Treats International Snack Subscription Box Review: Croatia And Serbia

PR Sample - Remember my review of Treats? Well, they reached out to me again. They said, they had a treat box that I would like even MORE than the Japan box! Say whaaat!?! I could not pass that up. I said, SEND IT TO ME! I opened the box and there was a BEAUTIFUL card that said, 'these snacks are from Serbia & Croatia'. Crickets <Silence> You should've seen my facial expression! PRICELESS! I've never had a Serbia or Croatia ANYTHING! Well let me tell you! Serbia and Croatia have some REALLY DELICIOUS SNACKS! This box had me dancing. My mom took half my snacks (and you're talking about a PICKY EATER)! I'm so glad they sent me doubles! Below are my thoughts on each and a discount code just for A Very Sweet Blog readers. Thanks Treats!

Smoki
These puffed snacks taste so good! They're light. Not heavy. They have a light, smoke (bbq) and seasoned taste. They are airy like Cheetos cheese puffs. I ate the entire bag. Excellent! I wish I had more! They'll make you throw away your potato chip bag.

Prima
These are pretzel sticks. I liked the fact they didn't taste salty. Sometimes that is what turns me off from pretzels. They were fresh, crunchy and tasty.

Tortica
Think...a sugar wafer...that's drenched in chocolate! Crisp, light and chocolatey! LOVED this snack.

Bananko
As soon as you open the package, you smell authentic banana! It even looks like a banana.
Yummy chocolate and the filling is very fluffy.

Dorina
It looks like a Nestle Crunch candy bar, but it's YUMMY shortbread cookies and chocolate.

Munchmallow
It's marshmallow, covered in chocolate with a graham cracker crust. SO GOOD!
I loved that they were individually wrapped.

Isleri + Eurocrem
This made me love vanilla wafers again! It's a vanilla wafer, then a vanilla wafer drenched in chocolate and then a chocolate filling. Tastes DELICIOUS!

Ki Ki Plus
At first I thought the packaging said Kim Kim! How VAIN OF ME! LOL I'm tearing these up! Two flavors! Pineapple & Cherry! Each contains Vitamin C and have a true FRUIT TASTE! It doesn't taste artificial.

Kras Animal Kingdom
How cute are these! They are milk chocolate bars with cute animal packaging. I'm finding that International chocolates are not as sweet as the American kind. I prefer it. You can taste the true cocoa.

Kidy
My mom tried these, because she LOVES coconut! She said it was a rich coating of milk chocolate and the coconut tasted yummy and true to taste :D

Lizli
This is a solid milk chocolate bar on a stick! I loved the cute animal figure.

Napolitanke
Any coffee lovers out there? This has a mocha coffee filling within a sugar wafer.
The mocha is VERY LIGHT! Awesome snack.

Kinder Happy Hippo (GERMANY)
Ok! So I bit his nose off! It was either that or his butt! LOL SO DELICIOUS! It was suggested that I freeze it, but with the remodeling going on in my house I never did. But this tasted so good! It was like molten chocolate cake! Chocolate plus cookie! Loved it.

  2. Oh my gosh I was drooling by the end of this post! Every single thing you got is something I would eat in a heartbeat haha, there was chocolately goodness galore. My least favorite thing about getting snacks from other countries is when you love something and it's impossible to get your hands on again (though I'm making it my mission to try and hunt some of these down: Munchmallow please!)

  3. haha I think I would have made that face at first too Kim! I've never thought what kind of snacks would come from there...

That kinder hippo looks so tasty! We have kinder bars that are like that, just plain chocolate bars, but the wafer is on the inside and the chocolate is on the outside. That's like the reverse, would have been so tasty! :)

  4. I remember seeing these on your Snapchat and drooling along with you when I saw them. I have a Croatian friend and I can't say I've ever seen any of these, if I have I've probably forgotten. I have tried those mocha wafers though. My mum sometimes buys them and I kinda hate them. They always taste stale to me. But it could just be the way the store stores them or perhaps they don't travel well to this side of the world lol.

  7. This was so fun to see! I love and eat all of these and I have been loving all of these since my childhood. What was your fav? do tell:):)!!!
Croatia has some really excellent quality food brands, so I'm happy you got the chance to try them....and now you can understand what a struggle it is for me to resist eating all the time;)....but seriously, we're totally foodies here and in this whole region ( Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, BIH, Montenegro etch) one can really dine like a king!

  8. just one thing...I don't think that Kinder hippo is a Croatian or Serbian product....Kinder is a well know Italian brand that was originally developed in Germany...but the rest of the products are all local.

  14. I loved your last review of the Japanese snacks, Kim, but this one is even better; I spent some time travelling in Central and Eastern Europe in 2009. One of the things I still remember most was the food, from the delicious meals to the simplest snacks bought at the grocery store checkout. Nothing was "healthy" the way we think of healthy in North America, but it was all fresh and natural and so delicious. Everything in this box sounds so good. And I love Happy Hippos, yum!

  31. All that chocolate!!! Oh my gosh, I need or all LOL! Everything looks so good Kim, and I've never heard of any of these!

  32. So interesting! And yes, you are right, it's not often when we come across something from these countries. :) Now I am wondering if you are going to get anything Russian... Our chocolate has always been pretty good and we have a few other things similar to marshmallows, special chocolate bars and fruit jellies that I adore (and they used to be very natural, too - not sure about now, though)
Anyway, thanks for the intro - I did recognise the Hippo, but everything else was new (but waffles and puffy thingies reminded me of something Russian - hence a memory report above). :) :) :) :)

  33. Haha, so cool you like Happy Hippo, Kim! It's actually the first time I read to freeze it.. huhhh?? :-DD Anyway... Kim Kim Plus looks like something similar I've tried before. The other treasure were new to me as well. All in all really versatile box to try. <3
