Briogeo has several collections, but the Don't Despair, Repair! collection of products are fortified with rosehip oil, almond oil, algae extract, and b vitamins which restore dry, damaged hair to look shiny and healthy. I've never tried ANY Briogeo products before, but I thought this treatment would be a great start for me. I have dry hair. I also have severely damaged hair (because of a shampoo that I used years ago, that dried out my hair and then a relaxer was applied ... which caused scalp damage). It's been a long recovery for me and I am still not there yet, but I am seeing stronger hair growth. One of my blog buddies, who has absolutely gorgeous hair ... Desle of, Diva Desle blog, uses a rice treatment on her hair. I haven't tried that process yet, but I definitely plan on doing so before the end of this year or next year. When I do, I will let you know my thoughts. Briogeo's Rice Water Protein + Moisture Strengthening Treatment promises stronger hair (2x) after just one use. It's an intensive weekly treatment in which Briogeo states it "protects hair from future damage, while deeply hydrating ingredients work to nourish dry, brittle hair and support healthy elasticity in your strands". After shampooing your hair, you wring your hair of excess water and apply this treatment while your hair is DAMP (that is so important ... don't apply to dry hair, it will become hard/crunchy). You can either leave it in for 10 minutes or as an overnight treatment. I tried it as an overnight treatment. While using this product, my hair became stronger, I didn't see the breakage I usually see and when I rinsed out my hair it felt soft. I was really impressed. So what are the key ingredients in this treatment? Proprietary Rice Protein Complex that protects hair against future damage by strengthening the cuticle with vital protein. Rosehip Oil which is rich in essential fatty acids that hydrate to control frizz and split ends. Algae Extract, which is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that protect from damage. B Vitamins, which restores nourishment to hair damaged by heat or chemical treatments. The packaging for this treatment has TWO CHAMBERS! One side is the strengthening side and the other side is the hydration side. What else is great about this product (brand) is that there are NO harsh sulfates, NO silicones, NO Phthalates, NO Parabens, NO DEA and NO Artificial Dyes. So, I was impressed with my results. I took Briogeo's hair quiz and they suggested that I use their Super Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner. So, I'll try that next!
