3 Reasons Product Quality Should Be A Priority

When running a business, you’ll find yourself always looking for ways you can save money. It’s not easy running an efficient business, but when it comes to product quality, you should never try to cut down. The quality of your product does a lot for your business, and you would regret it if you reduced the quality just to save yourself some money. It’s important to keep in mind that your customers rely on your to uphold a certain standard, and if you changed that, there would be a number of different consequences.

Saving money should come from other areas of your business, that don’t affect the customers or the employees. If you want your business to succeed, you need to set a standard and be able to stick to it, else you risk undoing all of the work that you’ve put in so far.

Your reputation

As mentioned before, your customers are going to be expecting a certain standard from you if they’ve previously bought from you. That means that if you change your product somewhere down the line, it’s going to be noticeable, and that’s not always a good thing. It’s not uncommon for businesses to make changes to their product, and that can turn out differently depending on the kind of product.

If it’s a food item, it could prevent customers from ever returning, therefore permanently ruining your reputation. It might be more expensive for you to go for high-quality products, but it’s not going to be worth it in the long run.

Danger to customers

If you’re selling equipment or goods that are going to be relied on, you want to be sure that they’re going to do their job. Selling products that could put customers in danger could have serious repercussions for your business. Take a vaccine fridge, for example; something that maintains chemicals and prevents them from altering or spoiling will need to uphold its quality for the entirety of its usage. A fridge going faulty or working incorrectly can completely ruin its contents, costing your customers money.

Your brand is on the line, and if a customer is harmed while using your products due to low quality, then you’re likely going to be held responsible. There are many legal ramifications to this kind of issue, and if you’re not insured, it will mean the end for your business.

Higher profits

At first, it’s not going to be easy for your small business. Until you have a reputation, you’re not going to be able to ask for huge costs. People need to know that when they pay a lot, they're going to get a product or service that reflects that price. You should know that when you’re offering these high-quality products and services, your business will gain a better reputation, and you’ll be able to ask for higher prices. Once customers know that they’re going to get what they pay for, it’s up to you to make sure the quality matches the price at all times.

3 Effective Ways To Help Your Students Learn

Image by Sabrina Eickhoff from Pixabay

How often have you looked around your classroom only to find that some of your students weren’t paying attention? Are there many of them that aren’t learning the materials the way they should be? That could be reflected in their grades, among other areas.

If you’ve noticed a few of them, then you’ll want to know how to help your students learn more effectively. Thankfully, there are more than a few strategies you can use to accomplish this. While that means putting in the effort now, it’ll reap dividends in the long term.

How To Help Your Students Learn: 3 Top Strategies

1. Get Rid Of Distractions

The more distractions students have, the less attention they’ll give your lesson. You’ll need to make sure there aren’t any of these. By doing so, they’ll be more likely to give you your full attention when you’re teaching.

There are more than a few ways you can do this, such as making sure they don’t have their phones out. If they have access to computers during class, then a Lenovo NetFilter can make sure they’re only accessing what you want them to access.

 2. Have A Guideline For Disciplinary Measures

Your students should feel free to ask questions and engage with your lessons. At the same time, they’ll need to respect you as a teacher and know when to listen and behave. There’ll come a point where some of them won’t follow classroom rules, however.

You’ll need to be clear with what the rules are, but you’ll also need to have disciplinary measures. Your students will need to understand what the potential repercussions of their actions could be. Have a clear guideline for this.

3. Teach Them Social Skills

Everyone needs to learn social skills as they get older. While many of these are learned from friends and family, the classroom plays a vital role in this. You don’t need to go out of your way to teach a significant number of these, however.

Instead, it’s worth focusing on the classroom-specific skills they need. By doing so, you can make sure your students are much better behaved in class. Some of the more notable social skills you should teach them are:

  • Raising their hands before asking a question
  • Taking turns when answering questions
  • Not talking when you’re teaching

By combining this with the disciplinary guidelines mentioned above, you’ll see your students behave much better in class. In turn, that’ll help them learn better in class.

How To Help Your Students Learn: Wrapping Up

Knowing how to help your students learn more effectively is the aim of every teacher, but it doesn’t always come across that way. Students mightn’t respond to particular lesson plans, mightn’t be interested in specific subjects, and more.

By getting rid of distractions, having easy to understand disciplinary measures, and making sure your students have the right social skills, you can ensure that’s the case. While that means putting in some extra work now, you’ll see more than a few rewards because of it.

How To Boost Sales In A Small Business: 3 Marketing Ideas To Consider

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio from Pexels

Small business marketing can feel like an uphill battle, especially when you're trying to balance the needs of your business with the constraints of a small budget and limited time. Small businesses often struggle to compete in their local market because they don't have the resources to invest in traditional marketing such as print ads, billboards, or commercials. Luckily, there are plenty of affordable options that you can use to boost your sales and keep your small business thriving. Read on to learn about three of the many strategies that will help grow your small business.

Know Your Audience

Before you start any marketing campaign, you should make sure you know who your audience is. This will help guide your decision-making process and keep you from wasting money on strategies that don't make sense for your customers. There are a few ways to figure out your target audience. For example, customer surveys can help you clearly understand your customers' desires to serve their needs better. It's also important to consider how customers interact with your product or service and improve it as needed. You can also look at your competitors' marketing campaigns to see how they target their customers. This will give you great insight into how people respond to their advertisements.

Create a Solid Marketing Strategy

Once you know who your customers are and what they want, you can create a solid marketing strategy to reach them. A marketing strategy is your plan to reach your customers and convince them to buy your products or services. Before you dive in and start spending money on marketing, you should sit down and create a strategy that outlines your long-term goals and the specific ways that you plan to reach those customers.

If you are unsure exactly how to approach your marketing campaign, you should look into hiring an advertising agency to help you attract customers. You should also consider your available resources and what type of impact each marketing strategy could have on your business. For example, if you're trying to boost sales for your eCommerce store, you may want to choose strategies that target new customers since repeat customers are easy to acquire.

Partner with Relevant Brands

If you have a limited budget, consider partnering with another brand in your industry. Joining a marketing group or a small business club in your area provides you with access to a vast network of people who may be interested in partnering with your brand. You can also join online marketing groups on social media platforms like Reddit and Facebook to find potential partners. Sponsoring a local event is also a great way to get your name out to a broad audience of people who may want to partner with you for a relatively low price.

Conclusion

Marketing is an essential aspect of any business because it's the lifeblood of your company. Without customers, you won't be able to sustain your business. Boosting sales and customer acquisition can be difficult for small businesses that don't have the same budget as larger companies. Fortunately, there are plenty of affordable options that you can use to boost your sales.

Ways To Volunteer And Give Back When Traveling

There's no doubt that travel can be a rewarding and eye-opening experience. But it's not just about seeing new places and expanding your horizons; it's also about giving back to the communities you visit. When traveling, there are many ways to get involved in volunteer work and positively impact the people and places you encounter. This blog post will discuss some of the best ways to do just that!

Photo by Julia M Cameron from Pexels

1) Do your research before you go.

When you're planning a trip, take some time to research ways that you can volunteer in the communities you'll be visiting. Many online resources can help you find volunteer opportunities, or you can simply ask around for recommendations. Once you've found a few possibilities, reach out to the organizations and see if they have any specific needs that you could help with. Leigh Morgan of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is the COO of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and shares specific needs that the organization wants to focus on. You can have a look and see if any of these needs apply to your skills, and then get in touch with the Foundation.

It would help if you also thought about accommodation. It can be a great idea to stay with a local family or in a homestay. Not only will this give you a more authentic experience of the culture, but it will also allow you to get to know the people better and feel more connected to the community. If you're not comfortable with that level of immersion, there are plenty of other options, such as hostels, which often have programs that allow guests to volunteer in exchange for free or discounted accommodation.

When it comes to volunteering, there are many different ways to get involved, so it's important to find an opportunity that's right for you. Whether you're interested in working with children, the elderly, animals, or environmental conservation, there's sure to be an opportunity out there that's a perfect fit.

And finally, remember to respect the culture and customs of your visiting community. Do your best to learn about the local way of life before going, and follow all cultural guidelines while you're there. By doing so, you'll not only make a positive impact as a volunteer, but you'll also help create an understanding and appreciation for other cultures.

2) Give your time.

One of the best ways to volunteer when traveling is to simply give your time. Many organizations and charities can benefit from an extra set of hands, even if it's just for a few hours. If you're unsure where to start, a quick Google search will reveal plenty of options in almost any destination. For example, if you're interested in environmental work, you could look into beach cleanups or tree-planting programs. Or, if you're more inclined to work with people, there are always opportunities to help out at local schools or community centers. The possibilities are endless!

3) Use your skills.

Another great way to volunteer while traveling is to use your skills to help out in the community. If you have a particular skill set that could be useful, there are likely organizations that would love to have your help. For instance, if you're a teacher, you could offer English classes to locals; if you're a doctor or nurse, you could volunteer at a local clinic; if you're a photographer, you could document the work of a charity; and so on. There are countless ways to put your skills to good use when traveling, so get creative!

These are just a few of the many ways to get involved in volunteering when traveling. So next time you plan a trip, keep these ideas in mind and see how you can give back to the community you're visiting. It's a great way to make your trip even more meaningful!

A 5 Step Guide That Will Help You Prepare For Halloween

Not Sponsored: Halloween is only 85 days away! I know! I know! So close! Don't panic or scream, YET! If you're a fan of this spooky holiday (like I am) and haven't started planning, then this guide should help you get going.

Photo by Toni Cuenca from Pexels

1. Halloween Brainstorm

The first thing you need to do, is ask yourself (and/or family) what would you or they like to do for Halloween? Do a quick brainstorm and then jot those ideas down. Be as simple or elaborate as you like. Jot everything down! One of my Halloween dreams is spending a week at various Disney Resort locations (Florida, California and Paris) for Halloween. It's something I'm writing down as a future Halloween goal. During this brainstorm, decide whether you will be spending Halloween at home, with friends, traveling or going out that night. Did you decide? Great! Let's Plan.

2. Halloween At Home

If you're going to stay at home for Halloween, it doesn't have to be boring. I have a blast for Halloween at my home each and every year. Create your own private Halloween party. It can be lots of fun. Let me give you some ideas:

Decorate the inside of your home. Put yourself in the mood for Halloween, by decorating the inside of your home. Start early, so you can enjoy your decorations. I start putting up my inside Halloween decorations during the month of September. I do that because, it gives me a chance to enjoy the holiday. Decorating the inside of your home can be as simple as buying some Fall or Halloween scented candles from Bath & Body Works, Yankee Candle or Pier 1 to getting spooky decor from Party City, Michael's Craft Store, Home Goods, Kirklands, Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel.

Meal prep. What are you going to eat Halloween night or weekend? Are you going to prepare food? Order from Grubhub, Uber Eats, Waitr (new name ASAP) or Door Dash? Or put in a small catering order? Now is the time to decide, not only about the things you want to eat, but who will prepare them? This year, Halloween falls on a Monday. I will be celebrating all weekend, so I plan on doing a little of everything. I'm going to cook one day, order food from my favorite restaurants via food delivery for two days and then get pre-made party food from my local grocer.

Pass out candy ... leave candy for trick or treaters ... or no candy + WHAT to pass out!?! When you're home on Halloween night, you must decide whether you're going to pass out candy etc., leave a candy bowl out filled with treats for your trick-or-treaters or not pass candy out. If you're not passing out candy, then front porch-lights off. Whether you pass out treats or leave them out, then WHAT are you going to give those little ghouls or goblins? Depending on your budget, you can pass out candy (of course), Frito-Lay snack packs, small bottles of water, bubbles, anti-bacterial pocket-bacs, face masks, activity pads, novelty Halloween glasses, Halloween Play-Doh, mini key chain flashlights, glow sticks, Halloween pen or pencils, Halloween themed necklaces, puzzle cubes etc. I promise you, if you pass any of those things out, you will be a hit with the trick or treaters. Now's the time to catch those things on sale.

Watch spooky movies. I love staying at home, eating my favorite foods and watching spooky movies for Halloween (Well not so spooky! I'm more of a classic/vintage scary movie girl HaHaHa). I now DVR all of my favorite movies (throughout the year) and instead of trying to watch them all in one night (impossible), I have a two-month spooky marathon (where I watch 1-2 movies a night). Check out my blog post that lists ALL my favorite Halloween movies

Play spooky music. Halloween themed music is another great way to get into the holiday spirit. Play popular movie soundtracks from Harry Potter, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Addams Family, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Corpse's Bride, Phantom of the Opera, Beetlejuice, Halloween (movie) and Ghostbusters. Incorporate newer soundtracks like Stranger Things. Put together a mix of Halloween hits from Michael Jackson (Thriller), Rockwell (Somebody's Watching Me), Bobby Boris Pickett (Monster Mash) etc.

3. Host A Halloween Party At Home

Search for Halloween ideas on Pinterest, Etsy, and Instagram. So you've decided to host a Halloween party at your home. Need some inspiration? Visuals are the best. Log onto Pinterest, Etsy and Instagram to find some of the coolest ideas and visuals for your party. They are excellent resources for both inspiration and shopping. There are so many creative people on those sites. Group those ideas together to form your own. Now, let's get to planning!

Visit (or Shop Online) your local party stores (ex. Party City), craft stores (Michael's, Hobby Lobby) and smaller stores (Home Goods, Kirkland's, Pier 1, Pottery Barn, Grandin Road) for decoration inspiration. Items from these stores should help you decorate both the inside and outside of your home, which you need to do if you plan on having a party. Halloween decor is out NOW (August)! For the best selection and for your sanity, shop early.

Hire a cleaning & yard cutting team (or DIY). Will your party be inside or outside? Maybe both? Don't wait until the last minute to do everything. Start getting rid of clutter now (or maybe the clutter will work with your Halloween decor HaHaHa). The easiest thing to do is to hire a house cleaning & yard cutting service, to clean your home and cut your yard prior to the party. However, if you plan on doing all of this yourself,  map out days (clean only 1-2 rooms a day, so you don't get burned out) on your calendar (in advance) to get it all done.

What's on the menu? What drinks and food do you plan on serving your guest? Do any of your guests have dietary restrictions? Do you order the food, prepare it yourself or have it catered? How many people are attending? You don't want to run out of food or drinks. What will they eat on (plates, utensils, napkins)? What will they drink out of (cups, etc)? These are all very important questions. An assortment of food is always a good idea.

Entertainment. How do you plan on entertaining your guests during your Halloween party? Music is always a good choice (but please be respectful of your neighbors and local laws when playing music). You can have hourly raffles, where your guests win prizes (gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates, gift cards etc). You can do a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Halloween costume contest. Blindfold some of your guests and have them guess what popular Halloween candy they're eating (Snickers, Twix, Hershey's etc.) Whatever you do, make it FUN!

Send out email invites. So you're ready to have a party! Send out Halloween e-invitations. There are a number of websites that offer this service and keep track of your RSVP's (who's coming). Be sure to tell your guest to wear a costume.

4. Halloween With Friends

Get a cool costume. After looking at ALL the things you have to do to plan a Halloween party, celebrating Halloween with friends, is pretty EASY. HaHaHa So, put all your effort into finding a really cool costume. You might as well go all out! Bypass getting something ahem basic. Visit a local costume shop and rent one. Get your creative juices flowing, gather the materials and make one. Think outside the box and let current events & topics dictate what you are going to wear. You will be the topic of discussion at the party.

Bring something. No matter what party you go to, it's always nice to bring something to the host. Look at all they went through for their guests. Whether it's wine, beer, drinks, bottled water, a tray of sandwiches or dessert, it will be appreciated.

5. Halloween Vacation

Where would you like to go? So, you're going to take-off for Halloween. Where are we, I mean you going? Are you going somewhere within the United States? Internationally? So many places now are celebrating Halloween and having Halloween themed parties. Make a list of all the places you would like to go. I bet you will come up with many. Research and write down the Halloween activities that will happen at each place. What appeals to you?

What is your budget? What will be the length of your stay? Do you have enough vacation time? These are important questions as well. Write down the cost of your hotel stay (hotel, airbnb, vrbo etc) or can you stay with friends. You need to budget for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Will your stay be for the weekend or an entire week? If working, do you have enough vacation time to take this trip. These are all important factors that need to be considered. Estimate the cost for every place you would like to go for Halloween and from your list pick a place within your budget you would like to go. You want your trip to be a treat!

Traveling by car or plane? If your stay is drive-able, hop in your car and drive there. If not, try to book a direct flight to your destination (to avoid mix-ups and mess-ups). Take out insurance (hotel, flight) to protect yourself against cancellations. Pack lightly.

Have fun! Enjoy yourself! Once you arrive at your destination, enjoy all it has to offer. Ask trustworthy locals (hotel etc) about other events happening in the area. They may suggest something that you might have missed. Always keep handy, the telephone number and address of the nearest police station near your stay. It's sad, but in these times necessary.

I hope this guide got your brain juices flowing!

If you have any tips, please leave them in the comments below.

Have A Happy Halloween!

Improve Your Life & Feel Great With These Tips

Photo by George Milton from Pexels

You may feel like you’re just going through the motions lately and aren’t truly happy or energetic about the days ahead. In this case, it may be time to make a change and figure out a game plan for moving forward in a better and more useful direction.

Be glad to know that you have the power to turn your situation around for the better and get the most out of each new day with the right approach and healthy habits. Learn how to improve your life and feel great with these tips so you can be your best self and avoid getting stuck in a rut.

Establish A Routine

Improve your life and feel great when you establish a daily routine. Wake up at a decent time and groom yourself and get ready each morning. Eliminate distractions and focus on your work and then return home to prepare a nutritious dinner and relax. It’s wise you take breaks throughout your day to regroup and recharge as well. You might also want to find hobbies to engage in during your free time so you can avoid boredom. Routines allow you to know what to expect next and will help reduce anxiety as well.

Exercise More Frequently

Move more and exercise more frequently if you want to improve your life and feel great. Breaking a sweat is good for your mind and body and will help you have more natural energy. Make exercise a habit and you’ll soon reap all the rewards that come with it such as better mental health, a more toned physique, and your clothes fitting well. You have a lot of options when it comes to exercising such as going for walks or hikes, taking classes, running, and setting up a home gym with Weightlifting Equipment. You’ll soon be able to shed unwanted pounds, feel happier overall, and will be proud of yourself for getting that much closer to reaching your fitness goals.

Don’t Skimp On Sleep

Improve your life and feel great by never skimping on sleep. Sleep is essential to you functioning to the best of your ability each day. You can avoid feeling sluggish, moody, and drained when you go to bed at a decent time and wake up around the same time each morning. Set up your bedroom for optimal sleep and find a relaxing bedtime routine that slows your mind and body and helps you prepare for a good night’s rest. It’s one area of your life you can’t afford to ignore or neglect.

Engage In Self-Care Activities Daily

Spend time each day doing something nice for yourself that you enjoy and that makes you feel good. Engage in self-care activities daily so that you can take good care of yourself and ensure your health and wellbeing remain a priority. There are many ways to treat yourself kindly throughout the day such as by reading a good book, taking a warm bath, or laying down for a short nap. You’ll notice that your life quickly improves once you put your wellness first in line and don’t let stress and worry take over. You’ll not only feel great but will feel more energized and prepared to care for others as well.

Maintain Healthy Relationships

It’s also important that you socialize and maintain healthy relationships if you want to feel great and improve your life. Nurture the relationships you have while also making it a point to meet new people and friends if you have the desire. Make time for people you enjoy being with to help boost your mood and put a smile on your face. It’s also nice to have people who you can turn to when you need advice or input or someone to listen and be there for you. Spend time with people who lift you up and make you feel good instead of wasting time with those who are negative and drag you down.

Work On Boosting Your Confidence

Another tip that will help you improve your life and feel great is to work on boosting your confidence. When you’re confident in yourself then you’ll be more motivated to go after your goals and live life according to what you want to get out of it. If you’re lacking confidence then make it a point to take actions that help you practice self-love and reframe your thoughts and mindset. Work on your self-image and face your fears and the problems that may be the root cause for you continuing to feel self-conscious and unsure of yourself.

This post contains affiliate links. I get commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.

PR Sample: I'm a LIPSTICK GIRL! So I was more than happy to try Honest Beauty's Liquid Lipsticks in BFF, Happiness and Goddess. Honest Beauty's Liquid Lipsticks are offered in eight (8) shades. I showcase three (3) in this review. The other shades are Love, Fearless, Passion, Forever, and Off Duty. As I mentioned in my Honest Beauty Tinted Lip Balm review, their products are vegan, cruelty free, physician tested, and dermatologist tested. This liquid lipstick is MADE WITHOUT: Isododecane, Synthetic Film Formers, Silicones, Fragrances, Carmine, and Animal Byproduct. Honest Beauty's liquid lipsticks are made with Avocado Oil (moisturize + nourish) and Hyaluronic Acid (hydrate). The first thing I noticed about the formula of these lipsticks was how creamy and lightweight they were. They feel like a mousse. Application was really easy. I love the applicator, because the precision is so on point. This liquid lipstick is easy to apply. You can really control it. Another thing that impressed me, was how the liquid lipstick didn't lose its luster over time. The color never dries out or gets flat on the lips (don't you hate when that happens). So the luster always stays there (just look at my hand swatches below). No cracking. No flatness. Just beautiful color. Hyaluronic Acid plumps up your lips, but don't worry you don't feel a thing. This liquid lipstick just makes your lips look even better and fuller. No matter what color you choose, the color payoff is exceptional and long-lasting. You'll get a good 6-8 hours of wear from these lipsticks. And last but not least, the price point is really good. That matters! Like a natural looking lash? Be sure to check my review of Honest Beauty's Extreme Volume Mascara + Bold Lash Primer (purchase here). I'm wearing it below without the primer. It's a really good everyday mascara.

How To Feel More Confident About Your Body

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio from Pexels

Feeling confident in your body can be difficult, especially when you are constantly bombarded with images of "perfect" bodies in the media. However, it is important to remember that these images are often photoshopped and unrealistic. The good news is that there are many things you can do to feel more confident in your own body. This blog post will discuss some tips on how to love your body just the way it is!

Get rid of negative self-talk

One of the first things you can do to feel more confident about your body is to get rid of negative self-talk. If you are constantly putting yourself down, it will be challenging to feel good about yourself. Start by noticing when you have negative thoughts about your body and try to replace them with positive ones.

For example, instead of thinking, "I'm so fat," try "I am healthy, and I love my body." It may take some time to get rid of all your negative thoughts, but eventually, they will become less and less frequent. And when you do have a negative thought, don't beat yourself up over it! Instead, just let it go and focus on the positive.

Another way to get rid of negative self-talk is to avoid comparing yourself to others. Everyone is different and has a unique body type. Comparing yourself to someone else will only make you feel worse about yourself. So instead of looking at other people and thinking, "I wish I looked like that," try to focus on your own strengths and things you love about your body.

Dress for success

Another way to feel more confident about your body is to dress for success. When you look good, you feel good! So wear clothes that fit well and make you feel comfortable and stylish. Avoid wearing anything that is too tight or revealing. If you don't feel comfortable in something, don't wear it!

Also, pay attention to your grooming. Make sure you are clean and well-groomed. This will help you feel put together and more confident. Finally, remember that confidence is not just about how you look on the outside. It's also about how you feel on the inside. So even if you're having a bad day, try to fake it until you make it! Put on a smile and act like you're the most confident person in the room.

Get moving

Exercise is not only good for your health, but it can also help you feel more confident about your body. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which have mood-boosting effects. Exercise can also help improve your body image by making you feel stronger and more toned.

If you don't like traditional forms of exercise, there are plenty of other options to choose from. You can try yoga, hiking, dancing, or anything else that gets you moving and makes you feel good. The important thing is to find something that you enjoy so that you stick with it. And don't forget to celebrate your accomplishments! Every time you reach a new goal, give yourself a pat on the back. This will help you stay motivated and feel proud of your progress. Also, don't forget that you don't have to do it alone! Find a workout buddy or join a fitness class. This can help you stay accountable and make exercise more fun.

Make changes that are good for you

If you're not happy with your current weight, make changes that are good for you. Losing weight should never be about trying to fit into a certain size or look a certain way. Instead, focus on making healthy choices that will improve your overall health and wellbeing, whether it be consider breast augmentation by looking at a breast augmentation before and after gallery, or seeing a doctor about your weight loss options.

Start by cutting back on processed foods and eating more whole foods. Make sure you're getting enough protein, fiber, and healthy fats. And most importantly, don't forget to listen to your body! If you're hungry, eat. If you're full, stop. Trusting your hunger cues is an integral part of Intuitive Eating, which is an approach to food and body image that focuses on honoring your hunger and respecting your fullness.

In addition to making changes to your diet, there are other lifestyle changes you can make to feel more confident about your body. Getting enough sleep, managing stress and staying hydrated are all important for feeling good both inside and out.

Making even small changes in these areas can have a big impact on how you feel. So start with one or two and see how they make you feel. Remember, the goal is not to be perfect. The goal is to find what works for you and to do what makes you happy and healthy.

Seek professional help

If you're struggling to feel confident about your body, don't hesitate to seek professional help. A therapist can help you work through any negative thoughts and feelings you have about your body. They can also provide helpful resources and support.

If you're not sure where to start, there are many online directories that can help you find a therapist in your area. You can also ask your doctor for a referral. Remember, you don't have to go through this journey alone! There is help available if you need it.

Be patient

Finally, remember to be patient with yourself. It takes time to develop a healthy relationship with your body. So don't expect to feel 100% confident overnight. Instead, just focus on taking small steps in the right direction. And before you know it, you'll be on your way to feeling good about your body!

These are just a few tips on how to feel more confident about your body. Remember that confidence is something that comes from within. It's not about having the "perfect" body. It's about accepting yourself for who you are and loving yourself just the way you are. So be kind to yourself, dress for success, get moving, and most importantly, don't forget to celebrate your victories! You deserve it!

Honest Beauty Tinted Lip Balms: Review & Swatches

Disclosure: Honest Beauty PR sent me three (3) full-size samples of their Tinted Lip Balms in Lychee Fruit, Summer Melon and Dragon Fruit to review. All opinions in this blog post are 100% my own and honest. This post contains affiliate links. I get commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.

PR Sample: Who loves moisturized lips!?! I know I do! I also sometimes, like to have a hint of color on my lips. I mean, sometimes you just don't feel like wearing lipstick. So that brings me to today's review of Honest Beauty's Vegan Tinted Lip Balm & Moisturizer. These lip balms enhance your natural lip color. There's a lot to love about them! They are vegan, cruelty free, physician tested, dermatologist tested and MADE WITHOUT: Petrolatum, Paraffins, Parabens, Synthetic Fragrances, Silicones, Mineral Oil. Whew! That's a lot! Even the carton is made out of recyclable tree-free paper made with upcycled sugar cane. These lip balms ARE MADE with avocado oil (nourish) & pomegranate + acai extracts (antioxidant rich). These lip balms come in 7 beautiful shades: white nectarine (is a clear balm with a subtle shimmer), blood orange (gives lips a juicy red-orange tint filled with moisture), lychee fruit (shown below)(adds a flattering nude glow to chapped lips), fruit punch (is a creamy balm in a cheery coral-red shade), summer melon (shown below)(adds the perfect pink blush to bare lips), dragon fruit (shown below)(gives lips a delicious pop of fuchsia), and plum drop (is a hydrating balm in a deep purple shade). I really love all three (3) shades that were sent to me. The colors weren't loud or jarring. They looked natural and wearable. As you can see, they swatched very lightly on the back of my hand but the color really pulls through on the lips. They are also moisturizing! I found them to be very creamy and they protected the skin on my lips (and I have very dry lips). I love the packaging. It's very streamlined and each comes with a simple cap to protect the lip balm. As lightweight and sleek as these lip balms are, they can easily be transported in a small purse or your office drawer. Finally, you will love the price point! They won't hurt your pocketbook. You should definitely give them a try! I'm also wearing Honest Beauty's Extreme Volume Mascara + Bold Lash Primer (purchase here)(in the pictures below without the primer) that I reviewed the end of last month. I just wanted to see how the mascara looked without the primer. I think it looks very good! Very natural.

Bath And Body Works 2022 Halloween Collection

Not Sponsored: I love Fall! I love Halloween! I always look forward to seeing what Bath and Body Works has in store for the holiday season. I decided to pay a visit to my local store, to see everything in person. The #1 item on my list was the Witch Hand Pedestal that holds Bath and Body Work's single-wick candles. I purchased two (2) to place on opposite sides of my television/entertainment stand. The single-wick candles were on sale, so that made the pedestals even more encouraging to buy. I chose Pumpkin Carving, which is a nice aromatic blend of spiced pumpkin and brown sugar. I also chose Caramel Pumpkin Swirl. It's a gourmand delight of caramel, cinnamon, brown sugar and vanilla. I was most intrigued by the Water Globe Eye Pedestal, but restrained myself (barely). If you like crows or skeletons, there are also candle pedestals that feature those designs. With the BA.5 variant lurking everywhere, I decided to purchase the Pumpkin Milkshake PocketBac Holder. I was out the other day (at my local post office), and wished I had some hand-sanitizer with me (I didn't). So I thought, what a cute way to carry hand-sanitizer around. I chose the scent Enchanted Candy Potion as the hand sanitizer. It's a sweet pick-me-up of berries and pixie dust (think cotton candy). I may have to consider getting the room spray and candle in this fragrance, because it smells that good! Very FRESH. Very DELIGHTFUL. What else!?! What else!?! There are Black Cat PocketBac Holders and Wallflower plugs. If you're not into anything sweet, try Ghoul Friend, Spooky Cider Lane and Vampire Blood scents. Wash your hands! Wash your hands! Hand soaps were also on sale. I picked the classic Pumpkin Cupcake (pumpkin, vanilla frosting and golden honey) and White Coconut Caramel (coconut, hazelnut and caramel). Some other spooky items you'll find are the Monster Tree Nightlight (shown below), Evil Apple Nightlight, Haunted House Luminary, Witch Hand PocketBac Holder (shown below), Witches Cottage Nightlight Projector, Haunted Scene Nightlight, Noise Making Witch Hand (shown below) and Spider Branches w/Base.
