Kerstin Florian Skincare Review and Swatches

Have you heard of Kerstin Florian skincare? I knew NOTHING about the brand, until I collaborated with Skinstore last year. Skinstore asked me to post about women & everyday confidence and they also sent me some products. Well Kerstin Florian skincare is very HIGH END (luxury skincare company) that can be found in professional spas. Their products can be found at Nordstrom, Skinstore, SkincareRx, just to name a few! I've had a chance to try their products, and below are my thoughts.

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)
  Kerstin Florian Skincare is Sweet

Kerstin Florian Clarifying Exfoliating Scrub ($50)

I love this exfoliating scrub! It has jojoba seeds (buff away dead skin cells), lactic acid (cell turnover & surface debris), sweet almond oil (nourish skin), chamomile  extract (calm inflammation), geranium (clarity & balance). This scrub is creamy and has just the right amount of exfoliants to get the job. I dislike harsh scrubs and this did not irritate my dry/sensitive skin. My skin felt both clean and soft after using this product. The only thing I didn't particularly care for was the scent. It's floral. I'm not a big fan of scented skincare products. But that didn't stop it's effectiveness.

Kerstin Florian Complete Daily Cleanser ($50)

This cleanser was cool. It was opal. Very creamy. It did have a medicine scent. It cleansed my face well and removed everything. It has witch hazel (antiseptic, reduce pore size properties), chamomile (calming properties), algae & aloe vera (calm, hydrate & balance skin), tocopheryl acetate (protection from free radicals - antioxidant vitamin e). I think this cleanser would be better suited for normal, combination and oily skin types. I was looking at their website and their Rehydrating Neroli Cleansing Milk would be better suited for Sensitive & Dry Skin. But while using this, I DID NOT experience any redness, dry patches or negative effects. I just had to follow up with a moisturizer.

Kerstin Florian Refining Toner ($45)

This toner is very refreshing! There's an opening at the top where you have to shake the product out. I wish it was more of a spray. This has a light floral scent. The job of this toner is to lift away impurities, excess oil and dulling cells with hydroxy acids. It has salicylic acid, phytic acid, witch hazel, oleanic acid, olive leaf extract boerhavia diffusa root extract and niacinamide. I think this would be better for Normal & Combination Skin Types. They have a Clarifying Oil Control Toner for Oily Skin Types and a Rejuvenating Thermal Tonic which I think would be great for Dry Skin Types like myself. I didn't have any problems while using this particular toner! It was refreshing to my skin.

Kerstin Florian Neroli Water ($35)

It definitely delivers on what it claims! REFRESH, OXYGENATE and HYDRATE! This sprays as a MIST! So I love that :) It dries down nicely and your skin feels everything above. The ingredients for this is Bitter Orange Flower Water. It has a distinct floral scent. That's the only thing I don't care for. But it's effectiveness is fab.

Kerstin Florian BerryPlus Repair Serum ($84)

I love this serum because it's NOT STICKY, lightweight, sinks into the skin and leaves it feeling refreshed & soft. The ingredients for this serum are raspberry cell culture (antioxidant, anti-flammatory, cell regeneration), larch extract (attracts & binds moisture to the skin), and goji, camu camu & australian wild berry extracts (supports the skin cellular matrix & protection from free radicals and sun damage). This is an excellent serum for the skin. You immediately see & feel the difference in your skin after using this. The scent for this reminded me of wild berries.

Kerstin Florian Liposome Day Creme ($55)

MOISTURIZER! This moisturizer would work really good for Normal, Combination and Oily skin types. It's creamy, white and lightweight! But it didn't provide enough moisture for me. I have dry/sensitive skin, so I think the Kerstin Florian Rejuvenating 24 hour moisture creme would be more beneficial to my skin. The ingredients for this moisturizer is Vitamin E (moisture, protectant), Horse Chestnut Seed Extract (soothe inflammation, strengthen capillary walls, help skin tone & texture), Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Panax Ginseng, Sweet Broom & Elderberry Extracts (offer superior anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to improve skin function and appearance). This creme has a woody scent.

Final Thoughts: Kerstin Florian is an EXCELLENT skincare line. None of the products affected me negatively. My skin looked great. It's just a matter of using the right products for your skin type (they do offer try me kits). The turn-off for me, was the fragrant scent in some of their products. I wish those were left out. I'm not sure if the fragrances are natural because of the ingredients (if so maybe there is nothing they can do about it). My skin stayed clear the entire time while using these products. I had one break out before I started using this skincare line and none of these products got rid of it. But I did notice they do have blemish & acne products. So that would probably solve that! Hope this review helps :)

  5. This is the first I have heard of the brand too. High end and expensive do not go well with my wallet but these products sound lovely!

  6. This line sounds fabulous but I have to admit, I do think I would be turned off by the scent like you were, Kim. I'm just not a fan of floral scents and I think they can sometimes really spoil an otherwise great product, which is a shame.

  7. As I adore floral-scents (especially when it comes to skincare/bathing products!), the exfoliating scrub sounds lovely!

  12. I've heard of this brand in passing but really knew nothing about them. Thanks for the introduction Kim. Everything you tried sounds nice especially the serum but the strong fragrance sounds a little off putting. If I had my way all my facial products would be unscented.

  14. I have never heard of this brand before but I am glad to have heard about them now! When you try a bunch of new products and do not have any adverse reactions that says a lot about the line and their ingredients. And I really like their clean and simple packaging concept as well. XO

  19. I've never heard of this brand before either! Based on your review, it seems to be one to consider. I love that you explained what each ingredient does for the skin for someone like me who isn't so beauty literate when it comes to all of that, lol! I hope you have a great weekend ahead, my friend!

  22. I am not familiar with this brand at all but the serum sounds fabulous, Kim. I tried commenting on your previous post on Maybelline Instant Age Rewind but the comment section has been close so I have to leave it here. I actually love that concealer and have repurchased it a few times, that said, when I am tan in Summer, it does turn ashy on me too so I reach for FitMe instead.
