Not Sponsored: Hey Guys! Last week, Target had a One Day Sale. Among the categories discounted by 25%, was Beauty & Personal Care Products. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Target carries Soap & Glory. I SUPER LOVE Soap & Glory's Sugar Crush Body Wash & Body Buttercream (review here). I keep it stocked in my bathroom. I'm a huge fan of their Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub (review here). It's my favorite body scrub. I also really like their Smoothie Star Lightly Whipped Body Buttercream (review here) Well, Soap & Glory has come out with a new collection called Call of Fruity. I was excited about this, because it's been a long time since Soap & Glory has come out with a new scent/collection. I purchased Bubble in Paradise (body wash), The Way She Smoothes (body lotion) and No Woman No Dry (body butter). The scent for all of these are practically the same, a mix of melon (mango, mandarin, cantaloupe, passion fruit, papaya), hibiscus and cedarwood. The scent is very light. I pick up on the fruit & the hibiscus. I like the scent, because it's fresh & very Summer, but I haven't fallen in love with it. It's nice, but I didn't fall in love with it the way I did with Sugar Crush. I think it's the hibiscus and cedar wood that's throwing it off for me, even though it's not floral-y. That's the thing with scents! Different scents appeal differently to different people. So I would suggest going to the store and taking a whiff of these yourself to see how it appeals to you. I don't see this scent offending anyone at all, but would I purchase it again? For me, no. I also want to mention, all of these products have great coloring. They have a peaches n' cream color. It's really pretty. Let's talk PERFORMANCE! The formula for all of these are excellent! The body wash is creamy, lathers and cleans well. If your skin doesn't require a lot of hydration, The Way She Smoothes body lotion should be enough (it's a perfect weight for Summer). If you have dry skin like me, I would suggest No Woman No Dry. It's not heavy, but will give your skin more hydration than The Way She Smoothes (that goes for ALL Soap & Glory body butters...My dry skin prefers them over their lotions). So bottom line, go to the store and see if you like the scent. I also feel this is strictly a Summer scent (unless you want a tropical vibe in the Winter)! I kept going back & forth as to whether to give this a Sweet or Bittersweet rating. There were never any bells or whistles. This collection is missing the oomph factor. Every time I took a whiff, I just felt it was ok. If I graded it just on the formula, then I would give it a Sweet rating. Target's everyday price on Soap & Glory is cheaper than ULTA! I was unaware. However when ULTA has BOGO 50% off, their price is cheaper. Plus you can always use your ULTA points. So you really have to know your prices, discounts and sales.
