Philosophy Frosted Red Velvet Cake Body Wash & Sweet Creamy Frosting Lotion Product Review

Monday, December 9, 2013

Do you like red velvet cake or cupcakes? I love red velvet cupcakes with butter-cream or cream cheese frosting. They taste so good. I DOUBLE-DIPPED this weekend you guys! I baked a batch of red velvet cupcakes AND bathed in red velvet body wash! You know how much I love mixing food with beauty (and anything else for that matter). I just tried Philosophy's Frosted Red Velvet Cake Body Wash and Sweet Creamy Frosting Body Lotion. Suh-weet! I don't know which is better? All I know is I'm buying another box of this body wash & lotion ($16 USD) before it goes away for the holidays. Plus Philosophy is having a 30% off Friends & Family Sale right now until 12/12 (promo code: thankful4you). This is not a sponsored post. Just informing! I used my money to buy these :) Psst! I'll be reviewing another Philosophy holiday bath product tomorrow.
Take note my friends! BOTH of these products come in ONE cute little box! One is a body wash. The other is lotion. Why am I saying this? Because I thought both were body washes. HaHaHa It wasn't until I did this review that I found out otherwise. It's important to READ! LOL The Red Velvet Cake is the BODY WASH. The Sweet Creamy Frosting is the LOTION.Got it? Good!

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)

Red Velvet Cake Body Wash is Supersweet (Bottle 1/2)
I love this stuff! The scent of this body wash is awesome! I can pick up red velvet cake. However, if I had to describe it! I would say it's more chocolate covered cherries. That's what my nose picks up. No matter what your preference, you are going to love it! It also lathers well. It has a definite red color to it. So that can be a little funny to see when you're in your bathtub or shower. HaHaHa Just sayin!

Sweet Creamy Frosting is Supersweet (Bottle 2/2)
If I could rate this SUPER-DUPER SWEET I would! It's just that fabulous and off the charts! It's white, creamy, smooth and luscious! Yes! It's all that! I could dip my entire body in this stuff. It smells like buttercream frosting. It sinks into your skin and leaves it feeling moisturized. It's not heavy or sticky. Love! Love! Love! It has the perfect name. It's also the perfect "topping" after a shower or bath.

...and I baked red velvet cupcakes...they were delicious!

Haha the cupcake AND the product, nice. I have the chocolate one in my shower but it is a wee bit too sweet for me. I like spicy or floral.

I'm not a huge fan of red velvet cake - I mean, I never turn down cake, but I don't go crazy for red velvet :) This body wash is another story, though. I smelled it and fell in love! You're so right, there is something very chocolate-covered-cherry about it and I think that's what I love.
