Susu Handbags | The Angelica

After looking at their website, I was very excited to do so. To give you a little background, Susu the founder and chief designer of Susu Handbags lives and works in Los Angeles, California. All of her handbags are influenced by her travels, the fashion scene of Los Angeles and the world. Prior to making handbags, Susu worked for BCBG Max Azria and received a BA in Fashion Design. I always like to know a little bit of history about a designer, so I thought this would interest you as well. It always intrigues me.

Susu makes backpacks, clutches, crossbodies, shoulder bags, satchels and totes. I love crossbody bags, so I picked this cutie. I was sent the Angelica Faded Denim Clutch. You're probably saying, Kim I thought you said crossbody? Well you guys, that is the beauty of this purse. It's a shoulder bag. It's a crossbody. It's a clutch. The Angelica gives you so many options. If I had to describe the Angelica in one word, it would definitely be the word 'versatility'.

The Angelica comes in a beautiful assortment of colors: black, black leopard, coral, metallic silver, nude, orange, pink, red, turquoise, white, light blue (faded denim), denim, electric yellow, metallic gold, and rose gold. There's definitely a color that will tickle your fashion fancy. I challenged myself not to purchase it in my favorite neutral, which is black ;)  So I chose the light blue (faded denim) instead. I'm so glad I did, because not only does it pair well with black, its pairing well with all of the colors in my closet. Just look how nice it looks with my french-inspired sweater & jeans.

Another thing I love about crossbody bags is that they're no-fuss. The Angelica is super slim & sleek. Just take a look at the dimensions: (width: 7.5″-12.5", height: 5.5″, depth: 1.5″, strap drop: 21″). This bag has a beautiful diagonal flap, which has a magnetized closure. The crosshatched leather is both durable and can easily be cleaned. The Angelica has a removable chain strap, which automatically turns it into a clutch. The front & back of this bag is very polished.

 

The Angelica also has a fabric-lined interior. The one I chose has a yellow interior. Its so pretty! 

I think the last thing I want to mention, is that the Angelica can be dressed up or down. I show it here with a casual denim outfit. But since receiving this bag for over a couple of weeks now, I have worn it with business suits and tailored pants. It's also a year-round bag. It will look great in all seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter. Lots of wear!

I would like to thank Susu Handbags for sending me the Angelica. Its not only a beautiful bag, but a functional one as well! I LOVE IT! That's why I paired these 'LOVE' ballet flats with it :) Did I also mention how well this bag holds up in the rain? LOL I could go on raving about this bag. There are so many positives.
