The Scoop On Spring Trends: Scoop NYC

Florals Are Fun - Have you noticed all of the beautiful floral prints and embellishment in fashion recently? Florals are sprouting everywhere! They're in full bloom for Spring and can be found in both casual & evening wear. I really like the current styles. The looks are soft, romantic and many of the current designs look like exquisite watercolor paintings. Many fashion bloggers are currently wearing floral jeans, leggings, and cute ballet flats. Will you be adding florals to your wardrobe this season? I want to incorporate more into my closet. Maybe that will give my stripes addiction a break. :)

Give Me Color - Lately my brain has been in Spring mode. It always starts at the beginning of the year. After the holidays, I'm ready for old man winter to pack his bags and take a long trip. I then want to place a welcome mat out and greet Spring with open arms.HaHaHa I love Spring and all it's beautiful colors. Give me citrusy oranges, bright yellows, gorgeous greens, perfect pinks and beautiful blues! Everyone's wardrobe needs a touch of color. It's so refreshing!

Lovely Lace - Lace has really changed over the years. Not so much in the types of lace, but simply how it's implemented in design and fashion. Lately, designers are blending lace with fierce fabrics, such as leather. It really gives clothes edge, yet maintains femininity & softness that most of us want. I'm also loving lace with color.

Staying Neutral - From season to season, colors come and go. Prints come and go. However, black, brown and white never go out of style! Aren't they the perfect staples? Over the years I've learned black adds class and sophistication to any design, brown is a great alternative when you don't want to wear black, and white is a clean slate to which any color can be added or looks great alone. Try blending neutrals together!

I'm totally dreaming of an early spring since I'm so over winter at this point and these lovely spring trends have me excited about what I can wear when we finally get a break from the cold. I would also like to add more florals to my wardrobe but I don't think anything will break me out of my addiction to stripes. Hehe glad to know i'm not the only one with that particular affliction Kim :)

I love lace, so that's always a great thing!! I'm not even thinking of winter any more, I don't think I ever was, I went straight to spring. I really can't be bothered doing anything more until spring gets here, haha. Love these choices, so pretty!! It will be amazing when spring is finally here, I can't wait. Am enjoying the time off, went to Loch Lomond today and did nothing, haha. Just had fun, no picture taking, no trying to get blog stuff done, no cleaning, just relaxed. I needed it. I hope you get some relaxing time too soon doll!! Love you too xo

Florals are one of those trends... I love the way they look on the rack, but not on me. Neutrals and lace, on the other hand, I am all over. I was at a fabric show today and had a chance to see some amazing kinds of lace for upcoming seasons - definitely has me excited for spring fashions!
