Pixi Beauty Multibalm in Baby Petal, Nourishing Lip Polish, Quick Fix Powder Review and Swatches

Sponsored: Hey Everybody! I received some Summer Makeup Essential products from Pixi Beauty to review. I've already reviewed their Makeup Fixing Mist, so let me share my thoughts on these products.

Pixi Beauty MULTIBALM in Baby Petal ($12) - Sweet

Pixi's Multibalm can be used on both lips and cheeks. This multibalm comes in 5 shades: Baby Petal, Sheer Sculp, Soft Strawberry, Watermelon Veil and Wild Rose. I received Baby Petal and love it. It's a very soft and natural flush, that gives a great wash of color on the cheeks. It's perfect for everyday. I didn't care for this on my lips. The color made my lips look ashy. I think more people will get better use out of it on their cheeks. Since it didn't work on my lips, I paired it with their Pixi by Petra Gel Tint and Silk Gloss in Berry Tint & Sweet Gloss. It worked out perfectly and they look great together. All in all, their multibalm is lightweight and perfect for Summer. I extended the tube (it twists up) to it's fullest (bottom middle picture) to show you how much product you receive.

Pixi Beauty NOURISHING LIP POLISH with Apricot and Grapefruit Oils ($12) - Not Sweet

Pixi's nourishing lip polish has me a little confused. The exfoliating applicator has little ridges to exfoliate your lips and within the tube is a thick liquid gel. The directions say 1. Buff gently onto lips with applicator 2. Leave on for a healing soothing treatment. Well, when I EXFOLIATE my lips (usually with a lip scrub), I exfoliate and then WASH THE PRODUCT AWAY. This product is more of a lip moisturizer! This stuff sticks to the lips and you don't wash it away! You really need to remove it with a face cloth, because if you remove it by hand that stickiness will get on your hands. Think petroleum jelly! The little ridges will exfoliate your lips, but you're suppose to leave the product on >.< Who wants to leave exfoliated dead skin on their lips? As far as moisturizing? I didn't see or feel a difference. Petroleum jelly in my opinion would do a better job or your favorite lip balm.

Pixi Beauty QUICK FIX POWDER ($20) - Bittersweet

Translucent powder. I've had both good and bad results with translucent powder (more leaning towards bad). This powder is for quick touch-ups! It promises to set makeup, the color is suppose to be suitable for all and its suppose to blur imperfections. Let's talk about those first! This powder is not suitable for medium to darker skin-tones. I show you a before & after picture of my hand below and it totally changed the color of my hand (white & ashy). So this is for lighter skin tones. Because of that it highlighted my imperfections. Will it set makeup? Yes, but this is for lighter skin tones. I would love to see this powder made in at least a brown or dark brown or since it's translucent more finely milled. I use Laura Mercier translucent powder and I don't have a problem with it. Let me discuss the packaging. There are 3 parts to it: a mirror, a sponge, and compartment that holds the powder. You can take these apart! Because you will have to clean the sponge! The sponge pops out as shown below. I think it's a REALLY cute concept! But it just doesn't work for all skin tones.

Murad Skincare Rejuvenating Lift For Neck & Decollete, Intensive Wrinkle Reducer For Eyes and Intensive Age Diffusing Serum Review

Sponsored: Hey guys! I'm finally ready to give my opinion on the last three (3) products Murad sent me. I've been testing these for about a year. I want to thank Dale of Savvy Spice for recommending my blog to Murad Skincare and of course Murad for being so generous in sending me so many products throughout this two (2) year period (since 2015). Also, for allowing me to give my honest opinion on all products reviewed. You can read all of my MURAD skincare reviews here.

Murad Rejuvenating Lift For Neck & Decollete ($58) - Supersweet

I REALLY like this neck & decollete cream. I wouldn't even call it a cream. The consistency is more like a lite yogurt, but without the stickiness. It's very hydrating and moisturizing. You can really feel it going into your skin. It will also give your skin a very nice glow. My neck and chest area looked a lot more hydrated, moisturized and firm while using this. This cream has Retinyl Palmitate and Brazilian Fruit Extracts that promote collagen production and plump up the skin. It has Bearberry and Licorice Root Extracts to brighten the skin, even out skin tone, and reduce the appearance of age spots and discoloration. It also has Phytoestrogens which help in improving elasticity and delivering essential moisture. I would definitely repurchase this.

Intensive Wrinkle Reducer For Eyes ($95) - Bittersweet

This eye cream felt very moisturizing to my eyes. When I applied it to my under eye area my skin felt refreshed. It felt great, but the problem I had was that I never saw a difference in my under-eyes while using this product. Lines were still there. The area didn't seem plumper. This has hyaluronic microspheres that are suppose to decrease wrinkle depth, but again my lines stayed the same. Also, this comes in a REALLY BIG BOX! The actual product is tiny! C'mon Murad, that box is way too big!

Intensive Age Diffusing Serum ($75) - Bittersweet

What I like about this serum, is that it feels like a moisturizer. Most serums are sticky and this is not. It feels hydrating to the skin, but it's not enough for my dry skin (maybe for normal, combination and oily skin types). It's suppose to reduce the appearance of medium to deep wrinkles and combat age related dehydration. I just never saw that happen with my skin. I'm much more impressed with the Mad Hippie Vitamin A Serum and Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum.

Lavanila Healthy Body Butter Vanilla Coconut Review

Sponsored: Hey Everybody! Yesterday, I reviewed products from Lalicious! Today I'd like to talk about a company called Lavanila! I was sent their Healthy Body Butter in Vanilla Coconut ($19). I've been eyeing this body butter on Sephora's website for awhile. This body butter is white, whipped & super creamy! It feels really good when you work it into your skin. It feels very moisturizing. You have to work it in fast, because it dries FAST. After you work it in, it leaves a little waxy feeling stick (I'm not going to lie, I was a little worried), but then after 1-2 minutes it's gone (honestly). Your skin should have a really nice glow. There's nothing heavy, greasy or oily about this body butter. The Vanilla Coconut scent is very light, so it won't conflict with any perfume you're wearing. Also, a little goes a long way. The amount shown on my hand below will moisturize both your hand and your entire arm. This body butter (I never thought I would say this about BODY BUTTER), will work great YEAR ROUND! It's not too heavy for Summer! Who is/isn't this for? If you sweat a lot or oily, I would skip this. Everyone else should be good. This may not be enough for anyone with SUPER DRY SKIN. I see this as an everyday, keep this in your desk drawer lotion! Honestly this large tube should last you 6-12 mos. I liked the vanilla coconut scent I received. Nothing earth shattering. I've had better vanilla coconut scents, but this body butter felt really good to my skin and my skin felt soft after using it. I looked at some reviews on Sephora's website and I think the biggest issue with these body butters were the scents. I haven't tried any of the others, so I wouldn't know. But if you can test out the scents at the store before purchasing, I would do so. A little background. Lavanila is an all natural ingredient and organic skincare beauty company out of California. They don't use petrochemicals, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oils, silicone, synthetic dyes, sulfates or parabens. I don't have a lot of experience with natural products, but the few I have tried "behave differently" than your non-natural products. They don't have the strongest scents. The shelf life is not as long. They may be richer or apply differently. So you have to give them a chance. Have you tried anything from Lavanila?

Lalicious Sugar Coconut Nourishing Lip Butter and Extraordinary Whipped Sugar Scrub Review

Hey Everybody! I tried Lalicious Sugar Kiss Hydrating Body Butter in 2016. I was impressed with its formula and loved its cotton candy scent. So I definitely wanted to try more of Lalicious products. It was through an ULTA purchase, that I received a deluxe sample of their Sugar Coconut Nourishing Lip Butter and Extraordinary Whipped Sugar Scrub. How did I like them? Find out below.

Lalicious Sugar Coconut Nourishing Lip Butter ($18) - Bittersweet

This lip butter is housed in a jar. The consistency of it is more like a lip balm (hard but malleable). The scent is great! It smells like authentic coconut. It's soft & sweet. What I don't particularly care for is scooping the product out of the jar. Secondly, it's a little heavy! I tested it out at night, because it conflicted with any lipstick I tried wearing during the day. It did better with liquid lipstick & colored lip balm (but doesn't that defeat the purpose). Thirdly, you get some moisture, but it didn't moisturize my lips as well as my Fresh lip balms. So that is why I say, this is just ok. The scent is what's nice.

Lalicious Sugar Coconut Extraordinary Whipped Sugar Scrub ($35) - Bittersweet

This coconut scrub looks DREAMY in the jar! Again, great authentic coconut scent! The granules are not too soft or too hard for your skin (even my dry sensitive skin). The problem I had was the experience! You rub this scrub in. Mix it with water. Your skin becomes an oily mess! Your tub and shower floor become an oily mess. I had a flashback to when I tried Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Polish! It did the same thing. With both brands however, you are left glowing, moisturized skin! But it's what you have to go through. May I suggest, if you're looking for a great moisturizing scrub try Soap & Glory's Breakfast Scrub. It moisturizes without the oily feeling and is still my favorite.
