. LOL So I have to agree.
Omg how darling! I am seriously loving thes peach tones, especially on you. Such a lovely palette but I can see how it would ruffle some feathers. Th contour is pretty light indeed.

The lip gloss is a lovely shade and I loveeee the palette shades on you. Your skin glows with these peachy shades!
ReplyDeleteI've been really interested in this collection - perhaps more so than other Too Faced releases, which do seem a bit childish but more importantly, too novelty focused, to me. With that said, I have so many Too Faced palettes from which I only use a few shades, so for now, despite all of the good things I'm seeing in reviews, I'm forcing myself to stay away. But that may not last...!

The face palette looks really pretty but from the collection, the eyeshadow palette appeals most to me! I did smell it in Sephora and wasn't obsessed with the smell but I still think the palette looks really nice overall! I definitely agree about two shades. Or they should've made a lighter and darker version...

The concept and peach theme of this collection is cute but I agree with you that the faces are a bit much and makes the collection look too juvenile. That said, the Peach Glow Highlighting Palette looks amazing both in the package and on you Kim. The colors do really work well with your complexion :)
ReplyDeleteThese sold out within minutes of the launch here in Canada. LOL! I have seen some reviews that complained about the lack of pigmentation but I don't see that being a problem with yours, Kim.

These tones are so fresh and pretty on you Kim!
ReplyDeleteThe highlight/contour kit is so pretty that's a bummer the contour shade is too light. They should make two palette options so everyone is able to buy a palette for this skin. I love that blush and actually have it in one of the older Too Faced Holiday Palettes. The lipglosses interest me but like you I wouldn't wear alot of the colors. Papa Don't Peach is my favorite on you!
ReplyDeleteThe peachy shades do give you a lovely glow, and the lip glosses are quite pretty. I think the happy peaches are cute, haha.

Ohhh! The cuteness of the collection is making me fall in love and want to go shopping. Also, all of the lipstick shades suit you so well!

I'm glad you like this collection, Kim! Everything looks beautiful on you. I love the way the papa don't peach blush looks, and the face palette is gorgeous! They definitely should have included a bronzer that suited more skin tones. And those lip glosses are all pretty colors!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun collection Kim, and peach looks lovely on you!
ReplyDeleteThat is a really ncie blush, and the popping peach gloss is just perfect, what a nice shade! :)
Hope you are having a lovely start to the week :)

Oooh I'm so glad you've reviewed everything else in the range! I've got the palette but it's the other products I'm curious about! I definitely agree with you on the Highlighting Palette, it looks so beautiful though I'm not sure how the contour shade would work for other people!
ReplyDeleteMusings & More
I didn't know that they have made it permanent ^.^ I am so glad cause then I don't have to be in the rush to buy the eyeshadow palette now. I have placed an order over the weekend and bought the Papa blush, I also wanted the highlighting palette but it's sold out for ages now >.<

ReplyDeleteNot gonna lie, Kim....I think those faces are very cute...heehee....but then again, I'm very juvenile:D Anyhoo, thank you so much for this. I've wanted to try the Sweet Peach eye palette but the Sephora by me was sold out every time I went there. So good to hear it's a permanent now. I'll check out the rest too. The highlighting palette sounds fab...well, they all do:D
ReplyDeleteThat name reminded me of a Madonna song! The collection is very nice and the colors look great Kim, Too faced always has some packages that fall in love. Kisses!

The Peach collection is a total winner in my eyes. That blush and highlight glow palette is EVERYTHING!! Hopefully I can go back to the Middle East to purchase it. You look beautiful in this post Kim. Peach really suites you. XXX
ReplyDeleteTo me this packaging looks perfect, but I'm such a kid sometimes:)
ReplyDeleteyou look very pretty on all these pics, seems like this palette and all these two faced products really suit you.
This is such a beautiful collection and indeed perfect for both spring and summer, especially that Papa Don't Peach gloss, LOVE!!!! You know, I still don't understand why we're discussing an unfair color selection/gap in makeup. At this point, EVERY makeup brand should have a vast selection of foundation/contour colors, including those for WOC. It's quite ridiculous and I don't understand why it's not a talked about issue. We've seemed to be changing and incorporating more sizes in women's clothing, yet this is still neglected. Sorry for my rant, Kim, haha, but any company should feel horrible that their customers don't feel they're fairly represented. Thanks for sharing this collection with us, I think I may just check out the glosses!!!

I think Too Faced were very clever dedicating a whole collection to peach shades. Peach hues make you look younger and glowing with health. The lipstick is a beautiful shade, more similar to coral red than peach though. I would say this time Too Faced nailed it :-) love
ReplyDeleteWho'd think you could expand the peach color so much ! I really like the idea.
ReplyDeletePeach tones are pretty hard to pull off. I think they can potentially look like orange and I don't look good in orange. Lol!

I love the shades! I have stopped wearing lipstick because of my braces (I just look too funny with metal teeth and lipstick for some reason). I cannot wait to take them off to try different shades. I always was afraid to go the orangey/peachy shades but love these!
