8 Steps That Lead to a Healthy Lifestyle

2. Exercise More

Make sure you visit your doctor regularly for checkups. Several illnesses and diseases can be treated very successfully if the symptoms are noticed early enough. 8. Surround Yourself with Friends

6 Activities To Do With The Whole Family This Weekend

It’s not always easy to think of things that will keep everyone entertained over the weekend, the little ones might get tired being dragged around museums and theme parks and then older ones might get bored if you just stick to soft play and the local park. So, what can you do to make the most of both worlds?

Well, here you’ll find some super simple ideas that will keep everyone busy this weekend – and it’ll keep your bank account happy too!


Get Stuck Into Something Arty
Everyone loves a bit of make and do, even us grownups! You could start with something really basic like printing off some online colouring pages – see the range of inks from printerinks here – or you could head out and restock that arts and crafts box with everything they’ll need to create and build from their imagination. Paper, coloured card, felt, stickers, poster paints, washi tape, glue, pom poms, string, googly eyes, glitter – and anything else you can think of. Let The Kids Make A Photo Album
If you’ve refilled your printer, why not let the kids run wild by taking photographs on your phone, printing them off and then sticking them into an album. They can write captions with the photos or even create a story. Or if there are some nice family pictures stored on your device, they could print those off too and decorate a wall space in their bedroom.

Bike Ride
Bikes, scooters, trikes – whatever means of transport your little ones have, make the most of it during the sunny weather and head off on a bike ride. Plan ahead and find a route that is car free and quite flat (especially if you have smaller ones), you could end the trip with a lovely picnic at a beauty spot. A Home Spa
Girls, boys, mum, or dad – there’s no reason why everyone can’t get involved in this one! They could give you a little face massage and apply some makeup (if you’re feeling brave) and you could take it in turns styling each other’s hair. Sorry dad! You’ll have to grin and bear this one!

Garden Camping
Spring is well and truly here so why not make the most of the warmer weather? Set up a tent in the back garden and treat the kids to hot chocolates and a bit of star gazing. It might be a little too cool to sleep out there, but when you come inside you can treat everyone to a nice hot meal instead.

Movie Night/Afternoon
Who doesn’t love a movie night? Get lots of bean bags, cushions, pillows and throws and make an evening of it. Don’t forget the popcorn!

How to Respect The Older Generations

Youth is considered one of the most precious assets you can have, but your time as a young person is fleeting, and the journey into old age inevitable. Every person (in fact, everything on earth) was young once, and all have grown older. The biggest mistake younger generations can make is to fail to recognize the value of the older generations and not afford them the respect they deserve because they have so much knowledge, experience, and wisdom to impart.


The older generations you’re most likely to be in regular contact with are your own family members; grandparents, plus great-grandparents or your own parents, depending on your age and how old your folks were when you were born. 5 Family Activities To Enjoy In The Spring

With the festive season already a distant memory, and with the seemingly endless month of January finally behind us, we can all start looking forward to Spring. Warm rays of sunshine, lighter mornings and glorious sunsets. Not forgetting little lambs, beautiful flowers and everything coming back to life! We’ll also get the chance to get out and about with the kids without them complaining they’re cold and tired! So, with that in mind, I’ve come up with 5 family activities you can put on your to-do list and enjoy together this Spring. Have fun!


Get Out In The Garden
You probably haven’t given much thought to your outdoor space since the Autumn. But now things are starting to come back to life – why not make the most of it and get out there? There will be lots of little jobs to do, whether that’s clearing all the debris, leaves and mess that winter leaves behind, or planning where you’re going to plant some new flowerbeds or even planting a new tree – check out The Tree Centre for all you need to know about introducing trees and shrubs to your garden. Raking, diggings, clearing, planting, cutting and pruning there’s lots to keep you all busy – the kids can even plant some spring flowers and watch them grow!

Go On A Picnic
As the weather gets warmer, you can spend an afternoon at your favourite spot and enjoy a picnic together. It doesn’t have to be a grand affair; you can put together a picnic in no time. Sandwiches, crisps, veggie sticks, fruit, something sweet and a drink. You might want to bring a flask, just in case the temperature drops a little! Give Nature A Helping Hand

Feed The Ducks
Who doesn’t love feeding the ducks? Now that ducks will be heading back to the UK after spending the winter in sunnier climes, they’ll be plenty of hungry ones around. So, go out for an hour and spoil them. Remember to avoid feeding them bread and opt for things like oats, seeds, even sweetcorn! Take plenty of pictures!
