Pour yourself a glass of champagne! London Fashion Week (LFW) wraps up today. Look for my favorites tomorrow. Let's talk details! If there's one thing I love, it's details! Details are usually what makes something SPECIAL or UNIQUE. They're like the frosting on the cake, cherry on top of a sundae, or sprinkles on a cupcake. It shows you thought about things and care about your project. This led me to research some of the invites and perks that were given out for LFW. Designers want you to remember them and most importantly GET THE WORD OUT about their collection. They want buyers to BUY and items to SELL! This is when marketing teams and event planners must work their magic. I should've gone into marketing, because I love this kind of stuff. HaHa Here are a few invitations & goodies that were handed out, that caught my eye on Instagram. Possessing an invitation alone is almost like MONEY! There are so many that would covet any one of these.
Burberry Prorsum S/S 2014 Invitation
Mulberry S/S 2014 Invitation - Teacups & Saucers
L'Wren Scott S/S 2014 Perk - Bento Boxes & Champagne
Giles S/S 2014 Invitation - Pink! Kiss! Muah! Smooch!
Matthew Williamson S/S 2014 Invitation & Perk - Chocolate Lollipop -

Sophia Webster S/S 2014 Invitation - (Garden Theme) Flower Pen
Anya Hindmarch S/S 2014 Invitation & Perk - (Out Of This World) Planetary Pops
House of Holland S/S 2014 Invitation & Perk - Fake Tattoos

Lovely post Kim! Sometimes I feel jealous of all the London bloggers, who are right smack bang in the thick of all the action!
ReplyDeleteAwesome invitations!! :D
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing. I would like to go at least once in my lifetime!! Maybe one day :))) These boxes and invites are sublime, so grand. I love that they put so much into even the smallest of details, it's so nice. Have a great Tuesday doll :))
ReplyDeleteWow they sure put a lot of thought into those invites. The Burberry one was the best by far I think. I also like the planetary pops one. Mine must have been lost in the post :( He he. sparkle2day.com
ReplyDeleteYes, I saw those mini teacups in another blogger's invite. That was too cute! The DAKS one was really useful, but the Burberry one may be the most gorgeous!

Fabulous details! Love the House of Holland tattoo! Having said that, despite the fact that I live in here, London and London Fashion Week might as well be on two different planets. I guess it's down to the fact that I'm not a fashion blogger and don't go anywhere near any of the LFW venues. Love your collection of images here. Have a fab day xo
ReplyDeleteNICE wouldn't mind an invite to any one of these shows ;-)
ReplyDeleteHAppy day love,
Ax

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, don't you just want to know (and have) whatever they've got in those Temperley bags?.... How lucky some people are...
ReplyDeleteThe invites are beyond fab. As an unspoilt fashion lover I would probably frame each of them to treasure the memories. :)

I love the details!
ReplyDeleteThe designers really went all out trying to stand out, which IMO is great:D I love those bento boxes from L'Wren the most.

Hi Kim! You had a brilliant idea! Wish you did also for NYFW, when we talk about fashion weeks we care about the collections but also the invitations and the perks are amazing and something worthy to share! I am pretty stunned by everthing, the one from Giles seems to be the most simple but each of them got a quirky and unique character. I think my fav is the one from Matthew Williamson, the choco lollipops definitely inspires me!:) Have a great day dear, kisses! xo
ReplyDeleteBENTO BOXES. Those win in my book! I am not too sure on the temporary tattoos, but I think they might be fun I guess! I wanna be invited to things! lol :P
ReplyDeleteGreat post Kim! I've loved seeing all the invites popping up on my instagram...I think Mulberry's tea cups and saucers are my favourite :-)

I love details like this, too, Kim - I think it's so important when you're planning an event, no matter how big or small, to leave no detail to chance. That Burberry invitation is incredible. Oh, how I wish one would show up in my post box... I don't even need to go to the show, I just want that amazing card!
ReplyDeletexox,
Cee
That's why they're fashion designers, they come up with the coolest invitations! I love them all! Have a great Tuesday, Kim.

oh my glob, you had me swooning at that Burberry invite alone!
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks like no detail was spared on the design of any these invitations! I really like how the brand aesthetic is reflected in them as well. Looking forward to your LFW wrap up!
ReplyDeleteRYC: I'll try to do my post on the MJB nail lacquer next week but I'll let you know when I do and I'll link yours when I do as well :) Thanks for saying that about my brace! I'm so glad I didn't end up with a boot. My doctor said he gives the soft one to many of his athletes patients. How long did you have to wear yours for? Shake Shack is always expanding so there is a chance that one might open in NO in the future ;)
Rowena @ rolala loves
what great invites! so clever and pretty, but the classy burberry is my favorite.
