Day 6 - Milan Fashion Week S/S 2014

Yesterday was the last day of Milan Fashion Week! I'm really glad I followed daily, because I learned about new designers and witnessed some truly exquisite collections. I've decided to follow Paris Fashion Week. So I'll be posting daily about that (unless I combine days. haha). What was my favorite collection on the last day of MFW? It was Gianfranco Ferre. The belts and draping were absolutely gorgeous. I really love that green dress with the silver belt. It's exquisite. Armani had some beautiful designs. There was lots of blue in his collection. Loved the orange and soft fabrics in Mila Schon's collection. I also loved the orange leather and white/gold in the Genny collection. Have a great Tuesday everybody! Now, on to PARIS! :)

  11. Hi Kim! You are right, in this last roundup from MFW, Gianfrance Ferrè is also my fav. I like the fact modern and classic style are together in the line, the shapes and the fabrics are really cool as well as the belts. I also like Mila Schon, Genny and Giorgio Armani. Now focus on Paris!:D Have a good day dear, kisses! xo

  12. Ferre was one of my absolute favourites. So beautiful... x

P.S. I saw the M&S reply, too. I thought it was the most pointless reply I've ever seen in a whole history of dealing with brands customer care. They could just as well say "some time in 2013"... :D

Gianfranco Ferre seems very futuristic but very wearable! I like it :)

  37. Ferre was my favourite too Kim, such a high-end elegance! Genny was a pleasant surprise as well. Are you there? Or watching Paris shows nipping at a box of chocolate? I would prefer salted popcorn but I'm under the impression you have a sweet tooth. I love your reviews Kim, you write so beautifully, you are and entertainer!

  39. Wow, I'vejust checked all your posts about Milan FW and you've done such a GREAT job! I've really enjoyed your comments and picks. And now I see what you meant with Paris being quite puzzling as compared to Milan, there are so many gorgeous looks in Milan FW. But I've always had the impression that this is part of the game. Milan is a more passionate and glamourous catwalk while Paris comes across as a more intelectual gathering, with that French je ne sais quoi which is sometimes hard to get for foreigners. Haute Couture is a different matter, al then Paris becomes like a fairy tale.

I absolutely loved Dolce & Gabbana, I'm currently in love with their exquisite Fall 2013 collection and the next Spring collection seems equally good. I also go for minimalistic looks, just like you ;) and also think that Cavalli is quite cheap. However, I'm more fan of Versace since Donnatella is designing, she's done some beutiful things! But she's also done some terrible things - like the current Fall/Winter 2013 collection.

I'll try to keep up to date with your summaries from Paris :D
