Beauty vs Brains Tag

Susannah from Sparkle2Day blog tagged me in a Beauty vs Brains TAG.
You can definitely have BOTH! Below are my answers.
I Tag: Kizzy of The Dainty Dolls House, Jo of White Roses and Coffee, Kat of Nails My Dreams

Favourite Book?
Memoirs of a Geisha. It's about inner desires that are hindered due to poverty, death, jealousy and abuse. It's about prayer, faith, having dreams and never giving up on those dreams. Awesome read. I read the book in three days. I couldn't put it down.

Favourite Quotation?
If you can't see the forest for the trees, then chop those motherfuckers down. P.Diddy I prefer electric saw, but chopping sounds like good exercise :)

English or Math?
I was never a fan of either (or is it neither...just kidding). HaHaHa

Science or Art?
I love art and art history. I'm just not good at making things (or it takes me awhile). I'm a science girl. My bachelors degree is in Biology & Chemistry. My masters degree is in Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Policy.

Favourite and Least Favourite Subject At School.
Favourite = History
Least Favourite = Math

If You Could Study Anything, Anywhere, What Would It Be?
1. Peggy Porschen Patisserie School - She makes the most amazing things. Everything is so beautiful.

2. Acting. I always wanted to play La Femme Nikita. Hmmm, La Femme Kim!?! LOL

What Is Your Nerdy Little Secret?
I can cross-stitch.

Beauty Gurus you admire for more than their love of fashion/beauty.
Too many to list! I admire so many of them.Beauty Bloggers inform me of new products and I save money with their reviews. Gotta love beauty bloggers.

If your blog couldn't be focused on beauty/fashion, what would be the focus instead?
Travel! I would love showcasing THE WORLD!

Name 5 musical artists that changed your life. I couldn't narrow this to 5. I came up with 16 artists. Each one played a huge part in my life. Notice I was very influenced by THE BRITISH! Below started off pretty, but it's really late now and I'm super tired. So excuse how the font just got bigger and bigger. I'm usually very particular, but GUESS WHAT!?! SHIT HAPPENS. LOL

  1. Oh, fabulous! Loved learning something new about you. Biology and Chemistry?! I'm seriously impressed! Especially since I was really (really, really) bad at any science - what can I say, I've always been more of an artist ;-)

  2. i would totally be la femme nikita, too! loved the original movie with jodie foster (was it her, lol?).

  4. You can absolutely have both beauty and brains - in fact, if you don't, once the first one fades (as it does for everyone), what are you left with? Not much! It was really fun to learn a bit more about the woman behind the blog, thanks for sharing this, Kim :)

  5. Hey Kim I loved this post so much, I've booted up my laptop to respond. Loved your quote LOL. Wasn't expecting that. You have a Masters degree? Me too! High five :D. I told hubby he had to call me Master but he's a bad sport and won't do it. I hope you're using your degree, because I'm not using mine. You and I have listened to a lot of the same music. I grew up listening to Kenny Rogers and Rod Stewart as my Mum was a big fan. As a little kid, my favourite album was Off The Wall by Micheal Jackson. Later my family got into Sade and Mariah Carey. I like Norah Jones and Adele too but my problem is I love my fav songs but can't listen to the rest of the album. As for Enya, agh you have got that irritating Sail Away, Sail Away song in my head now! Thanks for this great response to the tag, and thanks for the great big sparkle2day banner!!!

  7. That quote is now my mantra! I, too, have a Master's. Mine's in Public Admin. I think you and I have discussed the "joys" of working in this realm a time or two, haven't we? Auditors, regulations, compliance--oh joy! Heh Heh ;) Your taste in music is so very in sync with mine. Lady, you are a beauty, and so is your mind! xo T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

I knew you were going to tag me before I even looked, hahahaha!! I love these though, so I will most definitely do it!! Have myself a good think ;) Duran Duran, I still love them...I remember they were all over my bedroom wall & I kept saying I was going to run away to England and marry one of them...haha. I was like 6 or 7, hahaha!! Didn't realise at the time how much older they were than I was, but I didn't care, haha!! This is going to be fun!! Have a great day doll xox

  11. So nice reading more about you Kim! Well done on getting your masters too, I'm always so awed at people who do that. As soon as I got my bachelors that was it, I vowed never to return to uni, haha! I still go on courses through work, but exams are not something I enjoy, so no more school for me!
Although I did meet hubby at university, so I guess it wasn't all bad....haha

  15. I love the Memoirs of a Geisha too, for all the reasons you mentioned. Not a fan of maths, and I did love my sciences in high school although I went down the idealistic 'media' pathway in uni. And yes to michael jackson - he would be in my top 5!

  25. Kim, this is such a fun post! You definitely have beauty + brains girl! I also couldn't put down Memoirs of a Geisha the first time I read it. I was totally riveted by the story. I was a shame the film wasn't anywhere as good. I've never heard hat quote before but it's really awesome! And I loved Brit pop so much as well!
