Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser Review

Not Sponsored: For Christmas, my good friend from Little Luxury List blog sent me several popular Glossier products. I thought it was so sweet of her (she's a really genuine, nice and sincere person; she's always been a really good friend). I've been blogging since 2012, and have never tried ONE Glossier product. I've always wanted to try products from the brand, but always put them on the back burner because I didn't think they would work for my skin type. I have dry, sensitive and reactive skin. That's quite a combination and many times a lot of products don't work for me. So how did things work out? Surprisingly ... Really ...  Really ... Well! Let me cover each product separately in a blog post for you, because I have a lot to say about each one. One of the products that she sent me was Glossier's Milky Jelly Cleanser. I've been using this cleanser for a little over a month now and I am super impressed. On Glossier's website it states it is a pH balanced daily cleanser that has five skin conditioners. Whenever I see jelly or gel, I automatically think the cleanser is super-drying. That has been my experience in the past with gel cleansers. Well NOT the case with this cleanser. It's anything but drying. It's pretty thick and adheres well to the face. I used it on wet skin (face), applied it in circular motions and rinsed. My skin felt thoroughly CLEANSED (not stripped whatsoever ... there is a difference). After a month of using this, my skin never felt dry. I never experienced any redness or irritation. Just great clean and supple skin! This cleanser can also be used to remove makeup. You can use it on dry skin. I love that this product is Vegan and Cruelty Free. This cleanser also has an excellent price point. So what held me back from giving it a Supersweet rating? I use REN Skincare, and their Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk (Bloomingdales, Sephora, Revolve, Selfridges) helps keep my breakouts under control. It seems to be the only cleanser so far that keeps my adult acne at bay. Yes, I'm 49 and still have break outs. Also, Glossier states their Milky Jelly Cleanser is Ophthalmologist Tested (the same gentle cleansing agents found in contact lens solution make it safe for eyes) and won't cause irritation; but I beg to differ. I had to keep my eyes tightly closed while using this cleanser, because one time it did sting my eye. But other than those two things, it did an excellent job. I was really impressed and would purchase this cleanser on my own. Its really good. Definitely give it a try!
