MAC Liptensity Lipstick in Smoked Almond & Toast and Butter

When I purchased the MAC Taraji P. Henson Collection, a few days later MAC sent me an email. They stated they had mislabeled the products in the collection and gave me $25 to use on a future MAC purchase. I decided to use the $25 towards their new MAC Liptensity lipsticks ($21). The MAC description of these lipsticks are most definitely accurate: extreme colour, highly pigmented and satin finish. I am very impressed with the two shades I purchased. The lipstick is super creamy! It's moisturizing to the lips! They have great color payoff! The tube color (packaging) matches the color of the actual lipstick. Plus, there are 24 shades to choose from. I love both of the colors I purchased! I also want to get Cordovan as shown on GlamTrashMakeup. I love her Snapchat stories and Instagram account! Makeup companies send her lots of makeup to review. I included her swatches below.

  1. Oh, Cordovan looks really amazing. Just my kind of color, even though I would probably get more use out of Smoked Almond.

  7. I love the creamy texture of MAC lipsticks and I always really love the packaging, so I'm a bit disappointed that they changed it when they debuted liptensity. Still, I've heard great things about the line and I have to say, the colours do look fabulous on you!

  10. Such gorgeous colours! I recently picked up Doe, but I also had my eyes on these two. Smoked Almond is a bit more wearable I reckon due to the pinkness of it :) x

  15. I have one liptensity and I love the formula although the color I wanted was sold out when I went so I haven't really worn the coral-pink shade I bought. I hope that come summer, I'll pull it out more!

  16. Both colors look lovely on you! The formula sounds absolutely amazing-- sort of like the bite amuse bouche lipsticks. I've never heard of glamtashmakeup before but her swatches look legit! I'm going to go check out her insta. Thanks for the rec :)

  18. Yes please.... to creamy lipsticks! It is good that you were able to find MAC products you liked instead of that one that wasn't available anymore. These lipsticks do look superb. YAAY for satin finish.

Smoked almond is such a pretty shade and I actually really like the name. I'm a big fan of almonds. I was just telling my husband how hard it is to find good almonds these days. Have you ever tried almond milk? I just adore it. Ok, now I'm straying from topic ha ha ha. Toast and Butter also looks great on you. Generally speaking, I like brown toned lipsticks, they make me think of chocolate....and cinnamon. I love cinnamon. This lipstick has such a nice warm earthly vibe going on.

Cordowan looks so nice on that swatch from glamtrashmakeup. Nothing beats a nice red lip, right! Don't forget to show us a swatch if you decide to get this shade. I think it would look great on you as well.

  26. These shades are absolutely beautiful! They certainly look creamy and hydrating. As mentioned in today's post, I've been having issues with not really being able to wear many lipsticks because of my chapped lips, I'm curious how these would look!? The colors look gorgeous on you, my friend, thanks so much for sharing and have a great weekend!
