Anastasia Beverly Hills Simple Summer Glam Snapchat Tutorial & Subculture Eye Shadow Palette Debacle

Friday, August 4, 2017

Hey guys! I wanted to share this Anastasia Beverly Hills Simple Summer Glam Tutorial with you. I saw it on Snapchat and thought it was such a beautiful look. How gorgeous is the model!?! Honestly, I think this look would look great for both Summer (nights) and Fall! It gives you step-by-step instructions on what ABH makeup & brushes were used to create this look. I love that Maple liquid lip gloss and Copper eye shadow. Speaking of Anastasia Beverly Hills! Have you been following her new Subculture eye-shadow palette debacle? It's the sister palette to her popular Renaissance eye-shadow palette. I watched countless YouTube videos yesterday and the reviews are not good. There are a few good reviews. So I don't know what is going on. Anastasia Beverly Hills doesn't really get bad reviews (especially on her eye-shadow palettes). So a lot of people are in shock. The two things that keep coming up are fall out and they don't blend. Some people are saying the palette is not for beginners, because of the dark, rich & bold colors. It was in my basket to purchase, but I'm holding off. I'll have a couple of sponsored posts for you this weekend (fashion, hairstyle tips). Next week, I'll be reviewing some new products I purchased. I'll be reading your blogs & commenting this weekend.

All the craziness over the subculture palette is nuts!!!! I won't be buying it but I do still love me some ABH products. And your right- this model is absolutely stunning!

I've never heard anything negative about her products either, so I'm shocked you've mentioned that! I haven't had much time these days to watch my YouTube videos like I typically would or else I probably would've stumbled across one of those videos. Anyway, this tutorial is beautiful, the golden highlight is gorgeous and I love that lip color, so different. Thank so much for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead, beautiful!

I love the highlighting! And I agree, that eyeshadow is beautiful :)

Such a shame the new palette is getting such bad reviews - maybe a bad batch? Probably not if a lot of people have problems.

Hope you are have a great weekend ahead of you Kim!

I really want to try the ABH blush trios. I wasn't that impressed with the color scheme of the Subculture palette. I'm not interested because it seems hard to use and too pigmented. If you put alittle too much, it's a sloppy mess. Http://www.mrsqbeauty.com

Stephanie Nicole who is one of the rare few YouTubers who I trust just posted a review on this palette and she said it's all down to one's preferred method of application and holy cow, did she got ravaged by a few commenters who said she is bias. I think this is a palette which is a lost case regardless. The majority have made up their mind to hate it which is such a huge shame.

This is a nice tutorial, and yes that model is gorgeous! I like how they show the products and brushes. The eyeshadow she's wearing is beautiful. I've had my eyes on those blush trios, I almost bought one but wasn't sure if I liked all three shades in the one I wanted. I'm kind of regretting not getting it! And I don't know what's up with that new eyeshadow palette! I've watched a lot of bad reviews too. It seems like the shadows kind of look muddy when you try to blend them. some tutorials I've seen the shadows kind of change to a weird color when layered. It's so weird because ABH has great products!

I have yet to try Anastasia Beverly Hills myself, but I've heard so many great reviews of their products and I love everything about this look! I have heard the controversy about the new palette and I admit I was very surprised since reviews of this brand are normally so universally amazing, but not every product can be a winner.

My modern renaissance is still my go-to but not planning on getting the new one. The fall out seems next level!

This look is so beautiful! I can't believe the drama around that palette. I rate their eyeshadows so highly, especially the ultra matte formula I think it's the best I've used. They've changed the formula for this palette which seems to be a shame, I know they are lighter colours so bound to be chalkier but some of the videos I've seen show the blending to be awful. And all that fall out? Not ok! I think I'm going to sit this one out which is a shame.
