LORAC Take Me To TANtego Review and Swatches

This Summer ('17), LORAC Cosmetics came out with five (5) individual TANtalizer Buildable Bronzing Powders. I contemplated doing this post, because I purchased LORAC's TANtalizer Take Me To TANtego last Summer :) ('16) I'm going ahead with this review, because although it's not offered anymore, it might give you some insight into the quality of their bronzers (which I was curious about at the time). All the shades are very pretty and brown in the palette! Whenever you buy a bronzer, you hope they stay that way and don't pull orange on you ;) Well, I'm happy to say, these stayed true. These apply very light! I like that, because it gives you room to build up coverage and create the tan effect you would like to achieve. The two top shades, TAN Antonio and TAN Diego are matte. The two bottom shades, Cabo TAN Luca and TANta Cruz have a slight shimmer. I used all 4 below, using the shimmer shades on my cheeks. I loved them all. They really created a natural tan. This also came with an angled brush, which made application a breeze. Have you tried any Lorac Bronzers? I'm wearing Milani lipstick in D'Oro (36) below.

The Balm Betty Lou Manizer Review & Swatches And Recap of the Manizer Sisters

This week (yes, I know it's Wednesday LOL), I'll cover the rest of the bronzers in my collection (I only have 4 left)! Let's start with bad-ass Betty Lou! The Balm describes its Betty-Lou Manizer as a BRONZER! Well, it's a VERY PIGMENTED & SHIMMERY one! Betty Lou is a BRONZE, COPPERISH-GOLD shade. It's very pretty ... but because of the shimmer, I wouldn't put this ALL OVER YOUR FACE! Below, I used it on my nose, cheeks, lips and as an eye-shadow. It really complimented my medium skin-tone. I'm going to use it more as a highlighter.  I did some comparison swatching of some other bronzers I have in my collection. The only thing that I had, that came close to this was MAC x Mariah Carey's My Mimi. But even it is a little lighter. Betty Lou has some serious pigment-punch to her. A little will go a long way. I contoured my face using Tarte's Tarteist Pro Glow in SCULPT. I'm wearing L'Oreal's Pro Glow Foundation. To sum these sisters up, I think anyone can wear Mary Lou! Mary Lou is just UNIVERSAL. I wasn't too hip on Cindy Lou, but that's because of my skin-tone HaHaHa On someone lighter, it's a beautiful shade (but I still think there are other pink highlighters that are prettier such as; Pixi x Aspyn Ovard Rome Rose; Benefit Dandelion Twinkle and Benefit High Beam). The darker you are, the prettier Betty Lou gets! Realize in the picture below, I am VERY bronzed up! These sisters are also offered in a trio, but of course a smaller pan. So weigh your options. Have a great day!

The Balm Cindy-Lou Manizer Review and Swatches

The last highlighter in my collection is The Balm's Cindy-Lou Manizer ($24). Older readers may remember my Mary-Lou Manizer review. Mary-Lou is more of a champagne, "honey-hued' luminizer, whereas Cindy-Lou is described as a "peachy-pink" luminizer. Personally, I think it's more pink than peach; and baby pink at that LOL. I have it on my nose, cheeks and lips below. I don't wear a lot of pinks well, but I can use this as a blush topper for some of the pink blushes that do look good on me. This would look much better on pale to light skin tones. But even then, it's just ok to me. Mary Lou is still the winner in my book (at least for me). I'll be reviewing the third one soon! Betty-Lou!!! I'm just realizing Betty-Lou is a shimmering BRONZER and not a highlighter! So that should be interesting. Do you have any of the Lou sisters in your makeup collection? Thoughts? Hope you had a great weekend.

Tarte Cosmetics Stunner & Sparkler Highlighters Review and Swatches

Happy Saturday! Two more highlighter reviews (this weekend) you guys! I purchased stunner (opalescent) and sparkler (rose gold) by Tarte Cosmetics, because I loved their exposed highlighter which is an antique gold. Stunner and Sparkler are beautiful swatched, but there's definitely something you should know. Stunner is SUPER, FROSTY THE SNOWMAN! ICE ICE BABY! I can only see myself wearing this in the winter as a blush topper and maybe a little down the nose. It will look better on lighter skin tones. Sparkler is a rose gold. You may remember Becca's Rose Gold on me! I'm finding that rose gold has a tendency to blend into my skin tone. The Sparkler shade below has a bit of glimmer n' shimmer, so that is the only reason why it stands out on my skin. I'll have to pair it with some blushes, that I have in my collection. I give these a bittersweet rating, because they're limited to the type of skin tone you have...but I also feel you can do better with color choices from other brands in these shades. Highlighters can really be tricky! One does not fit all. One more highlighter review tomorrow. You can see all the highlighters and illuminators in my collection by clicking on the link.
