NEW! AVEENO Oat Milk Blend Shampoo & Conditioner Review, AVEENO Hair Care Collections And Eczema Awareness Month

PR Sample: Hey Everybody! October is Eczema Awareness Month. 1 out of 10 people suffer from eczematic skin and hair (scalp). Eczema can cause severe dryness, itchiness, patchiness and flaking of the skin. Did you know, there are 7 types of eczema? I was unaware. The National Eczema Association's website is an excellent read and very informative. I'm learning a lot. I don't have eczema, but I do have extremely dry skin. I constantly have to moisturize my skin, on my entire body. Well, AVEENO has come out with a NEW collection of hair care products that target various problems (I will discuss a little further down in my post) and the Oat Milk Blend Collection is one of them. 

The Oat Milk Blend Collection, which is composed of AVEENO's Oat Milk Blend Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave-In Milk Hair Treatment, focuses on dry, itchy scalp. AVEENO uses an oat milk formula to help relieve these symptoms. AVEENO is known for using oats in their popular lotions; and dermatologists have recommended AVEENO products for ages. This oat milk formula is comprised of oats and almond milk. Don't those two ingredients sound soothing? I also like the fact, that ALL of these products are formulated without dyes, sulfates or parabens. 

Let's take a look at the packaging! I think you're going to love it. The bottles are slim-line and very sleek. I appreciate this, because I have a conglomerate of products in my shower. So somebody at AVEENO really thought about this space-saving feature when selecting a bottle. The product easily pours out and the bottle is squeezable. So you don't have to fight to get the product out of the container. I love the script and color of the bottles. The bottles are pretty to look at and give you the feeling of a natural theme. So everything from aesthetics to function is seamless.

The million dollar question (and point of this review) IS ...  how good are the products? I'm going to tell you right now ... YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THEM! I am so impressed! Let me start with the shampoo! Wet your hair. Pour some of this shampoo (white pearlized formula) in the palm of your hand and apply it to your hair. But, even before you do that ... STOP and smell your hands! This shampoo smells so good. This shampoo really lathers. I LOVE THAT! I prefer lather, because it makes me feel like my hair is getting clean. I will deal with low-lather, but I prefer suds. After shampooing my hair, it felt moisturized. My scalp felt nourished. This shampoo rinses out cleanly. The moisture and nourishment you experience while shampooing never goes away after you rinse. Don't you hate a "moisturizing" shampoo that moisturizes while you're shampooing and then after you rinse your hair, the moisture goes away. Well NOT with this shampoo! I'm really impressed. It says what it does and it does what it says.

I'm also impressed with the conditioner! It's pretty much the color of natural oats. After shampooing, generously apply the conditioner to your hair. FUN FACT #1: Make shampooing & conditioning your hair the very first thing you do, when stepping into the shower. The reason I say do this is because, the heat & steam from the shower will help "work-in" the conditioner. AVEENO suggests you leave the conditioner in for 3-5 minutes (that's why I suggest doing hair care as soon as you step into the shower). The conditioner smells WONDERFUL and oh how it infuses each strand and moisturizes your hair! FUN FACT #2 (after applying the conditioner): While showering, wash your face and apply lip scrub (then work the conditioner throughout your hair), wash your body (work the conditioner throughout your hair again) etc. Each time you do this, your hair should feel softer and more moisturized. By the time you rinse it out, your hair will be seriously moisturized. Just like with the shampoo, this moisture will not rinse away! This conditioner is not heavy, but just right. You don't even need a detangler after using this conditioner. Again, I am impressed.
