Tetley Black & Green Tea Product Review

This is a product review for Tetley Tea. It was designed & written by A Very Sweet Blog.
All opinions are 100% my own.

I was given a box of Tetley Black & Green Tea to sample. It was nice to receive, because I enjoy drinking tea and I especially enjoy drinking tea during colder months. Tetley is also a brand that is well known. They are the largest tea company in the United Kingdom & Canada, and the second largest in the United States. They've been in existence since 1837. (source)
I love that Tetley combined both black & green tea. Both are good for you. Some benefits of green tea include, reduction of heart disease, blocking the oxidation of LDL (bad cholesterol), increase of HDL (good cholesterol) and improvement of artery function (source). Some benefits of black tea include, protection of cells from DNA damage, a lower risk of ovarian cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol, kidney stones and Parkinson's disease. There's also the benefit of reducing atherosclerosis and the risk of heart attack (source). I do want to note that black tea can increase blood pressure (so moderate consumption is key).

Tetley Black & Green Tea is SWEET!

How did it taste? It had a really nice taste to it! Remember, it's not sweet tea...it's HEALTHY! I've had both types of teas before (green & black), but never together. The blend of both flavors was very smooth. The tea is very light. Some other things I want to mention: this tea has ZERO calories, fat, sodium, and proteins. The total carbs are less than 1g. Tea is becoming more and more popular! Look to hear more about tea in 2014! I've been reading about it! "Big tea drinkers like Japan and China, have much less heart disease and don't have certain cancers that we in the Western world suffer" Weisburger. (source) So take out those teacups and have a cup or two! :)

  1. There are so many benefits to tea, but I just can't get past the taste, haha. I just don't like it, not a tea drinker. Or a coffee drinker.

Hope you have a lovely weekend ahead Kim! :) Glad you liked Cooper's little costume! :)

  3. Hey Kim! I'm sorry I've missed out on what you've been up to this week. I'll have to catch up. This Tetley Black and Green tea sounds great. I can't handle green tea on it's own, no matter how good it is for me, but I've got a feeling I'd enjoy it with black tea which I like. Have a great weekend! sparkle2day.com

  4. Wonderful doll. I do love the Tetley tea, the adverts here are so sweet for it, I always love when they come on, haha. I usually only drink green tea or white tea since it's better for you. But, I have had them mixed like this & it's really lovely too, I need this one when I want to dip my cookies in it as it doesn't work too well with just green tea. Am glad you enjoyed it doll. Happy Friday, I hope your Halloween was fab...I finally saw Dracula last night & I loved it, haha! I need the whole series in one go though, don't know how I'll last to wait each week, but it is great!! Have a super weekend xx

  5. Great review, Kim! I am a tea drinker--generally, green and herbals. But, as of late, I've begun to sip the black teas, too (I need that added jolt of caffeine, perhaps!). xo T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  6. Morning Kim! I am a big tea drinker as well, especially love to drink green tea (one cup a day), especially cause it is healthy but I also like the flavor (though many dislikes it). I never heard about this brand you know but the product you got inspires a lot since I never had both flavor (black and green) together, so I'm curious to know how it is. From your words, I bet I will like it, plus is good for health:) Happy Friday my dear, kisses! xo

  12. I don't think I've ever had black and green tea blended together but it's a great idea since both have their distinct health benefits. I'll have to check this one out. I don't ever drink coffee but I do drink copious amounts of tea daily. Have a great weekend Kim!

  17. Must confess!!! Babes i hate herbal tea either black, green or pink. But after reading so many reviews and benefit. I packed them in my cupboard like designer clothes. Am not gonna lie, i try as much as possible to visit a wonderland with candies while zipping any herbal tea. You need to see me on the day i tried Red bush from Tetley i felt like my teeth was stuck in a tree branch. I couldn't eat all day. Am going to give this a try if i find it in my local store.
Have a very sweet weekend babes..

  19. I LOVE coffee, for reals, but I have been drinking more tea lately! It is awesome this time of year too. I will have to keep an eye out for this, so cool that they mixed black and green tea!

  20. Would you believe i had never heard of this brand? then again, i am more of a coffee person...

  21. I know green tea is supposed to be REALLY good for you. I have to drink the decaf version via steam, b/c the regular has too much caffeine for me and gives me palpitations. But I love it!

  24. Great review Kim and you're so smart to drink tea because it is so much healthier. I usually add a bunch of honey into mine so I'm glad you say this is not sweet tea, and I've never heard of this brand so thank you for sharing!

  28. I'm a tea drinker but recently I've been receptive to coffee too. I've not drunk black and green tea together and I wonder if the taste would sit well on my palate.

  31. I know that they say there are so many benefits to drinking tea, but I just haven't been able to find a tea that I like. In last few months I have tried several kinds and just haven't liked any of them yet.

  34. Oh interesting! I've never heard of the mixing of two prime teas before. It's usually some exotic tea mix that catches my eye- like green tea with chamomile berry jojoba. (Totally made that up)
I wonder how it would taste as a milk tea!

    Hope you'e doing well, Kim!!
