Fifi Lapin, Tea and Me

Fifi Lapin, an hare-ss (heiress) to her father's fortune, is the quintessential rabbit. She's a socialite, loves fashion, and has her own blog & shop. What more could a rabbit-ista ask for? Fifi has been featured in popular fashion magazines and has collaborated with top designers on various projects. The lovely people at Iconemesis collaborate with industry's finest artists such as Fifi Lapin, and together they create beautiful iPhone covers for your cell phone. Iconemesis sent me this beautiful Fifi Lapin Teacup iPhone cover. Upon receiving the cover, it truly made me feel like a ritzy, glitzy, heiress.

As I sipped my cup of tea this weekend, I pondered about the word "heiress". An heiress, is a woman who inherits or expects to inherit great wealth. The dictionary equates great wealth with a very large sum of money. However, is it not possible for one to be rich and wealthy non-monetarily? Let's think about this.

Of course, we all need money to live in this world. Man has made it that way unfortunately. However, I think each of us have seen countless examples where large sums of money doesn't guarantee happiness for someone. I feel one can be equally as (if not more so) rich, wealthy and satisfied within when filled to the brim with such things as love, caring, sharing, kindness and giving. Ohhhh, my thoughts and teacup runneth over! Please have a confetti cupcake!

In conclusion, what I'm trying to say is that sometimes in life, it's the little things that matter. You may not be an heiress. You may not have an exorbitant amount of money. However, it's important to FEEL and THINK rich thoughts each and everyday. The kind gesture the people at Iconemesis did by sending me this pretty Fifi Lapin Teacup iPhone cell phone cover, put a BIG SMILE on my face. Every-time I use my phone, it makes me happy. I like looking at it. It was chilly outside this weekend, so I created a tea party for one inside. I filled a teacup with hot tea, read some interesting books, snacked on confetti cupcakes & sugar cookies and smiled at my cool new iphone cover. These are a few of my favorite things and they truly warmed me from within. How do you like my new cell phone cover? Take a look at Iconemesis' website for more beautiful iPhone cell covers. Plus they provide FREE shipping within the UK! Have a great week everybody!

Special Note: I'm praying for all of my European readers. The flooding sounds horrible.
I hope you get some relief from the rain soon.

So cute!!! Fifi Lapin is darling. And even though I'm not an heiress I always have rich thoughts....it's just the way I am! Now, if only I can get the money part to cooperate with my "rich" thoughts...giggle...

You and your little cupcakes, aha, I love it! That iPhone case is absolutely adorable! Tea and happiness, yes please! xo/M

This is such a profound post, Kim, and it came from such a simple place - an iPhone case featuring a cartoon rabbit. I loved reading it, and the pretty photos of tea, cookies and cupcakes didn't hurt, either ;) The idea of thinking rich, and feeling rich, even if you don't have a bank balance that would traditionally be associated with wealth, is something we could all benefit from doing more of... its the small blessings that really make our lives wonderful.

Such a sweet cover! I adore Fifi Lapin very much, too.
And yes I agree about the little moments - they are the ones that matter the most, it's all about the details and moments.
Have a beautiful day, Kim!

You are right, there are so many riches other than money! I wouldn't trade any amount of money for my little boy Cooper, he is our world!

Your iphone case is so cute - what a lovely gift. Beautiful photos too, your blog always makes me hungry Kim! I think I've said that before, but it's true!

I wonder if they do covers for other phones? Off to check them out!

Gorgeous and I agree. It's not the money you have that makes you happy, it's the great people in one's life! Value people over things. One can have all the money in the world, but if they don't have family and love, it's so lonely as money can't buy what lasts forever!! Love that cover :))) Have a wonderful week doll!! Gorgeous photos. I want a cupcake ;)) <3

I didn't know about this lapin brand Kim but your iphone case it's lovely, I will have a look on their website.
You are so right sometimes we are depressed about the amount of money that we don't have because we want everything but friends, family and health are much more important.
Loved your tea party post.
Have a great day.

Fifi Lapin is adorable and your words are so true. As you say, there are many examples where huge wealth has not brought people happiness. So far we have escaped the floods in this part of the UK in spite of the non-stop torrential rain - thanks for your kind words, Kim.

i didn't know who fif was before this post..but i agree one can be rich..at least happy even without shameless amounts of money..you need to be wise with the money you have and keep loads of people who love you in your life..

I agree with you -it is indeed possible for one to be rich and wealthy non-monetarily. That is why perhaps I am loving the tea cup and sweet biscuits more than the iPhone case :)) simple pleasure always gives me more happiness!
Although I must admit that the iPhone case is really cute !
Wishing you a wonderful day !

I definitely think that you can be have a rich life without being wealthy (monetary). Life is all what we make of it. Would I love to have a giant house, new cars, and as many pairs of shoes as my little heart desires? Sure. But what is all of that stuff if I can't have the things that matter most to me (my family, love, laughter, etc). :)

I love what you had to say about this and it's true that you only have to think rich or appreciate the little things in life to make you feel super rich!

Now, those cupcakes and cookies are making me crave sugar Kim!

Yup, currently in London, which hasn't been affected but everywhere else, it's just awful! In some places it's the worse since the flooding in 2000. :(
