9/11 is one of New York's biggest historical moments. Therefore, it makes sense to spend some of your time paying respect to this traumatic life event.

This is a respectful and purposeful activity to pursue when you are spending time in the big apple, so do not miss out as it is one of the city’s most iconic spots.

Indulge in the food

NYC is home to some of the world's most incredible foods. Similar to other popular cities around the world, there is a huge multinational foodie cuisine which means you can find anything that you wish to. As well as being able to eat Asian and European Food, there are plenty of New York delicacies to try when you are there.

From baked pretzels and bagels to pizzas and sweets, there is plenty to indulge in when you're spending time in the Big Apple.

Set time aside to wander around Central Park

Another top tip for how to spend your time in New York City is to set plenty of time aside to wander around Central Park.

Whether you are travelling in the spring, summer, fall or winter, walking around Central Park is an incredible moment. Seeing it in the summer means that you will be able to spend hours there during the day having a picnic with friends. Or, you can see in the winter and go ice skating in the middle of the park, which was quite a surreal experience.

Don’t be afraid of heights

There are plenty of high buildings in New York City, which means there are plenty of sightseeing spots they will wish to visit, even if you are afraid of heights.

From the Rockefeller Center and the Chrysler Building to the Empire State Building, there are plenty of tall buildings that you can visit and see New York City from above.

Shop, shop, shop

Walking around the city, you will understand that there is plenty to do when it comes to shopping.

Walking down 5th Ave, you will take in some of the most iconic shops in the world as well as local shops which you will wish to head in to see what they sell. Whether or not you like shopping, shopping in New York City is an amazing experience, so don't knock it until you try it. We recommend shopping in the morning as it will be much quieter.
