LUSH The Kiss Lip Scrub & Prince Charming Shower Gel Review & Swatches

I purchased a couple of products from LUSH's Valentine Collection. Below are my thoughts.

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)

LUSH The Kiss Lip Scrub - Bittersweet
Beautiful hot pink color (scrub). Edible red hearts. Colorful sugar sprinkles. Fruit punch scent. Sweet taste. Adorable packaging. Those are the things you INSTANTLY fall in love with! This lip scrub is both pretty to look at and fun to use for the month of February (which it's marketed for). Now, how does it perform? It does a pretty good job exfoliating your lips and tastes good, but I personally prefer LUSH's Bubblegum Lip Scrub over this one. I think the scent is better and it seems to exfoliate & moisturize better than this one (the sprinkles are fun to look at, but they kind of get in the way of exfoliating). Also, use LUSH's lip scrubs in a timely matter, because I find they gradually dry out. My favorite lip scrub, is still from Sara Happ.

Let's just say, I'm glad I purchased a small bottle of this shower gel. HaHaHa Cute name. Pretty pink color. Lathers well. Moisturizes? Hmmm. Sort of. LOL If you're a fan of pomegranate juice (the scent, NOT the taste), then you will like this. It says it has marshmallow and vanilla in it, but I didn't detect it. Maybe because I purchased the smallest size, they left those two things out. HaHaHa I expected something sweeter and honestly more feminine. It comes across a little MUSKy for me. I'm using mine as hand wash. LOL This didn't "sweep me off my feet" (i'm using it, but i don't love it). I truly feel it's a matter if you like the scent or not (that's the deal breaker). Some people love it! But it's not for me. Sorry Madu and Arnel! No love connection, but you packaged everything beautifully! HaHaHa Have you tried these?

  5. That lip scrub looks so sweet Kim! :)

Shame you didn't like the scent of the shower gel - and that it doesn't do what it says on the label. Just as well you only purchased a small bottle! :)

  7. Im glad to read your opinion about the scrub Kim 'cause it was onto my wishlist and now not so sure I would like it after all. The shower gel didnt inspire me either, we have common taste and I think I wouldnt enjoy that scent too! Happy Wed Kim! xo

  9. Love how you specified the scent of pomegranate, not the taste, lol. Because when I was reading it I was thinking how much I enjoyed eating pomegranate but wasn't a huge fan of the smell haha. Also, it sucks how mediocre these products were. So many bloggers have hyped up Lush but I'm still trying to decide if it's worth the price. What's your favorite products from them?

  10. I love Lush, but I'm going to pass on these. Besides, homemade lip scrubs are too easy; I wouldn't buy an expensive one, personally.

  11. I have such mixed feelings on Lush products. I love their bath bombs, but everything else I've ever bought, I've either come away with something that didn't smell at home the way I thought it had in the store or spoiled before I'd even used half of it because of the freshness. Sounds like it doesn't matter if I give the Valentine's Day line a pass this year, anyway ;)

  12. LMAO at your comment about Lush leaving out the marshmallow and vanilla because you got the small bottle. How dare they?! ;-)

Great and honest review, Kim but I've come to expect that from you as I know you'll never steer your readers wrong. I won't be picking up both but then again, I'll never purchase lip scrubs because it's just too easy to make it at home and cheaper too! What can I say? I'm ahem! frugal. :-P

  14. Too bad you didn't like either of these Kim!! I will agree on that lip scrub looks cute but I can see the sprinkles and stuff getting in the way. I have the mint one from lush and it's super dried out like you said! I want to try the bubble gum one next though!

  15. I LOVE Lush, but they can be so hit-or-miss. I am a huge fan of the free samples, because it is either all or nothing with them.

  17. I haven't tried either of these but they seem to be cute novelty products for Valentine's Day. A shame that you were disappointed. Like you, I prefer feminine fragrances and one scent I don't particularly like is musk so the shower gel is definitely not for me!

  23. I want to love LUSH but I find a few things I have tried I did not love And the fact that the products are not cheap makes me not want to go back
I love the idea of natural and such but I just don't know. Interesting to see you were not in total love with these items. Always good to try yourself as someone may really love it

  33. I did not expect to read this about Lush - I guess even if the products did not pass the bar the marketing did. Its so sad when I see product that ha all the marketing and not the soul. Then again its worst when the product has it all but does not stand a chance because of packaging or bad communication.
