A Kim-Opoly Tale

I felt like I was playing a real-life game of Monopoly the other day. I went to close an old bank account and as soon as I stepped out of my car, everything reminded me of the classic board game. I seriously thought a little man would jump out of no-where with his top hat on. HaHaHa

What did I wear on my bank run? Well as you can see, it's still pretty warm here. Scratch that! It's HOT!  HaHaHa I threw on a skirt, top and some flip flops. I purchased the top & skirt the beginning of Summer. I would link it, but it's no longer available. HaHaHa LOFT really gets rid of clothes fast. Even sale items. Their turnaround is super quick. I thought the black & white stripes would be cool to wear, in case the bank threw me in jail for taking pics HaHaHa :) At least I would look fashionable (in my OWN black & white stripes) The lady at the bank complimented me. She liked my style and classic look. So that felt good! That's me! Ms. Classic! I keep things to a minimum.

Ok you guys...I'm parked...I'm going in...Let's see if my mission was accomplished. I bet outside surveillance was saying, what the hell is she doing! Ohhh, what a blogger won't do to get pics for a post! LOL >.<

Whew! I made it IN! Now, would I make it OUT! LOL Of course, bank security cameras were everywhere. So I asked the lady that was helping me, if I could take a few pics of certain things. She said, sure! I asked because I surely didn't want to go to jail over taking pics for a blog post! LOL

The people at the bank were really cool. It's a local bank. I need to switch banks. HaHaHa My bank is so stiff & stuffy. I bank at a national bank. They would never go for anything like this. They would definitely haul me to jail. :)

Oh well! A wagon was decorated below (It had a Saints theme, which is our local football team) and I couldn't help but think about the wheelbarrow game piece in the Monopoly game and some other things.

As I waited for my transaction, I thought it was only going to be about $50 (it was truly a forgotten/dormant account). To my surprise it was $200. I had to SMILE! I wanted to yell MONOPOLY!!! LOL

I COLLECTED my $200 and they even gave me these cute magnetized football schedules for my refrigerator. I hope another bank contacts me and says I've forgotten about an account somewhere. LOL

Wishing you guys an awesome Monday! Remember, life is a game. Play It! Now I want a Candy Land experience! Guess I'll just have to settle for playing Snackopoly.

  3. hehe I really enjoyed reading this post, Kim! It broght me lots of memories from my childhood. I loved playing Monopoly and I would always choose the hat as my token.

It is always nice to obtain money unexpectedly. I once found a 20€ bank not in my pocket - which was something odd, because I never put money in my pockets - and I was over the moon with my newly found money, even if it wasn't that much :)

Nice outfit, wish I could still wear skirts and dresses, it is quite cold over here! Maybe I just have to figure out the winter way to wear skirts and dresses :p

Have a wonderful week, Kim! xoxo
