Tiffany & Co. 2012 Holiday Ad Campaign

It's Friday. What shall we talk about today? We can talk about Kate Middleton's new hairstyle. We can talk about Kendall Jenner as Miss Vogue. We can talk about Halle Berry, her ex, and her current beau's knock down drag out Thanksgiving brawl. If you would like to give your thoughts on any of these, feel free to. But you know what? I rather look at pretty jewels. hahaha

Let's talk Tiffany. What is it about a Tiffany & Co. blue box? The famous blue box is now adorned with red ribbon for the holiday season. I thought that was a very nice touch. Jeweler Tiffany & Co has been in existence for 175 years. Can you believe that? I mean that's my age x ohhhhhhh I shall not say! hahaha Well you guys, they just recently launched a Tumblr account and below are some pictures from their Holiday 2012 Ad Campaign. I love their holiday ad campaigns. They're always so dreamy and romantic. They also put together a video, "The Dream Maker", commemorating their 175 year existence. The video talks about the founder, the importance of having dreamers in life, where they get their gems, and the craftsmanship that goes into making their jewelry (for some pieces it takes nearly a year to make).

Have you ever received, gifted (or bought for yourself) the famous "blue" box? I haven't (yet). They do have several cute mugs (click here and here)? hahaha I wonder if they come in a blue box? hahaha

Does it matter where your jewels come from? I think as long as jewelry makes you feel good, it doesn't matter where it comes from. But I wouldn't mind buying at least ONE item from Tiffany's just to have the box and shopping bag! hahaha What are your thoughts regarding Tiffany & Co? Have a great weekend everybody! Check back Monday! There's a company that wants to give one of YOU a gift card.

A Blog Wishlist

Let's put on our day-dreamy think-y caps today! I'm about to ask you a "what if..." question!

Whether you're a fashion, beauty, foodie, lifestyle blogger etc. what would be YOUR ideal location or set up for a photoshoot?

The reason I'm asking you this question, is because one of my favorite bloggers, Nicole Warne of Gary Pepper blog, recently fulfilled hers and shared it on her blog.In her blog post JE T'AIME, she confides that the Paris shoot you see here was one she wanted to do for a long time. She has a bucket list of things that she would like to do and plans on fulfilling them.

That got me thinking! We all have wish lists of things we want to purchase or do, but what about our BLOGS? It's important to have goals and wish lists for our blogs too! I ask each of my readers to look at their blog, ask what do you visualize for it and write those thoughts down to fulfill.

So what would be my ideal photoshoot? I think if I had to do a photoshoot, my ideal setting would be either a cake, candy or ice cream shop! Are you guys surprised? HaHaHa Oh hell, let's up the ante! Why not an entire Willy Wonka Factory Set filled with ALL OF THE ABOVE! I always say, go for the gusto! HaHaHa

All pictures are the property of Gary Pepper
To view the entire photoshoot, please click HERE.

So here's to DREAMS and IMAGINATION!
I ask you! If you could do a photoshoot anywhere, anyplace, where would it be?
Have you created a wishlist or goals for your blog?

Fifi Lapin, Tea and Me

Fifi Lapin, an hare-ss (heiress) to her father's fortune, is the quintessential rabbit. She's a socialite, loves fashion, and has her own blog & shop. What more could a rabbit-ista ask for? Fifi has been featured in popular fashion magazines and has collaborated with top designers on various projects. The lovely people at Iconemesis collaborate with industry's finest artists such as Fifi Lapin, and together they create beautiful iPhone covers for your cell phone. Iconemesis sent me this beautiful Fifi Lapin Teacup iPhone cover. Upon receiving the cover, it truly made me feel like a ritzy, glitzy, heiress.

As I sipped my cup of tea this weekend, I pondered about the word "heiress". An heiress, is a woman who inherits or expects to inherit great wealth. The dictionary equates great wealth with a very large sum of money. However, is it not possible for one to be rich and wealthy non-monetarily? Let's think about this.

Of course, we all need money to live in this world. Man has made it that way unfortunately. However, I think each of us have seen countless examples where large sums of money doesn't guarantee happiness for someone. I feel one can be equally as (if not more so) rich, wealthy and satisfied within when filled to the brim with such things as love, caring, sharing, kindness and giving. Ohhhh, my thoughts and teacup runneth over! Please have a confetti cupcake!

In conclusion, what I'm trying to say is that sometimes in life, it's the little things that matter. You may not be an heiress. You may not have an exorbitant amount of money. However, it's important to FEEL and THINK rich thoughts each and everyday. The kind gesture the people at Iconemesis did by sending me this pretty Fifi Lapin Teacup iPhone cell phone cover, put a BIG SMILE on my face. Every-time I use my phone, it makes me happy. I like looking at it. It was chilly outside this weekend, so I created a tea party for one inside. I filled a teacup with hot tea, read some interesting books, snacked on confetti cupcakes & sugar cookies and smiled at my cool new iphone cover. These are a few of my favorite things and they truly warmed me from within. How do you like my new cell phone cover? Take a look at Iconemesis' website for more beautiful iPhone cell covers. Plus they provide FREE shipping within the UK! Have a great week everybody!

I hope you get some relief from the rain soon.

A Gobble-icious Thanksgiving

I had a very nice and relaxing Thanksgiving. Started my morning baking blueberry muffins and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. While waiting for the turkey to bake, my family and I watched football and played Snackopoly. Snackopoly? HaHa Yes! The other day when I found the Hostess stickers (I received them you guys!), I also found a vintage Little Debbie Snackopoly (like Monopoly) game. It was only made and distributed to employees that worked at Little Debbie and not the public. I bought this one cheap to re-sell in my Etsy shop, but it's so cute I may keep it for myself. HaHaHa

For Thanksgiving I had turkey, cornbread dressing, peas, sweet potato casserole w/marshmallows, and rolls. For dessert, I picked up a sweet potato pie from Tee Eva's. It is the best sweet potato pie. Tee Eva's ships out of state if interested. They have been featured in Elle, Williams Sonoma and countless other magazines & tv shows. Pre-order your pie if you plan to pick one up from the shop and have cash on hand to pay for it. I'm a full, thankful and happy girl right now. How was your dinner?

Robert Fresh Market: Let's Go Grocery Shopping!

A Tisket...
A Tasket...
  Peek inside my basket!

Hey Everybody! It's the day before Thanksgiving! Since I'm busy in the kitchen cooking for the next two days, I thought I would give you a little peek of where I grocery shop. It's called Robert (pronounced "row-bear") and it's near my home.

Robert Fresh Market is small, but it's packed with LOTS of really tasty and unique things! They have freshly cut flowers, daily baked french bread, delectable crawfish pasta, hot beignets, tempting muffalettas, imported wine, specialty ice cream and a wonderful selection of fine cut meats & seafood. If I have BIG grocery shopping to do, I usually shop somewhere else. However, I love the charm of Robert. They have the best stuff! Hope you enjoy!

A Little Lagniappe - I'm taking tomorrow off from blogging (Thanksgiving Holiday)! But I'll be back with a yummy new post Friday!

Did you guys spot the Zapps New Orleans VOODOO Potato Chips? HaHaHa They have voo doo dolls on the bags! Our ice cubes, from Pelican Ice (our state bird) even have New Orleans Saints (for my international readers, that's our local football team) printed on the bags! As you can see from my car seat, I love freshly baked bread. HaHaHa

Have a great Wednesday and tell me what kind of grocery stores YOU like to shop at! BIG or small?
