REN V-Cense Revitalising Night Cream ($57) - Supersweet
Before I started using REN night cream, I was using Aveeno's Ultra Calming Nourishing Night Cream. The Aveeno night cream is excellent, but the REN night cream gives me a little more. The Aveeno made my skin very soft by the time I woke up in the morning. But the REN does two things! It softens my skin and it provides MORE MOISTURE! The REN night cream is formulated to hydrate the skin overnight, even out skin tone, and smooth fine lines. I feel it does everything it says. It's creamy. It's lightweight. You don't feel overpowered with cream on your face at night. There's no scent. It absorbs quickly. It just feels really good to the skin and you wake up with nourished skin.REN Instant Firming Beauty Shot ($56) - Supersweet
This is absolutely amazing! It is literally a face-lift in a bottle! If you want your skin to be taut, tight & firm, you gotta get this. It's best to dispense a drop in one area of your face (ex. forehead) and then work it into the skin going UPWARDS. Do that for every section of your face. You will then feel as if a vacuum is sucking your skin UP & back! The skin on my nose looked so tight! When REN says it will give you the perfect canvas to apply makeup, they are not kidding. It's a liquid. It's considered a serum. It is sticky. Give it about 15-30 minutes and you will see the difference. The only thing with this, is that the results are temporary. For me, the effects lasted about 6 hours. But I was very impressed with the results. But just get ready for that super "sucking" effect! HaHaHaREN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask ($55) - Supersweet
(THIS IS NOT FOR ANYONE WITH SENSITIVE SKIN)
REN Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturizing Cream ($39) - Bittersweet
Well, they can't all be perfect! I REALLY love REN's Ultra Moisture Day Cream. It provides moisture without conflicting with my makeup application. It's lightweight. It absorbs quickly. So I was curious about their Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturizing Cream. It's the exact opposite! It's SO HEAVY you guys! To me it's like a night cream! It's thick. You really have to work it into the skin for it to absorb. I have a problem wearing this and makeup. It's just too much. I'm using the remainder as a night cream. It's suppose to give your skin vital nutrients, moisture and antioxidants. I didn't see a difference with my skin using this. Again, buy the Ultra Moisture Day Cream ($57). It's much, much better! You will feel & see the difference.
REN has a multitude of products! So I know I will try more products in the future. I will definitely review them for you, as I test them out. I love the fact that they're considered clean skincare: NO parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance or colors, TEA, DEA, glycols, silicones, PEGS. BUT REALIZE, MOST REN SKINCARE PRODUCTS ARE ONLY GOOD FOR 9 MOS AFTER OPENING THEM! Hope you're having an amazing weekend!
OOoo.. I love anything orange! I would try the mask since your mom highly recommended it.
ReplyDeleteMy skin is combination, so naturally I gravitate t other products, but REN is among my favorites. The t-zone balancing gel cream and the Radiance Renewal Mask (completely agree with your mom) are great stuff!

I haven't tried their line because my sensitive skin can't take fragrant oils and rose water. Glad they work for you!
ReplyDeleteKim, this brand has been moving up my try list ever since you first talked about it. It's true that a good skincare routine can really do wonders for our skin and it sounds like you found a great system for yours. It's wonder you wanted to try more of their products since you've had such a positive experience. And this brands price points are pretty moderate too. I'm so curious about how the Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask compares with the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, REN is brilliant. I know what you mean about the beauty shot, it's amazing!! I felt so much more plumped after using it. Shame the results are temporary though. I also have the radiance serum which I really like and the t-zone balancing cream is good too.

Rent is an excellent brand. I'm glad it helped improve your skin.
ReplyDeleteOoo! You just made my Sephora list longer, Kim! I love the Glycol Lactic mask, it's one of my favourites to use and now I have the night cream and the Timing Beauty Shot in my list to buy!
ReplyDeleteREN is great! :) I'd love to try out that moisturizing cream

I have never tried anything from this brand but my goodness all these products sound amazing. I especially love that they are clean products as well. I know that revitalizing night cream would deff be something I would love and use. And the mask sounds great too. Sounds like you can't really go wrong with any of these products!
ReplyDeleteIt's good you could pass the mask along, although a shame it's not ideal for your skin type after you had such good results with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still not 100% there with skincare that's as good for my skin as I'd like. I feel whenever I hit on something that works the seasons change and my skin changes. Hopefully now pregnancy is behind me I can keep fine-tuning my skincare until I have a routine I'm as happy with as you are! :)
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! :)

I've loved learning about REN from you, Kim! Since everyone's skincare needs are so different, having products that really work for YOU is so essential. Personally, I think I might actually want to invest in the Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturizing Cream because it gets so cold where we live in the winter that keeping moisture in your skin is next to impossible. So even though it didn't work for you, I'm glad you reviewed it and shared your thoughts, I'm sure there are other people it might work for, too!

The Radiance Renewal Mask sounds really appealing, especially as I'm trying to up my 'mask game' right now, haha. Thanks for this fab review Kim, everyone seems to adore REN products. I've only tried one or two skincare products by the brand, but have been super impressed both times.

"Face lift in a bottle"...am sold, Kim! That product sounds freaking amazing. Have never tried Ren but that would probably change soon:D Thanks for this, Kim. And yeah....I have super sensitive acne-prone skin so so far, anything I've tried with glycolic acid makes me break out....sigh....
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend so far:) XOXO
These products sound amazing! I wish they were more affordable. An excellent night creme and eye creme are my musts. Waking up with soft, hydrated skin makes a world of difference when I apply makeup!
ReplyDeleteI saw some Ren products at my local pharmecy. You always give them such great reviews Kim, I should really give them a try. It's so great when you find products that work well on your skin. It is an awesome feeling! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI have the instant firming beauty shot and LOVE it!

You have me so interested in this brand now! Everything sounds great. Sorry the moisturizer didn't work well for you. The rest were a hit! I would love to try that mask!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any ren but I know how much you love this brand! Everything sounds nice! I'd totally use the day cream as a night cream if it was too heavy and thick for daytime lol! And that's so nice to hear that they are a clean brand! I'm all for that!
ReplyDeleteWhile I have not tried REN, its mostly a hit ! Right now I am in between products but have found a fabulous serum from Cicamed , have you tried that brand ?
