Becca Cosmetics x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette Review and Swatches

Happy Friday Everybody! You may remember back in April when I purchased Becca's Sunchaser Palette, that I was excited for the Becca x Chrissy Teigen collaboration. I finally purchased the palette (ULTA) and surprisingly it has exceeded my expectations. I have a few quirks. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the packaging. Both the palette and the box mimics the funniest looking marble (rose gold, pink, yellow & white) I've ever seen. But I can deal with it. It's also a pretty substantial square-shaped palette (will fit your entire hand, from wrist to fingertip if you have large hands HaHaHa). Let's get to what I love. I love the sleekness of the palette and the real treasure is inside! It contains a substantial mirror for use and this palette contains two (2) highlighters (ROSE GOLD is OLD & BEACH NECTAR is NEW), a (1) NEW bronzer (MALIBU SOLEIL) and a NEW (1) blush (HIBISCUS BLOOM). As you'll see from my swatches, all the shades are very pigmented and lovely. I found they blended very well with my makeup. I bronzed my face with Malibu Soleil. I added Hibiscus Bloom to my cheeks. I used Beach Nectar on my nose and cupids bow. I used Rose Gold as a highlighter on my cheeks. They all really compliment one another. There has been a lot of discussion as to whether this was a dupe for the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Palette. They look very similar in the palette, but when swatched they are different. I re-swatched Jaclyn Hills for you below, so you can see the difference. Click on the link above to see my full review and compare pictures to this palette. The Jaclyn Hill gives me an entire different look. So I'm happy I purchased this palette. I love the colors. I love how it makes me look. It will be perfect for Summer. I feel this palette does a great job brightening me up. I wish the bronzer and blush were the same size as the highlighters! But I have a feeling (just a hunch), Becca may come out with full sizes of these (as they did with the Jaclyn Hill ones). Because the size of these (blush & bronzer) feel like "teasers" :D Just sayin! I'm probably wrong! HaHaHa Have a great weekend!

I also included a few Snapchat snapshots from the Becca x Chrissy Teigen launch party.
Various YouTubers (and of course Becca) were invited to Chrissy & John Legends house.
I loved the candy bar, pizza & fry packaging and pink footie pajamas. How about that donut wall?

  1. What a gorgeous collab! The palette is super pretty and I can see why you'd be reaching for this palette again and again this summer! Thanks for including the Snapchat shots from Chrissy's launch party by the way (I don't have snapchat!) - so much PINK haha :)

  3. I wondred why the blush and bronzer were so small in comparison, but your suspicion makes sense! Otherwise it would just be a little weird.

  4. The colors in this palette really warm and brighten your complexion up in such a gorgeous and natural way Kim! That would make sense about the blush and bronzer. No other reason they'd be that much smaller.

  5. The packaging of this palette is a bit odd, I have to admit, but it's still one that I was very excited about because I'm a big fan of Chrissy Teigen and I have to say, based on the result you got, it certainly lives up to my expectations - what gorgeous shades! They look so natural and lovely on you :)

  6. I have to be honest and say I agree, I don't like the packaging. I think the gold could've been made brighter and perhaps infused with some gold specs for a glam effect, which is what I think they were going for? But this is minor because when you purchase makeup, it truly is for the product, so I'm glad you're pleased with it and that it's not the same as the J. Hill, though they do look rather similar. Thanks for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!

  11. I am with you, Kim, I think they will release full size of the blush and bronzer too hence I am waiting for that/ It just didn't make any sense to have two huge ass pans of highlighters and itty bitty blusher and bronzer. I am waiting for the launch of the full size.

  17. I actually quite like the packaging, and the colors are gorgeous, but as soon as I saw their promos I thought that it looks a lot like the Becca x Jaclyn Hill. To be honest I'm tired of Becca re-releasing limited editions, I always fell for that "once it's gone, it's gone" trick :(

  22. The launch party looked awesome! I agree, at first glance, the colors look VERY similar to the Jaclyn Hill palette. Glad that they are different and that you are loving this despite the packaging.
