Tarte Limited Edition Peachy Glow Blush And Glow Review & Swatches

Hey Everybody! I have some new makeup I would like to review for you this week and next. First, is the Limited Edition Tarte Peachy Glow Blush and Glow ($30) duo. This Summer, I've literally been on the peach and orange hued makeup bandwagon! The colors just seem to agree with me. I'm always checking ULTA's New Arrival section and came across this cute compact. You're given a matte contour blush in peach and a highlighter in gold. I ordered this online and had to do a double-take when I got it, because it looks like warm pink in the pan. It did look a little more peachy when I swatched it on the back of my hand. Then when I applied the blush, it looked more pinky-peach on my cheeks. Any which way...I love the way it looks on me! The blush is highly pigmented, so a little goes a long way. It blends beautifully. The highlighter is a pretty antique gold. I applied it to the bridge of my nose below and cupids bow. Both really compliment one another. Are these two shades unique? No. But I was going through my blush collection and I don't have a similar color like this. So I'm glad I purchased this duo. This also comes in Rose Gold! I may get that as well, because it looks really pretty :)

  2. What a beautiful shade of blush, Kim! I admit, it definitely isn't the shade I expected based on the name of the palette, but I don't think that really matters considering how well the colour suits you ;)

  7. Kim!! I got the one in rose gold!! When I swatched the highlight in Ulta it was fine but I got mine home and the highlighter is seriously non existent when I swatch it. It doesn't show up on my brush either. But when I apply it to the face it's s pretty subtle sheen. I'm so confused, maybe I got a dud??
Anyways, these peachy shades are gorgeous, I love the shade of the blush! I think you'd like the rose gold one too. I'm obsessed with how cute the packaging for these are!

  9. I LOVE Tarte, it's one of the very few makeup brands I return to because I love their ingredient list and they seem to agree with my skin. I have to check this one out because I LOVE gold highlighters more than any other and this one looks gorgeous. We have similar skin tones, so I feel it would work well on me after seeing it on you. I also love the fact that the two are in the compact, so convenient! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and i hope you're having a great week so far!

  10. This looks great on your complexion Kim. I still haven't tried any Tarte products and I really want to do so soon as I've always read positive reviews about many of their products.

  11. Oh it's really very nice on you Kim! It's interesting that it looks s different in the pan and on your hand, but it really does give you a beautiful glow! :)

A new blush is on my list of things to get at some point - I like my current one (only one I have left from a giveaway you did a while back, turns out toddlers love destroying Tarte blushes, ha!) but it would be nice to try something more like my favourite from the pack which sadly met its end in the toilet....

I'll be sure to ask for any blush I look at to get tried on my face first to see! :)

Hope you are having a great start to the week :)

  14. Love this blush on you! It looks really fresh and natural. I would probably have to pass on this one though, the glow looks a bit too intense for my liking x
