Mirror, Mirror

How do you feel about mirror metallics? I feel if you wear too much, you either start looking like a disco ball or aluminum foil. I picked silver for this post, but they do come in an array of colors. Color helps, but then you have to make sure it doesn't come across cheap looking - ya' know. You also have to worry about scratches. Oh, my brain hurts with this one. Tell me how you feel! Let's all just sing 'Mirror Mirror' by Diana Ross now :)

  1. I know what you mean Kim, I love metallics but I also think some of the heels I've seen can look a little cheap. I'm all for it if there's not too much in one outfit. I love those #9 sandals. They look so comfy too!

  2. I really like them, but I think I would use them in the smallest detail, so it's not overboard. I would hate it head to toe anyways, haha. But, I like the shoes and nail polish, they are lovely. But, it would be annoying if you scratched any of these things because you would see it right away and then that would annoy me because I can't not look at stuff like that, haha!! But, pass over those brogues because I love them :))))) Have a super day doll :)

  3. P.S. you could use the nail polish to create a cool sci-fi inspired outfit...this is what all of this makes me think of, the sci-fi channel, hahaa!! ;-)

  4. I love metallic accessories! Big fan of those! :)

Really like the Rachel Zoe sandals in #8 :) Not sure about the metallic nails though, I have a metallic nail polish and I just haven't worked up the courage to try it yet, haha!

  5. I'm with Dale and love #9! Metallics definitely need to be designed and styled tastefully or it just looks like you walked out of a bad '70s movie!

  6. Ha ha... the Diana Ross comment. Some pieces remind me of the mirror suit. Do you recall the one used in that dance track and they shone lights on it? Total reflector bling! A little bit of silver accents can be nice but they definitely have to be elegant looking pieces.

  9. I also like this trend when applied sparingly. I could definitely see me wearing the #6 and #9 shoes--and carrying that Coach bag, too. :) Have a fab "little Friday!" xo T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  11. In small doses I think this trend works. Think all white or all black outfit with a fun pair of metallic heels. You picked some great items!

  12. I like metallics but I'm more into gold lately - and always scared of looking too cheap!
Nice selection, I really like the Delman sandals :)
    Have a great day, Kim!

  13. Hi Kim! Agree with you, love metallics and mirrored effects but pay attention to not wear much, otherwise the risk to look like a disco ball is sure! Nice finds, what I love most are the nail polish and the oxfords! Kisses dear! xo

  19. I always wished I can pull off metallic looks. I mean, I usually look like a Tin Man/sausage hybrid or something when I tried on a metallic dress. Hahaha. Definitely not for my figure. But those shoes look good. Maybe I'll try it again. Hihihi.

  26. I think metallics work together if it is only one or two things. Maybe even in different shades? Like the nail polish and some silver shoes. Or a silver top and blue metallic eye shadow? Good stuff for fall I think? :)

  27. I have seen a lot of silver and chrome accesories lately that I want to get something myself. 28. I'm a big fan of metallics and consider them a neutral but I find mirrored finish metallics a little tricky. Like you said, they can across cheap and then you have to worry about scratches. I do love your picks though. I have pair of shoes that are similar to #5 (which I can't wear right now) and #9 is super cute!

Thanks for all your support regarding my ankle Kim! I'll be good about wearing my brace :)

  34. Do you think if you wear enough you could make contact with extra terrestrials? Ha! If that were the case my mother would be a walking disco ball. But aliens aside a bit of metallic sheen is definitely a do!

  40. Yes, you definitely don't need to wear it from head to toe, but I do love bits of metallic. #5, and #8 in particular need to be in my life! haha! :-) Have a great weekend Kim. xx/Madison

  41. these metallics are so cool for summertime with a bit of bronze tan :)

  42. I really dig the look! But I'm not sure I'd wear it myself. I'd be most likely to wear the nail polish, if anything. That's about as daring as I get, haha.

  48. One silvery mirror accessory will be fine for me to wear. So either the nail polish or the shoes. They are a neutral colour though which can match with any outfit. Looks very chic!

  49. I get you kim... Metallics can be awesome if you will use it to give a twist or edge to a rather boring outfit... But using an all-metallic outfit from your shoes to your headband, that will be an eye sore... Sorry but that is justthe truth... There are fashion rules that are illogical but some are spot-on correct... :-)

  51. I think small accessories in silver can be fun, like a pair of shoes or something. But you're right too much just make you look cheap or like you've been living in space. I hope you're having a great weekend!

  54. I actually like this metallic trend but only on oxford shoes =D I think they're cool but definitely got to be aware that one shouldn't over-do it. Just carry only 1 metallic item. That's in my opinion =)
