Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Review & Swatches

Twinkle ... Twinkle ... Little Star! Benefit Cosmetics came out with Dandelion Twinkle (Nude-Pink Powder Highlighter & Luminizer $29) the beginning of this year. I reviewed their Dandelion Lip Gloss and Dandelion Blush (Holiday Box O' Blushes) in the past. Over the years, I've become more smitten with both. I even went ahead and purchased a full-size box of the Dandelion Blush (very last picture shown below). Dandelion is a brightening face powder, but I love it as a blush. I'm not a big fan of many pinks on me, but Dandelion has always seemed to compliment me. It's soft & not too daring. It's grown-up and a great everyday Spring & Summer color. When Benefit came out with Dandelion Twinkle, I was a little skeptical. Would this highlighter be too icy-white for my skin-tone? Would it make me look ashy? I went to ULTA several months back and swatched it on the back of my hand (via my Snapchat averysweetblog). It was really pretty! It had just enough sparkle and wasn't over the top. I haven't reached for my Benefit Dandelion products a lot over the years (just every now and then). But now that I have all three products, I find them to really compliment one another and give a beautiful complete look. Is Benefit's Dandelion Twinkle something you must have? No. But if you already have the blush & lip gloss, swatch and give it a try! It creates a pretty look :) For the next two weeks, I'll be reviewing what's left in my highlighter collection. Have a great day everybody!

*I only see the Dandelion Gloss in the Dandelion Wishes Baby Pink Makeup Set on Sephora's website.

  9. Kim, I love this look on you. It's so soft and pretty! It's always nice when you get a new product and it works well with others already in your collection.

  10. I'm not a fan of Benefit's blush and highlighter packaging - it just seems so flimsy to me, even though I know that many people have said it holds up well over time. But the colours always looks so lovely that I feel more and more tempted to try them despite the packaging! These shades look gorgeous on you, Kim.

  13. I love highlighters that have a bit of a frosty tone to them because they make my cheeks look fuller (I have such a slim and narrow face) in photos, especially with flash, so I'm always looking for new ones to try. I'll have to keep this one in mind, it looks so pretty on you and definitely works well with your skin tone! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great start to your week so far; I can't wait to read more about your highlighters this week!
