Lorac Pro Matte Eye Shadow Palette Review & Swatches

I've never tried Lorac. Have you? The Lorac Pro Matte Eye Shadow Palette is my FIRST Lorac purchase. I was always pretty intimidated by the brand, because they would come out with these huge eye shadow palettes. I never purchased them, because I never knew what to do with all of those eye shadows. HaHaHa Plus I've never been a big eye shadow girl. I love my lipsticks! I decided to face my eye shadow fear this year, by purchasing and trying more eye shadow palettes. Next year, I would like to work on application and technique. So that brings me to why I was attracted to this palette! It's small and fits into the palm of my hand. It's perfect for travel, easy to carry and fits into my purse. It's neutral & matte, with plenty of beiges and browns. How can you mess up those colors? LOL Two shades caught my eye! A beautiful ballet pink, named PINK MAUVE. It reminded me of the Nails Inc. nail lacquer Next To Nothing by Alice + Olivia I recently purchased. The other haute color at the moment in makeup (especially eye shadows & lipsticks) is BURGUNDY! The pigmentation of these eye shadows are really good. No powdery mess here (read yesterday's post LOL). The feel of the packaging is sleek and sophisticated. Great functional mirror. It's super lightweight. It's a great everyday palette. The only complaint I have, is I can see the cover and inside packaging getting stained with eye shadow. HaHaHa It seems to be a magnet for it. I haven't tried cleaning it yet. HaHaHa But overall, I'm impressed with Lorac. Let me know your thoughts on this brand. Wishing you an awesome day :D

  1. I haven't tried any eyeshadows from Lorac yet but man those swatches look beautiful! I love that this is an all matte palette as well, I'm going to stop into Kohls this week now and see if they have this because there's so many people on my Christmas list that would love a palette like this :) Nice and neutral for everyday.

  4. I love this palette is the one I take to my travels and I also love the contour palette addicted. But I have to agree about this eyeshadow palette the packaging get so dirty and is hard to clean.

  6. Linen and mayyyybe bare are my perfect fit. I've used white lipstick for concealer and use this old brand powder (my great grandma used it, so 'old' like when trains were made). Only powder light enough...I'm so pale, but this pallet looks natural enough for myself. Also, if it's no powdery mess I'm in!

  7. Never heard of them before! I like small compacts that I could carry with me if I needed and the colours on the test arm look strong as well. Super :) x

  12. Like you, I have yet to try anything from Lorac but have read so many good things about the brand. I don't need another palette but I might pick this one up because the colours and pigmentation is looking really good!

  13. I've actually been intrigued by Lorac for sometime. I have the UD Naked palette, which is why I have not purchased this palette, but it definitely looks so good. I've only heard positive things.

  14. I tried Lorac many years ago and found the brand a bit... uneven. I bought a giftset to try a variety of products, some of which I loved and some of which I absolutely hated. Lorac isn't easy to find in Canada so I haven't given their products another try since, but I admit that I do love the look of this palette :)

  16. I have the first Lorac pro palette and I love it. It's one of my favorites and one of the best quality shadows I've tried! I've actually thought about fetus this pro matte one that you're showing Kim! It's so pretty and I love matte shadows. I've also wanted the pro to go, that comes with a few shadows and the blush and bronzer in it! Lorac is a great brand from what I've tried from them!

  17. I looks like such a nice palette! Sadly the shades don't look that original to me, somehow it's a mix of the Chocobar palette by too faced, and Monarch by Kat Von D... So it's not something I'd rush to get, but still, I'd gladly accept it as a gift! Thank you for the review ~

  18. I can't say I've actually tried any Lorac products but I always see them around Kim. This palette is a nice compact size and each and every color looks pretty and wearable. Glad to hear it's a winner for you :)

  19. I am not a big fun of eye shadow colors too (or I just don't know the right way to apply them!)
    I love those warm shades!

  20. I haven't tried Lorac either. And I'm a huge fan of eyeshadows. I love small palettes though. I like very much the burgundy of this palette. I think you have such beautiful features you can play with makeup a little bit more. Looking forward to see you wearing these shadows! Baci, Coco et La vie en rose fashion blog - Valeria Arizzi

  21. I only have the Lorac Pro Palette, but I really love it! Lorac is a pretty good brand and I noticed that eyeshadow does stain the packaging. After I use my palette, I'm wiping eyeshadow off the case lol. I've heard good reviews on this palette!

  22. I have the Lorac Pro palette (original) and love it and I swear by their eye shadow primer it is the only one that truly works for me!

  23. i havent tried any of the shadows and palettes from Lorac, as I too have been intimiated by their brand - and whenever i go into sephora theres so many brands i dont know how to choose one of the other, so i tend to gravitate towards the ones I know! I've gotten samples from sephora but never used them, haha! I cant wait to see some looks with them, and i really like the burgundy swatch!! have a great weekend kim!

  27. Great review! This palette looks really nice. I love neutral shades and I feel the UD palettes are too shimmery for me. These look perfect!

  29. I don't have a fear of eyeshadows per se, I just hate having coloured eyes! I actually own a few brights myself but have never used them. They sit there in their compacts looking pretty, waiting for me to get some courage to wear them out. I love these neutral shades, perfect starting point into trying to get yourself into the eyeshadow groove.

  31. This is a great palette if you're somewhat new to using eyeshadows. I have Unzipped and the Unzipped Gold palettes and love them. They're definitely more adventurous, especially the Gold, but they're still neutral shades.
