Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour with Comfort Serum Skin Perfecting Full Coverage Foundation Classic Beige (201) Review And Swatches

PR SAMPLE - Somebody sign me up to be a character on The Living Dead television series or movie, because that is the way Rimmel London's Lasting Finish 25 Hour with Comfort Serum Skin Perfecting Full Coverage Foundation (201 Classic Beige) made me feel! HaHaHa I was sent this foundation to try and I dislike it on so many levels. One, it smells like perfume. It really does! I don't see the point of having such a strong fragrance in a foundation. Is someone going to sniff my face? Two, there's no pump. It's in glass packaging and pours, but I can foresee hitting this like a ketchup bottle trying to get the last drop of product out. Don't even mention traveling! Three, it only comes in 10 shades and the shades that are offered are not complimentary to minority complexions! I was sent classic beige and after application my skin looked GREY, ASHY and DEAD! I immediately thought of Michael Jackson (as a zombie) in his Thriller video. Four, they say this is full coverage! I applied three layers in the pictures below. What do you think? They mention 'comfort serum'? What is that? Five, the only thing I will give this foundation, is that it will last 25 hours! When you apply it, work quickly because it becomes tacky (sticks). I had to use cleansing water, oil and cleanser to remove this foundation from my face. What I'm not getting is why 25 hours? There's only 24 hours in a day! Am I Cinder-frickin-rella and need a day PLUS an hour for foundation to hold? C'mon! Oh YOU KNOW what grade I'm giving this foundation! *For the record, I have dry skin and I didn't use a primer with this foundation.

  1. Lol Kim Thanks for your honest reviews and this one made me laugh! It's too bad that this foundation didn't work well for you. I don't think I would like this foundation either because of the perfume scent. I don't get that either about the 25 hours when it's 24 hour in a day!

  3. thanks for the honest review! haha it made me laugh, particularly the michael jackson comparison and photos! I've had similar effect with a BB cream, it was horrible! lol
at least they sent it to you and you didn't spend money on it! :) that sucks they didnt have a good range of shades, and i would hate the bottle without a pump!

  4. Oh geeze! I hate bad foundations lol!!! I feel like I've heard good things about this one from people too! Shame it didn't work for you. I probably won't be trying it. And I hateeeeee it when foundations have a perfume scent. It's so gross

  5. Yikes. That is no bueno. I've never tried their foundations, I use their bronzer and swear by it but I do use it more for everyday as opposed to using my special more expensive one lol. Recently I tried one of their mascaras and I wasn't too excited by it and I wasn't disappointed either. I think I'll just stick to their bronzer and kohl pencil.

  6. Lol thank you for the honest review! Although it did give a more even toned complexion it sure is one strange ashy grey tone! Loved this post!

  9. haha oh dear Kim, that really is not a good look on you! Thank goodness you didn't pay for the pleasure too! I did get a giggle out of it though - at least it's an interesting story to tell people, not all bad! :)

I'm going in next week to get a makeover and pick a new foundation, I know to steer clear of this one, what a pain to remove and what terrible coverage!

  10. 10 shades is definitely not enough shades for everyone! maybe it would work better for people with oiler skin

  11. LMAO! You really made me LOL early in the morning, Kim! Is this a new version of the original Lasting Finish? I like the original version that comes with a pump but had no idea Rimmel has this with comfort serum (wtf is that anyway?). Thanks for the good morning chuckle, Kim!

  12. As always, I adore your candid assessments, Kim! With all the focus on luminous skin these days, products that produce an ashen effect would not appeal to most (me included). Hugs on your week! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  13. Haha! Entertaining review. 25 hours is a mystery. I have not tried any Rimmel cosmetics but now know to stay away from their foundation. Glass is an accident waiting to happen with me since I have a tendency to drop things!

  14. This literally had me laughing, in the time i've been reading your blog, I don't think I've witness you dislike a product so intensely haha! I don't understand why it's perfumed either.. curious!

  16. I remember I was once very curious about Rimmel, years ago, but then I met a girl who worked at Rimmel and she talked me out of buying anything from the brand - and she WORKED there, that certainly said something about the quality.. x

  17. You are so funny Kim! But thank you for the honest review. The product doesn't look good at all.

  18. Ha ha, oh Kim, your bad reviews aww even better than your good ones - I laughed at this! I had a similar foundation from Cover Girl; no pump, weird smell, ashy finish. Sometimes with drug store products you can hit the jackpot but a lot of the time you get what you pay for and it sounds like that was the case here.

  19. While this is may not the foundation for you, you totally had me cracking up with this review Kim! One big drawback with alot of drugstore foundations is the lack of range in shades but this sounds like it had somae major problems beyond that. Thanks for your honesty!

  22. Haha, yikes ! I certainly don't want to look like MJ.
Too bad this did not work out, I've always thought Rimmel has good products at reasonable prices.

  23. Oh, my! It did make your skin look gray. I haven't tried a Rimmel foundation before, but I did like the Complexion Perfection concealer. It sounds like they need to make more colors.

  24. These Michael Jackson zombie picks are killing me! ;-D It sucks that the shade range is not good. Thanks for the honest review Kim. xxx

  25. Hahaha, love your comparison with Michael! Looks really kinda ashy on you, Kim! At least you have Too Faced! ;) Don't like this bottle too - and this is make up?? No way!! :D
